  1. Good Morning, Everyone..🎪 A TOP OF THE LINE JOB 🎪

🎶…I WALK THE LINE…🎶…”I Walk The Line” – Johnny Cash (original recording) 1956 https://tinyurl.com/2dvex4ab

🎪 A HUSKY man we’d hardly see, this job calls for one svelte,
Some say a SIXTH sense’s needed…to counter the nerves felt…
The crowds will GATHER…bated breath…hoping no one will bungle,
This tight rope act …(And tight indeed…trying to fit in JUNGLE)..
Our guy today is nervous…up there where his fate’s hung…
One can’t blame him for feeling…so tense and so…HIGH STRUNG…🎪

…This Tightrope Walker…Definitely facing. a job of (NERVOUS) WRECKS and BALANCES…

So…Today…Under the Big Top…where we find a novice Tightrope Walker, Fred A-SCARE trying to GET UP the nerve to not be a FLOP…But being such a NERVOUS, TENSE (= HIGH STRUNG) person, may be his DOWNFALL..Since with the Rope STRUNG so way up HIGH, he’s OVERHEAD, I mean overheard, saying that he “don’t think he can do it”…And despite the attempts at confidence being voiced by both his partner, Anne PATHAWAY, and the Ringmaster, Bob BARKER, Fred still has DREAD,…Perhaps he’s just FROZEN the wrong LINE of work…He’s definitely HIGH STRUNG  …https://tinyurl.com/6skp6y5 ..and let’s face it, Folks…for a man like him, it’s probably NET the best career choice…

Jeff’s💎Gem? That bead of sweat FALLING from Fred’s brow…WATER-noyance that must be…

So…There you have it, Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…and this puzzle reminds me of my friend, who recently met a woman named A-NET, ON LINE. She was part of a tightrope walking act, but was out of work, because her partner, BHALAN SINGH was called to India on short notice. And being who he is, my friend FELL hard for her, and agreed to help her with her act. Mind you, this from a man who we never knew to be well-BALANCED, nor have the discipline to TOE the LINE…So we’re thinking WIRE you doing this…how the hell did you get yourself ROPED into this?…And despite us telling him STRAIGHT out that he was getting in WAY OVER HIS HEAD, and was definitely putting his life on the LINE, he was insistent that while not an easy FEET, tightrope walking could be TAUT…and that he’d feel safe working with A-NET…Needless to say, it never CAME OFF…Because with his initial attempt, after climbing the ladder, it took one look at the rope and the ground, and the SLACKer lost his FOOTING…And with that, of course he FELL out of favor with A-NET…If you ask me, I think she was STRINGing him along the whole time…But has this TAUT him a lesson? FRAYED KNOT…He swears it’s partially our fault for LOOKING DOWN on him all the time…But we had to let him know that being friends with him is a constant BALANCING ACT, that he’s crossed the LINE one time too many…and it’s HIGH time he got himself GROUNDed…Anyway, right now things are all UP IN THE AIR with us…We figure once he comes DOWN OFF his HIGH horse, maybe we can reopen a LINE of communication…But In the meantime?…He’s WALKING on THIN ice as far as we’re concerned..🎪🙋🏻‍♀️

    …And a Shout 🗣️Out to David…All new anagrams today…🔠🙋🏻‍♀️

  2. 🤷🏻‍♂️The HUSKY SIXTH grader was very HIGH STRUNG, and refused to GATHER with the others for the JUNGLE Safari…🤷🏻‍♂️

🤦🏻‍♂️ The SIXTH chapter of the book he had dealt with a HUSKY cat,
That lived out in the JUNGLE…and more of this and that…
He had to GATHER up his thoughts…right now they’re so far-flung…
The book report is overdue…and now he’s so HIGH STRUNG…🤦🏻‍♂️

  4. 👍🏻Tightrope walking is definitely a skill,
It takes steadiness and a strong will…
    Perfect balance is key,
    Whether it’s he or she….
One’s nerves need remain very still…👍🏻

🎪 At the Circus the acts offer thrills,
And of course one doesn’t expect spills…
    But our guy here today,
    Is starting to sway…
    Doesn’t look like he’ll follow the drill…🎪

🤷🏻‍♂️Fred’s so new to the act and so tense,
And there’s no room up there for pretense…
    Makes you wonder just why,
    He chose something so high…
‘Cause right now he’s for sure on the fence…🤷🏻‍♂️

🤦🏻‍♂️There’s no way a tense person can do,
What our Fred here’s trying to pursue…
    Comes to do-or-die,
    There’s no wondering why…
Once you’re up there you need follow through…🤦🏻‍♂️

🤷🏻‍♂️One does wonder what will be Fred’s fate…
He can’t stand there and forever wait…
    His career may have tanked,
‘Long with his nerve that sank…
    It’s decision before it’s too late…🤷🏻‍♂️

  5. Is it too early for a bit of the bubbly ?? Maybe I’ll wait for lunch !! The best I could do was HIGH SOMETHING, at a first glance. So I unscrambled the four words easily and put this puzzle to bed pretty quickly. Concerning your friend, falling (for A-NET) is not a word he needs in his vocabulary. Thanks for the elaborate posting about him. Terry

  6. A good start of the work week with a quick solve of all. On another note,I finally was able to access the Kids Jumble yesterday afternoon, thanks for posting.Enjoyed the song reference today as well.Chuck.

  7. Good morning. “TGIM” Thank Goodness It’s Monday. No problem with the words and when it came time for the cartoon answer I got the first word but had to put the letters down to make the second one. Enjoyed your song choice Angela, I have him on two or three albums.

  8. Good morning again. I was unable to continue posting so I had to end it but I just wanted to say the wine and ice cream pie would be a great finish to a nice dinner. Until tomorrow take care.

    • Yes…Good Morning again. And I know what you mean, I’m still experiencing problems with posting too… And a resounding yes 👍🏻 to the wine and pie! Take care, Paul 🍷🥧🙋🏻‍♀️

  9. When you’re walking a very tight rope

You’ll need an awful lot more than just hope

    As you balance and sway

You hope this isn’t the day

That you fall and something gets broke1

    And speaking of being broke

Your finances too, can be a tight rope

    As you swither and sway

    Which bill should you pay

It can be a slippery slope!

Angela, I’m not sure that the word “swither ” is in Webster’s; it’s an old Scots word meaning to vacillate, to hum and haw and go back and forth about what to do and just seems to fit the occasion in today’s Jumble.

    Helen

    • 🗣️Thing is our guy Fred never did walk,
With him it was nothing but talk…
      No contact with rope,
      He just couldn’t cope…
All he did was just stand there and squawk…🗣️

🤦🏻‍♂️He was hired to give Folks a thrill,
But alas he failed to fit the bill…
Turns out our dear old Fred,
      Was so full of dread…
He never even risked a spill…🤦🏻‍♂️

      🤷🏻‍♂️Far as salary…how could there be…
Ten to one from this he’s def set free…
Yes, they’ll tell him to leave,
      Which will be his reprieve…
For he’s failed to the utmost degree…🤷🏻‍♂️

👎🏻And for him there’ll be no battle cry,
Since old Fred couldn’t deal with up high…
      He made a bad choice,
      And now he’s no voice…
Simply ‘comes down’ to a terse goodbye…👎🏻

      🤷🏻‍♀️As for swither, it’s a word well-known,
      Been in many American tomes…
      So no need to explain,
      It’s hardly arcane…
      Check MW…you’ll see that it’s shown!🤷🏻‍♀️

      • Interesting that swither is in use in USA. I haven’t heard it much in Canada and Word Press doesn’t like it.

        Helen

        • Word Press is a British site. They don’t like a lot of words…🤷🏻‍♀️

          • The last word – Word Press uses an American dictionary/thesaurus however, as the spelling is US not British in words like color/colour. Enough said – I’ll post no more today!

Much cooler weather here today. Hope it’s the same for you!

            Helen
