GRAVY TRAIN

Today’s cartoon brings us to a packed Thanksgiving dining room where a freshly roasted turkey is the star of the show. The carver wonders if it will be enough for the crowd, and Mac King doesn’t seem too concerned, pointing out that this group knows how to make a meal disappear. Jumble Jeff is celebrating a Lions touchdown in the back, and the long line of guests with faces aglow gives the scene a warm holiday feel. With this many people and this much anticipation building around the meal, there’s no doubt this bird won’t be sticking around for long.

🧩 Jumble! Jeff’s Jems 🧩

ROLL CALL — The carving table has a basket of rolls and a square serving dish of mashed potatoes.

CORN-U-COPY THAT — Behind them, folding tables are set up across the room, each one with a cornucopia centerpiece, a plate of butter, and salt-and-pepper shakers.

TD ON THE TV — In the back right is a flat panel screen with “LIONS” painted in the end zone.

🧩 Final Solve 🧩

The final answer was a nine-letter anagram that would solve into a 7 + 2 layout. With today being Thanksgiving, the wording of the caption let the answer roll off my tongue without a glance at the cartoon or clue letters. If you had to work a little bit for your solve, the carved turkey, the loaded table, and the worry about having “enough for this crowd” should have given you more than enough to feast on.

National Bavarian Cream Pie Day — National Bavarian Cream Pie Day gives a little shine to one of the smoothest slices on the calendar. 💬 Say What

“Thanksgiving is an emotional holiday. People travel thousands of miles to be with people they only see once a year… and then discover they should do it less often.” — Johnny Carson

🥄 Viral Recipe

Double Layer Pumpkin Pie

This pie stays popular because the two layers give it a cleaner slice and a better bite. The bottom stays smooth and classic while the top turns light and creamy. It feels rich without being heavy, it sets up right every time, and it is usually the first dessert that disappears when people go back for more.

🛒 Daily Drops*

McDonald’s x Disneyland Resort Happy Meal — This drop stands out because it brings Disney back into the Happy Meal lineup with park-themed toys that collectors will chase. The pieces pull from Disneyland Resort characters and rides, and the packaging leans into the park look. Fans are calling it one of the stronger collaborations McDonald’s has done in a while.

Americans’ Favorite Airport Snacks — This one really is not a drop, but the numbers were too good to skip. The report names Oreo cookies as the top airport snack, followed by Jack Link’s Beef Jerky, Cheetos Puffs, Cheetos Flamin’ Hot Crunchy, and Twizzlers. At the bottom was Chobani vanilla yogurt, yet it ended up being the most popular airport snack in Massachusetts, proving every region has its own taste.
