  1. Good Morning, Everyone… 🏔️OH…FOR CRYIN’ OUT CLOUD! 🏔️

🎶 Oh, play me some MOUNTAIN music…Like Grandma and Grandpa used to play…Then I’ll float on down the river…To a Cajun hideaway,…🎶 “Mountain Music” – Alabama 1982 https://tinyurl.com/2p8jdvf9

🏔️David and Claire love the outdoors, they pack and then UNPACK,
When they set out on hikes and such…a new trail out to track…
With Daisy Dog beside them, her EAGLE eyes to view,
The greenery and scenic skies…the blend of every hue…
(And there’s no place for PUPPET here, nor JOKER…not today,
This puzzle simply’s showing us how these three spent a day)…
And though it first was dismal…sans the view they hoped to seek…
When the clouds finally parted? Voila!…a PEEK AT THE PEAK! 🏔️

After living in Chicago for so many years, David and his bride, the lovely Claire, made the move to a beautiful, scenic area near Seattle, WA, where they could make the most of the outdoor life they both cherish…And today we get a PEEK at a typical day for them…enjoying the terRAIN…(I couldn’t resist..it is near Seattle)…along with their much loved Miss Daisy Dog. And while Washington State has at least 64 named mountain ranges, I’m going with Mt Rainier. Not just because it’s probably the best known, but because I like the name…it brings to mind the Monegasque Prince…

So…Today we see David and Claire looking FIRy comfortable sitting on a log out in the woods…And the look of joy on their faces when the clouds finally dissipate and they’re able to see Mt Rainier says it all…So to SUMMIT all up? They got a PEEK AT THE PEAK…Good to see…it was surely a MOUNTAIN DEW them…

And Jeff’s Gem? He has David holding a steaming cup of coffee…And I’m sure it’s a strong GROUND roast!

So…There you have it Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…And I have a lot of friends like David and Claire…always telling me how much fun it is to climb mountains…but I’m INCLINED to disagree…personally I just don’t get the POINT…To me, the difference between hell and a hill is a fine line, and I’m just not the BOULDER type. The mosquitoes…out for BLOOD, the woodland creatures…seeming to GNAW I’m afraid…the whole CLIMB IT change…I’d much rather LEAF it all behind…I’m definitely a terra FIRMa believer in MOUNTAINing my distance from it all…What can I say…I just don’t have a positive ALTITUDE about it …It just doesn’t PEAK my interest…BOTTOM line? I’m sure it’s something I’ll never ASCENT to…🏔🙋🏻‍♀️

  3. 🤷🏻‍♂️Nowhere near having an EAGLE eye, he figured he’d still get a PEEK AT THE PEAK with his binoculars…but his JOKER of a brother was the one to UNPACK last time, and they were missing…along with the PUPPET and coloring books he had bought for his son…🤷🏻‍♂️

🤦🏻‍♂️They planned to have some PUPPET shows, they would be held outdoors,
They’d build a little campfire and maybe roast s’mores…
But when they went to UNPACK, the EAGLE Scouts did find,
Some JOKER had tied all the strings…and they couldn’t UNWIND
One from the other…and were left with Cub Scouts for the week…
Who’d have to be content with games …and a PEEK AT THE PEAK…🤦🏻‍♂️

  4. 🧗🏻‍♂️ Claire and David set out for a hike,
And at first they were pretty well psyched…
    But the sky wasn’t clear,
    So no peak did appear…
And they chalked it up to a first strike…🧗🏻‍♀️

🌬Time went by and they sat for a spell,
    Disappointed yet still doing well…
    But an hour went by,
Still those clouds in the sky…
Thoughts of strike two weren’t easy to quell…🌬

🐶 Daisy sat with them keeping quite still,
Lots of birds all about sounding shrill…
    And together the three,
    Felt a sense of ennui…
While the air picked up the slightest chill…🐶

👏🏻👏🏻Then the clouds dissipated a bit,
And they glanced up and soon spotted it…
    Peeking out…mountain top,
    The day wasn’t a flop!
And across their faces smiles lit…👏🏻👏🏻

🏔 Bottom line here…with Nature you know,
There’ll be times when things simply won’t go…
    The way that you hoped,
But one does learn to cope…
    Patience paid off…that peak…it did show! 🏔

  5. It’s taco-Tuesday and so far this week is going very well ! I did have some trouble with a couple anagrams, so I’ll have to UNPACK that one , and I felt bad that I couldn’t fly like an EAGLE ! So I’ll be the JOKER and make like a PUPPET , and get the jumble ! The letters jumped out when I read that they could see the summit through the clouds and they got a PEEK AT THE PEAK ! That made it so visible ! Your song Angela is one of my favorites ! Loved it ! So I’m gonna have to get me some won ton tacos and celebrate another fine jumble day this week ! Everyone have a great taco-Tuesday !!!!!

  6. Such clever puns and commentary, Angela! I also like the song, and an interesting NOTE is that the spacy intro sound to the video is actually from The Alan Parsons Project 1977 masterpiece “I Robot.”

    • Thank you, Tom. Very much appreciated…And I too like the song…it’s a great mix…Pleasant dreams…🏔🙋🏻‍♀️

  7. Good morning. A follow up of yesterdays result. No sweat no problem but not a blind solve. I guess my page was still a little cloudy. Really enjoyed your song video Angela. Until tomorrow take care.

    • Good Morning, Paul. Tk you…Be well and stay safe out there…🏔🙋🏻‍♀️

  8. Love the days when a blind solve is followed by easily solved anagrams. Yum, Yum for the Jumble and Pi day. Angela, you must have been inspired by all the mountain folklore…you posted some inspirational words for us to read about. Enjoy your Taco Tuesday.

  9. Easy breezy Tuesday puzzle. Great song, Miss Angela. I’m tapping my toes as I listen to it. I love country music. Of course there’s that other mountain climbing song that would fill the bill as well but I don’t want to traumatize you so early in the week so I won’t mention it. Happy Taco Tuesday all!

    • Hey Betty. Yes, it is …I’m a country music fan too…it definitely fits every mood! And yes again, that “other” song is like an albatross around my neck! 😂😂Wishing you a good day too! 🏔️🙋🏻‍♀️

  10. I had the anagrams even with the multitude of P’s but thought the cartoon was peak at the peak rather than peek at the peak, but lacking the extra ‘a’ for 2 peaks , led me to the correct conclusion.
Being a retired math professor, I appreciate the reference to the national Pi Day.

    • I was a math student also , so write the 3.14 for pi on a white piece of paper , turn it around and looks like you spelled PIE ! Just a little math fun !

  11. Enjoyed today’s easy solves, and mountaintop vista. Reminds me of past hikes and climbs, including summit of Mauna Loa. Special treat reminder of National Pi day, and nature’s infinite complexity!
