    🧹🧽They SHRANK in horror when they saw what these five kids had done,
    A blow just like a HAMMER hit…they wished that they could run…
    Seems WILLOW’s friends have had their fill…a sugar rush took over,
    And now it’s ONWARD to clean up…Oh no…who’s watching Rover?
    He’s eating chips there on the floor, and where’s the SOCCER ball..
    The kids were kicking earlier that started a small brawl?
    It’s days like this a parent has fleeting thoughts to SECEDE,
    To close their eyes and drift away…such patience do they need
    This clean up will take hours now…is what they both suspect…
    Call it a day…we hear them say… ‘cause the REC ROOM WAS WRECKED! 🧽🧹

    My first thought…these kids “WRECKED the joint”…as we say in Brooklyn. My second thought, past tense. And then it just hit me….I think it was the Father’s comment, the staircase, the dart board on the wall, and the movie poster…A REC ROOM. https://tinyurl.com/y5rktyyf I looked over to see if the first word had three letters…and I had the solve. But 3 of the Early Birds struggled…

    And WRECK https://tinyurl.com/ntex4u8v the ROOM these kids did…There’s plates with half-eaten pieces of cake and pizza lying all over, there’s spilt drinks, opened bags of chips, a dripping smashed bottle of soda, candy strewn about from the still swinging piñata…of which the two little girls are overly indulging in…overturned chairs and there’s a discarded pizza box. There’s a pin the tail on the donkey game…badly played…on the wall, as well as the aforementioned dart board, which seems to have suffered the same fate. What the little boy is trying to do to it though…I’m not sure. Maybe lower it to adjust more to his height. And then we have the other two little darlings…one jumping on the chair and the other sliding down the bannister. What these parents were doing though, while all this got so out of control? You got me…But the afterMATH…definitely ADDs up to a real mess…Bottom line? The REC ROOM WAS WRECKED…

    …And Jeff’s special Gem? Look closely at the movie poster I spoke of earlier. It reads..”Jumble – The Movie” …And last December we had a puzzle featuring just that. https://tinyurl.com/444maykv and displaying the same poster…Well PLAYED, Jeff…well played…

  3. ⚽️ When the SOCCER Coach saw how the REC ROOM WAS WRECKED, she brought the HAMMER down, threatening to have the team SECEDE the rest of the season…and while the team captain, WILLOW, SHRANK in embarrassment, she was joined by the team in promising to do better going ONWARD…⚽️

    🤷🏻‍♀️ She sat beneath the WILLOW tree, and watched the SOCCER game,
    A HAMMER pounding in her head…she had herself to blame…
    She wondered now should she SECEDE, she SHRANK just at the thought
    But how could she go ONWARD…maybe best no battle fought
    ‘Twas up to her to monitor the kids…but failed to check…
    And when she finally did? Too late…’cause the REC ROOM WAS WRECKED… 🤷🏻‍♀️

  4. Totally flummoxed by today’s puzzle…mostly because we could not think of a three letter word to start. Had all the anagrams solved but did not come up with that abbreviated word. Oh well. Chalk this one up to the Jumble makers !!Terry

  5. 👧🏻👦🏻When you’re throwing a party for tots,
    Make a list of what’s definitely not…
    Acceptable fare,
    Or parents beware…
    You’re likely to end up quite fraught…👦🏻👧🏻

    🤦🏻‍♂️Just five children and havoc they’ve wreaked,
    And now it has def reached its peak…
    And we hear Dad lament,
    That now time will be spent…
    On a huge and thorough cleaning streak…🤦🏻‍♂️

    🍕🎂Pizza, chips and the remnants of cake,
    Is what these kids have left in their wake….
    A piñata still swings,
    And amongst other things…
    There’s a chance one of two chairs may break…🎂🍕

    🤦🏻‍♀️Willow’s parents really should have known,
    That at this age kids simply are prone…
    To act all hog-wild,
    Including their child…
    And now they’re just left to bemoan…🤦🏻‍♀️

    🧹🧽So the party has come to an end,
    Willow need say goodbye to her friends…
    ‘Cause with things such a wreck,
    It’s now all hands on deck…
    And her parents a cleanup must tend! 🧽🧹

  7. Hello Sunday Funday ! Tough Sunday jumble today ! The anagrams were all there except SECEDE ! I just wasn’t sure if the spelling on it ! The rest were good ! The jumble was a WRECK ! Couldn’t get it all ! I’ll take a break and start a new jumble week tomorrow Monday ! Jim .

  9. Had all the anagrams and all the letters but too many words to solve the cartoon. Maybe the dreary cloudy rainy skies caused my Jumble wipeout!

  10. I solved the words, with a slight pause at ONWARD. For the answer, I didn’t see a three letter word that began the phrase. I therefore looked for a four letter word and found ROOM. The third word was probably WAS, and searched the remaining letters to find WRECKED. That left REC. nice workout today.

    • And Kudos to you, Dennis, for sticking with it! 👏🏻👏🏻! …As per the discussion I had with the Early Birds…granted, it might seem to be a little unorthodox as far as solves go, but we did have a puzzle with an extremely similar solve in 2020. But I do agree that the three letter start to this one might pose a bit of a challenge, if one didn’t hit on WRECK right from the door. Anyway, another one bites the dust, no pun intended…And again, I applaud you for not giving up…Well done! 👍🏻🙋🏻‍♀️

  11. Good morning. Totally shot down on both ends of jumble. Missed a couple of words and when it came time for the jumble I just stared at the seventeen letters for the longest time until I actually knocked out. That’s when I decided it’s time to looked it up. This answer was a doozy. Until tomorrow take care.
