  1. Good Morning, Everyone…🏠 LOOKING ON THE BRIGHT SIDE 🏠

🎶 Our HOUSE is a very, very, very fine HOUSE…🎶…”Our House” – Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young 1970  https://tinyurl.com/3st9mjeh

🏠 Their house took on a DROOPY look, that wasn’t very good,
Some little cracks yes did ERUPT in the brick and the wood…
And starting to look NEEDY…(here SQUISH is deemed misguided).
They opted for new siding at the house where THEY RESIDED…🏠

With another easy, breezy puzzle that you GUTTER admit solved itself, I’m sure you’ll all agree that it’s a SEAMLESS ending to our week…And on the OUTSIDE chance that you couldn’t NAIL it down…you can always reCOVER tomorrow…

Today…Anytown, USA. And we see the co-owners, NAIL and HOMEr, of an aluminum SIDE-ing business, “TIN MEN”, out to FOIL the problem of our homeowners, SANDra and John WANE. After having lived = RESIDED in their home for 20 years, they were FACED with the issue of its looks being on the wane, and NEW it was time to RE-SIDE it…And let’s be honest, Folks…that about COVERS it…Actually, David had us at Aluminum “EXTERIOR” ….noBODY says that…The Aluminum SIDING was being installed on the HOME where…THEY RESIDED…Home, sweet home, indeed!

Jeff’s💎Gems? The look on the dog’s face? PAWSitively comical…But you know where he NAILed it? Look closely at the mouth of the man at right…

So…There you have it Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…and this puzzle reminded me of my friend who like the rest of us has had it with phone solicitors. He recently got a call from an Aluminum Siding salesman, and he let the guy go on and on about its benefits for about ten minutes. The salesman then felt confident enough to say he’d set up an appointment and asked for my friend’s address…And my friend said…”243 Kent Avenue…Apt 3-C”…🏠🙋🏻‍♀️

  2. ..AND OUT OF THE ARCHIVES…The puzzle of March 26th, 2015. This 🤏🏻close… “A new aluminum exterior was being installed where they”…RESIDED…🔠🙋🏻‍♀️

  3. 🐶With the new puppies, Snoopy and DROOPY, growing, they seemed to become NEEDY for larger quarters than what THEY RESIDED in now…and before they began to SQUISH against one another and have a problem ERUPT, he decided it was time for a bigger cage…🐶

🐻The DROOPY-eyed stuffed Teddy Bear looked NEEDY that’s for sure,
His cotton started to ERUPT…could it bear one SQUISH more?
Right now it’s sitting on a shelf looking very lopsided…
Amongst the other animals in place where THEY RESIDED…🐻

  5. 🏚️When you live in a house 20 years,
It can tend to display wear and tear…
    And the elements claim,
    A lot of its frame…
So it might be in need of repair..🏚️

🏠Yes, siding at times might get bent,
But it’s usually money well spent…
    It gives houses a lift,
    When appearances drift…
Makes a house new to certain extent…🏠

👍🏻And our couple’s determined to stay,
In the house where they’ve paved their life’s way…
But they know time has come,
    To get some work done…
And they’re getting it started today…👍🏻

👍🏻We see they’ve decided to do,
What was needed to make their house “new”…
    And by opting for siding,
    They’ve sent blemishes hiding…
    And it’s garnering positive review…👍🏻

🏠Yes they’re happy with seeing so far,
That the siding has def raised the bar…
Home, sweet home, does ring true,
    For these satisfied two…
With a house better than up to par…🏠

  6. This jumble made me shake my head and roll my eyes ! The anagrams were there , except one made it ERUPT ! The rest were good ! Now the jumble was so obvious that it slipped by me thinking it was more complex ! The sentence of the solution , when it wants to know what THEY did ! I was looking for more than the obvious ! Yes they RE-SIDED in their home , but that was just too obvious , I guess I made it too difficult ! I’ll try to recoup and cap the week tomorrow Saturday ! Angela your song choice is one of my top choice song and bands ! I love CCR ! Me and my brother and another friend of ours had a band and we did that song and another one ! Great choice ! And your friends address was an apartment ? Good one ! Well , I’m gonna be ready for tomorrow’s jumbles to cap the week ! Have a good TGIF !!!!!

    • Jim…It’s not just that they Re-SIDED there…It’s the Aluminum SIDING too…They “re-SIDED” their home…No quotation marks…What else would it be? Yes, the solve’s obvious…but totally witty…🏠🙋🏻‍♀️

  7. Witty, complex and cryptic….such a Jumble morning. I got the blind solve okay, and that seemed pretty plain and simple. But the aluminum salesman joke I’ll have to ponder for the rest of the day. With the blind solve, I had to back in ERUPT…that was a toughie for me. Stay cool on this TGIF day and talk soon. Terry

  8. The siding was installed where THEY RESIDED, but it also is where THEY DESIRED.

    • The connection is the word SIDED…They RE-SIDED in the home, and they had the home RE-SIDED. The word Desired doesn’t come into play as far as a pun/play-on-words is concerned. 🙋🏻‍♀️

  9. Good morning. Erupt was my downfall. I actually had reupt down on paper and didn’t realize to reverse the re for erupt and I had my blueberries with my cereal today. No blind solve but after awhile success was achieved. Enjoyed your song choice and apt joke Angela. Would have liked to see the expression on the salesman’s face after his pitch. Until tomorrow take care.

  10. Needy stumped me but after looking this up, I had a quick solve of the cartoon on a rainy drizzly morning. Chuck.

  11. No problem with the jumbles, but the answer came slowly. I eventually saw desired, which left THEY. But the phrase didn’t make sense. I looked at desired and realized it could be jumbled into RESIDED. Then it made sense.

  12. Clever play on words today. Paused at erupt but other than that it was an easy solve. I’m remembering the song “This Ole House” by Rosemary Clooney. Happy Friday all! Betty

    • I thought of that too, Betty, but I think I used it once before. Not that it matters, really. But the CSN&Y song popped into my head first, so I went with it. This is for you…🏠🙋🏻‍♀️

  13. This house where we reside

Is a source of enormous pride

    We redo, we replace

    To make an immaculate space

    And employment we provide!

    We keep the economy going

    All this to and fro-ing

    Painting, replacing

And not just the side you are facing

And look how well it is showing!

  14. Almost wrote “desired* instead of “resided”. Fun puzzle today!
