  1. Good Morning, Everyone… 🚇 TUNNEL VISION! 🚇

🎶 And I’ll be taking care of business (every day)…Taking care of business (every way)…I’ve been taking care of business (it’s all mine)…Taking care of business and working overtime, work out…🎶 “Takin’ Care of Businss” – Bachman-Turner Overdrive 1973 https://tinyurl.com/y7vsrvn6

🚇 The GIANT tunnel would be built, no WEDGE to be seen here,
Some laborers from the ARMORY were hired to work share…
And tonight both our men seen here plan to enjoy FONDUE,
…And good wine just to celebrate the holdups fond adieu
The Channel Tunnel soon will be…and what we have today…
Beginning of construction…as the job GOT UNDERWAY…🚇

So…Today…A Tunnel…https://tinyurl.com/y2dwr46e And it’s 1988…We find ourselves CONNECTING with two construction managers, the Englishman, Alex BUILDwin, and the mustached Frenchman, Charles DIGaulle…And we’re on site at the construction of the “Channel Tunnel”https://tinyurl.com/rsr6jdhe (one oddly enough you can’t drive through), sometimes referred to as the “Euro Tunnel” as Jeff has chosen to do…(look closely at the name encircled on its side)…And let’s be honest, there’s not much of a case to BUILD here to solve this one…Tunnels go UNDER WAY…and as for this one, “after all these years” = it GOT UNDERWAYhttps://tinyurl.com/bdfxxwcp  And there’s definitely no need to DIG any DEEPER…

So…There you have it Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…And as we end our week, this puzzle reminds me of my friend who took a job doing highway construction…something I told him I didn’t think he was SLATED for. So, I offered some CONSTRUCTIVE criticism…but he just WAVED me off…Anyway, initially they had him FASTENING two pieces of METAL together…and that he found RIVETING…But then they permanently assigned him to DRILL holes…He said it was BORING…so he soon quit. And knowing him, I definitely saw that coming….I knew he’d BOLT…Highway construction?…Please…That’s why I told him from the beginning not to GO DOWN THAT ROAD…🚇🙋🏻‍♀️

  2. 🧀The GIANT celebration at the ARMORY finally GOT UNDERWAY, and the decision to serve a large WEDGE or two of Soppressata along with the FONDUE proved to be going over very well…🧀

🤞🏻The GIANT WEDGE between them had reached crescendo pitch,
The meeting at the ARMORY had to go off sans hitch
The FONDUE company’s future could not afford delay…
Fingers were crossed on both sides…as things GOT UNDERWAY…🤞🏻

  4. At first glance, the Jumble answer just popped into my brain….so it was an easy, breezy TGIF puzzle day. All anagrams solved speedily, too. We’ve so enjoyed riding the Chunnel when we travel to Europe…talk about a timesaver. Yes, I can see the logic in not letting cars drive through (for security reasons !!) Enjoy your TGIF, Angela….talk tomorrow. Terry

  5. TGIF ! Nice way to end the work week on a positive solve ! The anagrams were all there , but one , and I should’ve had a FONDUE ! Didn’t see it ! Th jumble was tricky talking about a tunnel and England and France ! I got three words that didn’t work ! Then I decided to start with the word GOT and then I clearly saw UNDERWAY ! I was very pleased that worked ! What a fun -Friday ! Way to Take Care of Business , Angela , with your song ! It was good ! The weather here in Ohio is beautiful sunshine ! Everyone have a great day !!!!!!

  6. Paused on armory but having solved that anagram I moved onto the cartoon and thought the first word was ‘was’ but lacking an ‘s’ I moved onto the final “ got underway “ solution. Happy Friday to one and all. Chuck.

  7. Good morning. Slowed down a bit on the last two words but my persistence finally prevailed and I was able to get them all. You were right on Angela of your explanation of the cartoon answer but the trees blocked my thinking for a blind solve so I had to resort to paper and pencil for the final answer. Enjoyed the song but if you gave me multiple choice on who the group is, I never would have guessed. Glad they devoted a hole day for the bagel, it deserves it’s just rewards. Until tomorrow take care.

    • Good Afternoon, Paul. Tk you. “…the forest for the trees” 👏🏻👏🏻! And yes, just rewards, indeed…Here’s to NY Bagels! 🥯Take care. 🚇🙋🏻‍♀️

  8. Easy one today.

I’ve been traveling the last few days, and, by coincidence, am in Dover, England today. Very close to the Chunnel entrance in England. I’m traveling in the UK, and not visiting France, so won’t visit the Chunnel. I also finally had time to solve the last couple of Jumbles and get caught up.

  9. Not a blind solve for me today but, I was able to work it through one word at a time. Thank you for the link to the BTO song. I loved that group when I growing up.

    Thanks

    Stan

  10. Posting very late today but yes all roads led to Paris for the spectacular opening ceremony!
