🧠 Final Solve 🧠
The final solve was an anagram of 11 letters in a 1+3+7 layout, and it all hinged on Hagar asking for a “real” Russian dish when the waiter offered him normal fish. A RED HERRING is something meant to throw you off track, and this one did its job. It threw the waiter off, and it almost threw me off too. The red nods to old Russian politics, and the herring is the actual fish, but together it becomes an absurd request that makes the gag work. The ‘A’ was the obvious starting point for me, and once I caught the twist the rest fell into place. For anyone who did not spot it, you were probably ready to see the dessert menu!
