Good Morning, Everyone…🏧PRESS ONE FOR THE MONEY, TWO FOR THE SHOW…THREE TO GET READY…AND WATCH CASH FLOW…🏧
🎶 Tried my ATM card, county bank…It flashed me no funds…Even told me no thanks…Wouldn’t give it back to me…(It’s all I could afford)…SPENT (no it just don’t last)…Yeah it goes too fast (it ain’t coming back)…I don’t know where it went (spent it on your friends)…All I know is it gets spent (yeah it just gets spent)…Yeah, the MONEY gets spent…🎶 ”Spent” – Trick Pony 2001 https://tinyurl.com/2shbxpmv
🏧Two women friends WHOSE finances are really at a stretch,
And we can see our girl Mona has now begun to kvetch…
It does APPEAR she has concern…things definitely must change,
No eating out, no DRESS shopping…things must be rearranged…
This advance Mona’s taking ‘specially after Tuesday’s deuce,
Is gonna hurt her balance…and she has no good EXCUSE
She’s gotten lax, she’s spent too much…but hey it’s no news flash…
You can’t worry ‘bout money only when you’re PRESSED FOR CASH! 🏧
The ATM. Which in our girl’s case may soon stand for “At The Max”…
And she’s feeling the PRESSure now, because whatever or wherever she’s faced with doesn’t accept credit cards…Time to tighten your belt, Girl…it looks like that BALANCE problem isn’t vertigo…
So…Today we see our two characters, LOIS PRICE, and MONA LOT, standing at an ATM outside the BLOOD Bank. And you’d think that by now, they’d know that taking CASH advances on a credit card is USURY not the best way to go. It’s just not in your best INTEREST….I mean you may as well be putting your DONOR CARD in there because it’s just gonna end up costing you an arm and a leg! And you can BET the BANK on it!…But Mona, having just withdrawn $200 Tuesday…(yes, I’m embellishing…you know I INVEST a lot into these puzzles) obviously can’t foreGO whatever they’re planning…so she’s taking the plunge once again. DIVE no idea what can be so important…but as we see her getting ready to PRESS that button…to get that $100 CASH…and not WITHDRAW the decision? Well…it don’t make CENTS to me…but then again…I guess when you’re PRESSED FOR CASH… https://tinyurl.com/ykkr923p …and have to have it ATM…”At That Moment”…you Press For Cash!
So…There you have it Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…and I’ll leave you with a little ATM incident that occurred with a friend of mine. The other day he rattled me a little. He said he was worried about the state of his bank. Seems he tried five different ATMs and couldn’t understand why they all read “Insufficient Funds”….Only he was serious…Poor guy. I told him he really needs to PIN down a financial plan…He can’t keep FLOWing on like this…🏧🙋🏻♀️

🤦🏻♀️The saleswoman, WHOSE DRESS sales had taken a dive, didn’t APPEAR to be concerned, and offered no EXCUSE…until she found herself PRESSED FOR CASH…🤦🏻♀️
🙇🏻♂️The DRESS rehearsal did go well, in fact without a hitch,
It did APPEAR all systems go…so far there was no glitch…
They had a new director…and he stood for no EXCUSE,
A tight ship he was running…and he could be quite profuse…
“WHOSE script is this lying around”?…”Whose costume has a tear”?
On top of things he surely was…he made that really clear
He worried too ‘bout ticket sales…he prayed they’d be a smash…
Turns out he’s deep in debt right now…and really PRESSED FOR CASH! 🙇🏻♂️
🤦🏻♀️Mona definitely needs get a grip,
‘Cause her finances? Taking a dip…
Budget seems a new word,
But her spending? Absurd!
And she def needs those charge cards to snip!🤦🏻♀️
🏧ATM’s, yes they can do much good,
And we see them all over the hood…
But it can be too easy,
To withdraw…then we’re queasy…
When being broke is understood!🏧
🤷🏻♀️Mona says that her balance ain’t great,
Well it’s time that she faces her fate…
Either tighten her belt,
Or stay left without gelt..
And we know creditors just won’t wait! 🤷🏻♀️
💲It’s $100 tonight that she draws,
And whatever it is that’s the cause…
Hope it’s worth it long run,
‘Cause this web that she’s spun?
Well it’s obviously time for a pause!💲
🤷🏻♀️So no dining or shopping for now,
Until our girls can find a cash cow…
Put the cards out of sight,
And try hard as they might…
To budget…and make it a vow! 🤷🏻♀️
I did it ! I capped the week ! Was looking for the “ same -as-Monday “ jumble ! Well I got it ! If the jumbles on Tuesday , Wednesday , & Thursday were $ money $ , then I’d be PRESSED FOR CASH ! What a way to end the weekday ! Can’t wait to cap it off tomorrow ! Even the anagrams were all good ! Only one was a little trouble , but WHOSE watching ! I never heard your song Angela ! Appropriate though ! One song came to me 🎶 money , it’s a gas , grab that cash with both hands and make a stash 🎶Pink Floyd ! Everyone have a great end of the week day Friday !!!!!
Thanks for the fine definitions concerning the puzzle. Thought names might just be little puns. Always a pleasure seeing your posts…Have you considered the Great American Novel ?? If it’s out there, let us know !!
LOL! You’re welcome, Terry. And thank you! 🔠🙋🏻♀️
I will take a very small Honorable Mention in my thinking STRAPPED for CASH was the answer…Coulda, Woulda, Shoulda….but I wasn’t a contender this morning. But easy anagrams led me to the correct answer. Angela, how did you name the gals LOIS and MONA ?? Anyway, another good day in Jumbleland, awaiting Saturday morning. Have a great TGIF.
Terry…While Strapped for cash is an idiom, Pressed for cash is probably the more common phrase, and its definition does hit the nail on the head. But here, the giveaway was “Mona” pictured with her hand about to PRESS the button. As for the names? I was just punning with money/puzzle related women’s monikers. LOIS PRICE = Lowest Price. And Mona? MONA LOTT = Moan A Lot…She just struck me as the type who complains about her lack of funds…but doesn’t seem to do much to rectify it. I just tell a story, Terry…It’s all PUN and Games! 😉…And TBT, the first name that struck me was PENNY SAVER, but obviously that didn’t fit the BILL…pun intended! SAVE a good one..l mean have a good one! 🏧🙋🏻♀️
What about DEE POSIT ?
She’s withdrawing money, Jim…🏧🙋🏻♀️
Good morning. Yesterday it was easy breezy today it was easy as a morning sun. Like Terry I thought the cartoon answer was strapped for cash for the blind solve. Once I realized the first word didn’t fit I had to gather the letters together and saw the end result. Loved your explanation on choosing the names for the girls Angela. You always bring a smile. Take care and be safe out there.
Good Morning, Paul. Thank you…as do you. Be well and stay safe out there…🏧🙋🏻♀️
A quick solve of the anagrams followed by an obvious cash second word in the cartoon led to a quick conclusion to the Friday Jumble on a sunny Friday morning!
Seeing the ATM here caused me to think about something my elderly mother once said when we were standing together in front of one as I was helping her get cash. She said “go ahead, mash the button”. I said “Mother, we press buttons, you mash potatoes”. We looked at each and chuckled. Just another way that we talk differently here in South Georgia….have a great weekend!!
A good one!
👏🏻👏🏻! Gotta love Southern expressions, Alan! Wishing you a great weekend too! 🏧🙋🏻♀️
