And her Dad’s work shift out on the FLEET was about to begin…
He hardly slept the whole night, DIRTY dishes in the sink,
With his wife working the night shift he felt he was on the brink
He’d insisted they could manage with no one to baby sit…

Ok ! This one was probably the farthest solution of jumbles that I’ve ever seen ! I don’t think my brain was wrong or I was tired , I just didn’t see any connection ! Yes , I saw the earth round and the one word FLATLY , but to DENY IT , was way out of this world ! One of the hardest ones I’ve had ! Hats off to the anagrams ! They were all so earthy ! Ok , not a big fan of this one ! Everyone have a great thirsty-Thursday !!!!
Took a quick look at puzzle cartoon and felt that FLAT had to go somewhere. So searched around for a minute or two, until it came to pass that maybe a form of FLAT could be the first word. Voila !! Unlike others, thought this was a fairly clever way to juxtapose FLAT against ROUND. And wow…Les Paul and Mary Ford !! Now there’s a pair of excellent musicians from the 50’s. Nice post, Angela. Hope you get tech issues solved, as speedily as you do your puzzles.

Good morning. I continue to have good luck this week with a solve on both ends. Maybe if I thought a little longer I might have come up with a blind solve because it was there to grasp but I’m happy I finally got the answer. Always enjoyed the music from Les Paul and Mary Ford Angela. I was expecting to see poodles on the girls skirts. I remember that trend back then. Until tomorrow stay well and be safe.
