We’re seeing here in PRINT today how Jeff caught Kathy’s glance,
And it did PROMPT him to realize not to leave things to chance…
She knows he’s lost enough today…so what it is Jeff’s got?
He’d be wise to spend it eating…As for Blackjack?…”BETTOR” NOT!💲
Ok…So my first comment out of the SHOE, I mean blue, to the Early Birds when I saw what we’d be DEALING with today was…”You BETTER NOT get this one wrong”….because as any dedicated Jumble PLAYER knows, we’ve been gambling and using the word “BETTOR” in our puzzles since day WON…Case in POINT…just a few puzzles that have been SPREAD out OVER the years… http://tinyurl.com/ymutwyay …and http://tinyurl.com/3xyp9dck ….and http://tinyurl.com/5bmyueee …I really should take the time to COUNT them all one day…BET there’s at least 21…Anyway, I’m pretty sure it’s in the CARDS that you’ll all have this puzzle easily UNDER control…
So…Jeff and his BETTER half, the lovely Kathy, in Vegas…at a BLACKJACK http://tinyurl.com/22y8kjy6 table…And from the looks of the chairs, they’re at the Jumble Casino. I tell you…that franchise has definitely STACKed up EXPENSIVE, I mean extensive HOLDINGs…Be a good BET to put your money on them…Anyway…For our question to be telling us that Jeff wants “to take out more money”…CHANCES are it’s a pretty good BET that he’s already SURRENDERED whatever money he had….And throwing good money after bad is never a good BET…Which explains why Kathy isn’t BUYing IN to it, CUTTING her eyes at him that way…And Jeff, knowing that she’d never DEVIATE from steering him right, realizes it’s time to make a SPLIT-second decision to STAND down and BACK OFF…figuring he “BETTOR” NOT opt for the ATM…and instead heed the HEADS UP Kathy’s not even trying to CAMOUFLAGE…So…DINNER it is…He’s definitely BETTOR off HITting that buffet…
Jeff’s Gems? The one on the dealer’s pinkie finger is outSTANDing…there’s the Luxor and Excalibur Hotels in the background…and Kathy’s drinking a Hurricane…But the MONEY shot has to be what’s hanging ROUND Jeff’s neck…Unless I’m missing some pop culture connection…he really should be BARRED for that alone!
So…There you have it, Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe….And I have a friend who’s a yoga instructor, and one night, playing Blackjack at a Casino, was asked by the dealer if he wanted another card…He said, “Namaste”…Give it a minute…💲🙋🏻♀️

🚀 When the teen, with her NIMBLE fingers, was leafing through her Dad’s PRINT copy of Space ORBIT flights, he was PROMPT to say, “You BETTER NOT be getting any ideas of “flying” off with that”!🚀

Not PROMPT enough with sealant …which now was very clear
Never known to be quite NIMBLE, he thought he’d take a shot…

Great start to the morning puzzle scene with a Jumble blind solve. All the anagrams were speedily solved, too. I didn’t get your parting joke, until I divided NAMASTE into three syllables….voila !! This week has been an awesome week ! And to cap it off was today’s Saturday jumble ! The anagrams were all perfectly there for me ! The jumble , made me think of some of the times I was gambling at the casino and I’ve been there to say , I BETTOR NOT ! What a nice jumble cap on the week , Saturday ! And what a blast from the past song Angela ! It brought back old memories ! And I agree with Terry about the blackjack dealer , I think I might have said Namaste , once ! Everyone have a great weekend !!!!!!!

This is getting to sound like an Abbott & Costello routine! 😂 The player said he’d STAY meaning he didn’t want another card. It’s Blackjack… It has nothing to do with the “definition” of Namaste…When I said is no one familiar with it, I meant the “word”,.. the pronunciation of the word…and it’s use as a PUN …Again, the player is a YOGA instructor…hence the Namaste connection…But I think it’s best we just let this one go…No mas! …If it calls for this much explanation…it’s a bust…The Early Birds all got it…Hopefully somebody out there will too! 😂🙋🏻♀️

Hello Angela. Apologies for the late response, but I loved your use of the Namaste pun in your narrative. In our Yoga class, our leader always ends with prayer pose and bows and says Namaste and we respond back with Namaste. It is a warm and meaningful way to end the session.

I’m late with my post today. I’ve had a lot of local driving to do in the past couple of days through horrible, sloppy, slushy, grey and very foggy weather (southern Ontario) and everything has taken longer. I’m sure that other jumblers in this part of the continent have had similar! Dreich doesn’t even begin to describe it! Angela, I hope Thursday Jan 25, was on your calendar as the day for all poets and that you did a couple of jigs to celebrate.
