  1. Good Morning, Everyone…🔪STOCK OF AGES…🔪

🎶 He’s the toughest man there is alive…Wearing clothes from a wildcat’s hide…He’s the king of the jungle time…Look at that cave man go…🎶…”Alley Oop” – The Hollywood Argyles 1960 https://tinyurl.com/559fzh2b

🔪They needed something sturdy, no DROOP would fill the bill,
Always an EYELID open for what they would need to kill…
(CASINO isn’t working here, and there’s no one to THANK,
I tried to make it blend somehow…but only saw it tank)
Our puzzle deals with weaponry…and who would have the grit…
To come up with a new idea…and then to SPEARHEAD IT! 🔪

Before we start, I think a Shout Out’s 🗣️in order…All four of today’s anagrams are brand spanking new…David never ceases to amaze me…

So …back then, if you didn’t hunt, you didn’t eat…and if you didn’t eat…well there’d definitely be cause to BEEF…But there’s no BEEFing about our puzzle here today…and no reason to get yourself on EDGE…because this one’s practically etched in STONE…

Today…The Paleolithic Age… https://tinyurl.com/2cjnn8j9  ..and we find ourselves amongst a group of cavemen, left to right…ROCK Hudson, Eric STONEstreet, Tab HUNTER, and Oscar WILD…trying to reinvent the wheel…or to put it more BLUNTly…looking for an idea that would STICK…Tired of having to get so close to their PREY, that they’d often need to resort to it…PRAYING, that is…they know they need to find something better than a club, and LONG for a weapon that would CUT corners for them…while of course still MEATing their standards…And they’ve decided that for this PROJECT, Eric’s the one who should SPEARHEAD IT https://tinyurl.com/bddh76sm  …and that’s the whole POINT of today’s puzzle…And if you didn’t see all the TIPS in this easy, breezy one…if you couldn’t read the hieroglyphics on the wall…if you got STUCK for the answer…well, PAL,EOLITHIC like it’s time for you to BONE up…because with ‘WEAPON TIPS’ = SPEARHEADS in our question, and Jeff’s BEEFed up dialogue of “better idea” and “in charge” = LEAD, not to mention the SPEAR HEAD https://tinyurl.com/mr2j7jef  itself taking center stAGE…this one was easily SLAYED…I mean played…Let’s face it, you SPEARly needed to break a THREAT…

And Jeff’s💎Gems? Well we do have Eric’s man bun, HAIR…KNOT to be overlooked…but it’s Oscar saying his “CLUBbing” days are over that DRAGGED me in…Guaranteed that topless WILD man was the ROCK & Roller of the bunch…I can see it now…Caveman discovers weed, Caveman discovers fire…The STONE AGE begins…

So…There you have it Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…And this puzzle reminds me of my friend, who has the weirdest gait…He always seems to be wandering a path when he walks…We tell him he’s a MEANDER-thal…🔪🙋🏻‍♀️

  2. 👁️Being an ophthalmologist, when she noticed that the CASINO worker had a DROOP to his EYELID, she knew what needed to be done, and offering to SPEARHEAD IT, he was quick to THANK her…👁️

🎲 His spirits had started to DROOP, his EYELID had an itch,
He’d THANK his lucky stars if he’d get through without a hitch…
“Get out of the CASINO, it’s def time you need to quit”,
…His friend told him quite firmly…and offered to SPEARHEAD IT! 🎲

  3. …AND IN OTHER WORDS…🔠🙋🏻‍♀️

THANK: Last used – 10/21/2022 as TNAHK

EYELID: Last used – 2/12/2022 as LEDYIE

CASINO: Last used – 11/16/2023 as NISACO

    …ANAGRAM HISTORY…🔠🙋🏻‍♀️

ODOPR: Used on – New anagram

NKHAT: Used on – New anagram

LEDEIY: Used on – New anagram

SCNOIA: Used on – New anagram

DRPTHAEEASI: Used on – New anagram

      • Uh…no. Would you care to give a definition? There’s no such word as IDELEY… 🤦🏻‍♀️

  4. 🤷🏻‍♂️Back then it ‘twas all ‘bout the hunt,
The Cavemen along with their grunts…
Went for fur and for grub,
    And were using their clubs…
‘Til they realized progress hit a stunt…🤷🏻‍♂️

🤦🏻‍♂️With a club that did only so much,
Needing to get so close as to touch…
    …Their intended prey,
    They longed for a way…
To keep them from being in Dutch

🤔So they sat down inside Oscar’s joint,
    And decided a man they’d appoint…
    To devise a way,
To make ease of the slay…
    And Eric’s the one they’d anoint…🤔

👍🏻And ol’ Eric took bull by the horns,
    Pun intended…(I’m here to inform)…
    He took their wooden spears,
    And allayed any fears…
With a much better way to perform…👍🏻

👏🏻👏🏻Made a tip to attach to said wood,
    And the others quickly understood…
    Spearheads turned out quite nice,
    Into prey now they’d slice…
And to Eric they said, “You done good”! 👏🏻👏🏻

  5. Yes, Angela….there were many give-a-way hints which should have been SOOO easy to spot…but nonetheless, I missed them. I picked out SHARP instead of SPEAR and that led nowhere. Great song and remember it well !! Enjoy your Thirsty Thursday…I think I need to wake up a bit before proceeding. Terry

  6. Well this thirsty-Thursday left me dry ! And the anagrams I am confused and I hope I’m not missing anything , but Angela you have a list of them all being brand spanking new , but then I see a list of when they were last used ! I’m probably missing something , but I had a real tough one today , big hump to get over , and the jumbles solution cut me also ! I’m going to have to rest and hear toward tomorrow’s for an end of a great jumble week ! Have a great thirsty-Thursday !!!!!!

    • Yes, you’re missing something. The words were used before, but not the corresponding anagrams. DROOP was used before, but not as ODOPR, etc…🔪🙋🏻‍♀️

      • yes ! , I thought that might have been the reason , so now I know ! Thank you ! And I will work on my misses !

  7. Good morning. Loved your song choice Angela. Perfect for this jumble and as you said it was fairly easy. This time I really looked at the cartoon carefully and the hints to its solution was right there. Another blind solve for me. Until tomorrow take care.

    • Good Morning, Paul. Tk you…and Kudos on the solve! Take care…🔪🙋🏻‍♀️

  8. I had a blind solve on the cartoon answer without even solving the anagrams but then after solving the first 3 anagrams, casino had me stumped. Wishing all a good day, especially Angela! Chuck.

    • Tk you, Professor. And Kudos on the solve! 🔪🙋🏻‍♀️

    • You do a wonderful job, Miss Eleanor. God bless. Wishing you a good day too. 🙋🏻‍♀️

    • You’re joking, right? He devised a HEAD for a SPEAR…Not to mention the definition of Spearhead…’Nuff said…🙋🏻‍♀️

  9. When you’re the one to spearhead

Then you have to plan ‘fore you tread

Be as keen as an arrow (I know, I’m getting my weapons mixed up!)

Keep your path true and narrow

And always keep eyes straight ahead!

  10. I had a small delay due to EYELID, but the rest was easy. I saw IT, and the letters left instantly gave me SPEARHEAD. I am surprised that so many didn’t solve it.

    • Kudos, Dennis..👏🏻👏🏻…And I am too. It seemed to leap right off the page. 🔪🙋🏻‍♀️

    • No…it’s not. CAISSON is a word…Two “S”s The word CASINO has been in Jumble play numerous times over the years. 🙋🏻‍♀️
