    • Good Morning, Everyone…🍶 FIRST IN HIS GLASS 🍶

🎶 HAND jive, HAND jive, HAND jive, doin’ that CRAZY HAND jive…🎶…”Willie and the Hand Jive” – Johnny Otis 1958 http://tinyurl.com/bdz7fxzf

🍶He’ll ATTACH his name to every piece…no reason he should FEIGN,
That he’s not so proud of all of it and the standard he maintains…
He was happy to ELECT this…but he’d be MADDER day by day,
If every piece that he produced not worthy of display
His customers all satisfied…no one ever feels shafted…
These works of art that he creates? Each one is “HAND-CARAFE-TED”…🍶

      Today’s puzzle? IMO? …DECANT get any better than this…TaLk about a message in a BOTTLE…Just a CARAFE-ty, sly solve…that really KILNed it…

So…I don’t know which of our clues was the biggest today. We have our question, giving us “open-topped bottles” = CARAFEs, http://tinyurl.com/yc589cwb and “custom”, = HAND made, and our dialogue with the “one-of-a-kind”= again, HAND made… Then we have the name Theodore, the long version of “TED”, which stands out like a sore HAND, I mean thumb… And then there’s our cartoon showing the five CARAFEs…plus the overall obviousness of “TED”, using his HANDs to create them…And to TOP it all off, the quotation marks including all three words, letting us know that there’s POUR, I mean more, than one plays on words?…PHEW…Let’s face it Folks, this one just POURED right out… And as a result, this wasn’t a time when I needed to tell the Early Birds to put a CORK in it at all…There was no LIP, and no WINEing amongst them…they were easily able to BOTTLE it all up. And I raise my GLASS to David and Jeff… You gotta HAND it to them…this puzzle was very well CRAFTED…as were Ted’s bottles …They were perfectly “HAND-CARAFE-TED”http://tinyurl.com/2fxtp4wj

Jeff’s Gems? We see Ted holding a peel, while a paddle and pliers are nearby. And the logo of “Theodore’s Glassware”, a carafe seated atop flame, is SANDsational…

So…There you have it Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…And this puzzle reminds me of a friend of mine who has a LATTE ridiculous quirks when it comes to food and drink…Before he came to my house last, I was a little PRESSED for time, so I brewed a pot of coffee and put it into a CARAFE to keep hot…When I poured it, he refused to drink…Said “AFFOGATO tell you something, I don’t enjoy deCARAFEinated coffee”…To which I answered, “Really?..What’s SUMATRA with you? You’ve BEAN here so many times before and never ESPRESSOed that…Well, as far as I’m concerned then, it’s this or nothing…this is the end…’cause it justifies the BEANS”…And we almost came this 🤏🏻 close to a real BREWhaha…Sometimes he can be just a real PANE in the GLASS..🍶🙋🏻‍♀️

    • 🤷🏻‍♂️Without getting MADDER, they needed to not only ELECT which two people would man the booth of HANDCRAFTED items, but whose name they would ATTACH to it…and it was hard to FEIGN the fact that jealousy was rearing its ugly head…

🙇🏻‍♂️He got MADDER by the minute, but ‘twas his turn to select,
And he couldn’t FEIGN his anger as they’re trying to ELECT
Whose name they will ATTACH to the bill after it gets drafted…
He thinks it should be everyone..not singularly HANDCRAFTED…🙇🏻‍♂️

    • 🧔🏽As an artisan Ted plied his trade,
And took pride in the bottles he made..,
      One-of-a-kind are all,
      Some are short, others tall…
And in colors from bright red to jade…🧔🏽

👍🏻Works long hours but can take the heat,
And his pieces very hard to beat…
      Customers do return,
For this glass that he burns…
And there’s no one around to compete…👍🏻

🍷And the woman we see here today,
Is quite taken and prompted to say…
“They’re unique…and made so very fine,
Can I use one when I’m serving wine”?
To which Ted said, “Oh yes, Ma’am, you may”…🍷

👏🏻👏🏻 It’s not often we see such fine art,
Craftsmanship is now rare for most part …
But Ted still stays the course,
      And produces in force…
And he does so with all of his heart…👏🏻👏🏻

🍶So it’s Carafes today that we praise,
And we marvel at what Ted displays,
      Yes, all one-of-a-kind,
      Every piece a rare find…
Pretty bottles embossed with a glaze…🍶

  2. WOW ! What a fun jumble today ! The anagrams had me stumped with 2 of them , but suzie joined me and she got ELECT and FEIGN ! The jumble with 13 letters and all the A’s had me vowelled out , but again with the help of suzie , she came up with CARAFE , that pours liquid out of a bottle , so when I wrote that word down , what was left was HAND and TED which was added to CARAFE ! And Angela the song choice I’ve heard many times but never saw the video ! It was awesome ! And your description of the jumble with thumbs up to David and Jeff was very Punn -on ! What a fun and awarding jumble ! I thank my suzie for helping me ! Have a good day !!!!!!

  3. Well….at least it’s National Pizza Day. Other than that, was a dismal Jumble morning for me. No blind solve, but did the anagrams easily….but just couldn’t come up with the word CARAFE. Oh, well….busted. Enjoyed the song and your excellent musings. Just like in NYT Connections, it looks so easy once it’s solved !!! Enjoy your TGIF, Angela. Terry

    • Tks, Terry…and yes, Pizza Day…🍕🍕…So even DOUGH the puzzle solving might not have been great, you can at YEAST find some comfort there..Enjoy! 🍶🙋🏻‍♀️

        • YW!…And Connections..I found it a bit challenging today. Good luck! 🍕🙋🏻‍♀️

          • I usually do pretty well…but not today. I’d take the “a bit” out of your statement. And the Wordle in 6 !! Definitely not my puzzle day. Enjoy

            • Thank God there’s that pizza, huh?…😉.. I finished it, but it took me almost double my usual time. And I got lucky with guesses on the third category, which of course gave me the 4th. There wasn’t a lot of confidence at play…And ironically it was the “NA”… (I don’t want to give it away in case anyone’s reading this)…one stomped me! The horror! 😂😂 🔠🙋🏻‍♀️

  4. Oh yes, you definitely can or you can’t

Good be for wine that you want to decant

    It has many uses

    Whatever you chooses

Some flowers or even a plant!

  5. I’m in good company with the number of us stumped by the hyphenated cartoon answer! Hope the rest of the day goes better for us all! Chuck.

    • Well, at least it’s sunny here today finally, but no snow. Temps above zero today. There was fog again yesterday. Sometimes I think we’re living in San Francisco!

  6. Totally stumped at the cartoon answer today. Kept thinking “canter” was the middle word and could’t get past it and even I couldn’t make any words out of the remaining letters: HDDFAAE, had to throw in the towel. 49er Fever is rampant here in San Francisco and the Bay Area but with Taylor Swift rooting for the Chiefs, not sure how much of a fan base we have that isn’t local. Nonetheless GO NINERS!! 🏈 Betty
