Good Morning, Everyone…🌳AT THIS TIME OF YEAR IT’S NOTHING YOU CAN SHRUB OFF…🌳
🎶I′m gonna live where the GREEN GRASS GROWS…🎶…”Where The Green Grass Grows” – Tim McGraw 1998 https://tinyurl.com/ytxvcmwn
🌳Although it is a SPRAIN of sorts…oh sorry I meant strain, KITTY and Matt knew that they had to tend to the terrain… No way to DODGE around it, the shrubs had to take root, Or lest they’d have a DROOPY mess…money wasted to boot They’ve worked up quite an appetite…a long day it has been… And now it’s time for dinner…and they’re READY TO DIG IN…🌳
Let’s make this really quick…Monday morning’s are always so busy…and besides, there’s KNOT MULCH needed to solve this one…
In order to PLANT shrubs, one needs to DIG…And DIG IN is a common idiom used when someone’s eagerly (= READY) looking forward to starting a meal…So with our dialogue telling us how hungry Kitty and Matt are…our solve? They were READY TO DIG IN… https://tinyurl.com/2vbn7zey …And we’ve easily, breezily PLANTED our feet firmly into the start of a new week…
Jeff’s💎Gem? The W and L on Matt’s cap…No clue…But I do wonder WATER happened to the hose?
So…There you have it, Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…And this puzzle reminds me of last year when my neighbor saw me kneeling in my garden, busily planting, and asked what I was doing. I told him that I was planting all my herbs in alphabetical order. Him: “Really? I don’t know how you find the time”…”Easy”, I told him…”it’s right there, next to the sage”…🌳🙋🏻♀️

What are the other two times you misspelled a singer’s name?

Maybe I wasn’t clear…I never misspelled a singer’s name. And I didn’t do so today either. How could it be a misspelling when the letters are nothing alike…I just had Tim’s Father, Tug, the Met’s pitcher’s name in my head…And the other two times…obviously…were when I used a song of Tim’s.🙋🏻♀️

🥘 Feeling DROOPY after the ankle SPRAIN…caused by trying to DODGE tripping over the KITTY…when dinner time rolled around he was READY TO DIG IN…🥘
📺 They were talking ‘bout Miss KITTY and that old western show, That was centered in DODGE City, so very long ago… A DROOPY air came over him…as it began to rain, Stuck indoors was no picnic…with his still sore ankle SPRAIN But eager for some old TV…at least there was a win… That she joined him for the watching and they’re READY TO DIG IN…📺

🌳 When Spring rolls around there’s the call, For trees and shrubbery to install… With a Nursery trip on dock, So we pick up our stock… And it’s home to unload the day’s haul…🌳
Wheelbarrow and spade set to go, Places picked where it’s the best to grow… And we dig ourselves holes, On to meeting our goals… With our shrubbery placed all in a row…
💦 And we water religiously, So the fruits of our labor we’ll see… And hope roots do take hold, So the area unfolds… Into a beautiful property…💦
🌳 It’s not easy work, and it takes time, But once rooted our plantings will climb… And the blood, sweat and tears, Will provide o’er the years … A look that we can call sublime…🌳
👍🏻 So to Kitty and Matt…”Take a rest, You’ve planted today to your best… Time to relax and dine, For you’ve put in the time… Fingers crossed now Nature does the rest”! 👍🏻
Not a great start to Jumble week, but couldn’t unscramble SPRAIN and didn’t solve the puzzle. Yes, in a bit of a hurry, but still ?? But glad you planted your THYME in the right place. See you Taco Tuesday. Terry

Good morning. The words were a breeze for me but I drew a complete blank on the cartoon answer. After reading your post Angela and going back to the picture I’m annoyed that I didn’t see the obvious hint for the answer. One of these days I’ll catch on to all the clues they give you. Until tomorrow take care.

Good Morning, Paul…No need to get annoyed, but yes, the clues are always there…it’s just a matter of taking a real good look at the cartoon…Take care…🌳🙋🏻♀️

You’ll have an appetite all right
After digging with all your might
And the good fresh air
Will make you aware
That it’s time for a hearty bite!

Yes, a craving worked up by the toil, As they tended to work with the soil… And as hours went by, Stomachs churned, throats ran dry… And there’s no way an appetite spoils…
🌳 So they sit down and enjoy a break, As a meal fit for two they’ll partake… Matt says, “Starving am I”, Kitty also replies… That the hard work a hungry gal makes…🌳
🥘 Yes…they’ll roll up their sleeves and dig in, To satisfy hunger within… The food def hits the spot, As they work out the knots… Until time again to begin…🥘
