  1. Good Morning, Everyone…I hope this finds you well…
    🐈‍⬛ SOMETHING’S DEFINITELY AHISS HERE! 🐈‍⬛

🎶 What’s NEW PUSSYCAT? WOE, WOE, WOE…What’s new pussycat? WOE, WOE, WOE, WOE… 🎶 (with a little poetic license)…”What’s New Pussycat” – Sir Tom Jones 1965 https://tinyurl.com/yeyuhssb

🐈‍⬛They got home after SUNSET…and their GIDDY mood did CEASE,
Their new cat did his UTMOST to disturb their household peace…
They found such rack and ruin…their faith in him def faded…
Appears he gave new meaning to the word “DOMESSTICATED”!🐈‍⬛

Domesticated. https://tinyurl.com/328×6886 TBT…I never liked the word. When applied to a man I find it derogatory…why should a man be looked upon any differently than a woman when it comes to the necessities of a household? I know plenty of men who are fantastic cooks and who know that a vacuum isn’t just a word related to space travel. When applied to a woman, I find it insulting. Don’t get me started…And when applied to a cat…as it is here today? Well…I think you know how I feel about cats….so I’m going to keep my opinions to myself…beCLAWS I don’t need the cat lovers coming after me. You have your PURRsuit of happiness…I’ll have mine.

So…Today, as IMO all days, our dialogue does so much more than just SCRATCH the surface..”wasn’t ready to be left alone”…”not used to being inside”…all pointing to the TAMING of the New…But obviously something definitely went aSTRAY here…I’m figuring our couple…CLAWdia and MEOWchael…rescued who I’ll call CATtitude, from the street somewhere…felt FUR his unFURtunate situation, and thought it wise to give him a change of CATmosphere…Humph…Are you KITTEN me? That’s HISSterical, IMO…I mean like what could PAWSibly go wrong? Well I’ll TAIL you what could go wrong…CATtitude wasn’t TAMED…he wasn’t domesticated…And as a result? Well..the rest is HISStory…He proved to be no FURiend…and in reality, a very FURmidable opponent…And left to his own deMICEs? CLAWdia and MEOWchael came home to a CATastrophe!…CATtitude, the overly SLOPPY (i e MESSy) and destructive CAT was…”doMESSticated”. And IMO, I think, in a PURRfect world, our solve would have read better as “DO-MESS-TI-CAT-ED”…I’m thrown off a little by the word itself, since CATtitude is anything but! He’s a wild man! …But, hey…this is David’s PET project…not mine. So I’ll apologize to him twice…First for my FELINEgs towards cats…I know how terribly fond he is of Simon and Gracie, and Secondly for MESSing around with the solve…I in no way mean to appear PURRtentous…

Jeff’s Gems? There’s a MESS of them in this SCREAM…I mean scene…First of all, there’s that simply apPAWling look on CATtitude’s face…Trust me, that ALONE would be enough to have me FLEAing the scene…The Venetian blinds are torn from the top down…and I like how Jeff shows the hand railing in the hallway through the exposed window. A vase has fallen from the console table, broken, and water is spilt on the floor. And CATtitude has managed to open its drawer in the proSISS…A roll of unfurled toilet tissue lies by our couple’s feet, and a pillow that reads: “Home Sweet Home” can’t be igGNAWED…it’s torn open, with its contents removed. SEAMS he had a RIP-roaring time with that one…And our Cat of the DOUR is seen clinging to the carpeting he’s managed to tear and roll up… So that ‘’guessing he wasn’t ready to be left alone”? Oh PAWlease! It’s totally apPAWling!

So…There you have it, Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…And I’m going to highTAIL it out of here….this whole thing seems to have gotten my DANDER up…🐈‍⬛🙋🏻‍♀️

    I STAND WITH UKRAINE 💔🇺🇦
…AND CONTINUED PRAYERS FOR TURKEY AND SYRIA 🙏🏻

    • Usually a word in the clue is not repeated in the final answer. The word cat was in the clue thus I threw out any answer that had cat in it as domesti cat ed, so I had no chance of solving. So from now on I will have to be a rule breaker. Not a major complaint and surprised no one else mentioned it!

      • I’m pretty sure no one else mentioned it because it’s not the same thing, Michael. The word DOMESTICATED may contain the letters CAT, but they have no bearing on the word itself. David’s play today was the MESS that the cat made…and the fact that he wasn’t DOMESTICATED. Granted, he may have pushed the envelope a bit, but it’s still doable. TBT? …IMO, it may not be the best solve, and I shook my head a little too as I pointed out in my post…but I wouldn’t say it broke any rules…but it definitely has generated a lot of buzz! Enjoy your day, Michael…and thanks for your comment. 🐈‍⬛🙋🏻‍♀️

  3. 🤷🏻‍♂️With SUNSET approaching, the camp counselor did his UTMOST to get his charges to CEASE being so GIDDY over the pair of DOMESTICATED cats…🤷🏻‍♂️

🙄They were a little GIDDY…it now got hard to CEASE,
They were doing their UTMOST best to try and keep the peace…
They had until the SUNSET…just one more hour was slated…
To straighten up and prove that they could act DOMESTICATED!🙄

  4. 🤷🏻‍♂️They went out to a dinner for two,
And came back to a home all a’strew…
    Everything was a mess,
And it caused them to stress…
‘Cause now they need to see what they’ll do…🤷🏻‍♀️

    🐈‍⬛They left CATtitude alone inside,
Never knowing it would turn the tide…
    He destroyed the whole place,
And that look on his face?
Gives new meaning to one wild-eyed! 🐈‍⬛

🚽 Toilet tissue can be seen out here,
Makes you wonder what Cat did in there…
    Are there bottles upturned?
    Will there be stomachs churned?
When they find liquids mixed with cat hair? 🚽

🤦🏻‍♀️Sad that CATtitude ruined their whole night,
They were happy…til faced with this blight…
    And their dinner so fine,
Topped off with a good wine?
    Now’s a memory scratched out of sight…🤦🏻‍♂️

🫵🏻So the lesson we learn here today,
Just think twice before getting a stray…
Some cats need to be out,
Where they’re free to just scout…
And it makes sense to leave it that way…🫵🏻

  5. Boy am I thirsty ! The heat of todays jumble made me really thirsty ! The anagrams came to me ok , but one word did not give me any sunshine ! It gave me SUNSET ! The jumble to me , was really out there ! And if the house where the cat was at , made the jumble , I can see how it got so sloppy ! I’m just totally confused ! This one was just not there for me to get ! I really tried , fried my brain ! Oh well , I’m sure there are some who get it , but I couldn’t ! But what made it tolerable was your song Angela ! That is a favorite song of mine by Sir Tom Jones ! So everyone have a great thirsty-Thursday !!!!!

  6. Oh those long puzzle words !!! On top of that, missed the quotation marks so didn’t compute any play on words. That said, speedily unscrambled the anagrams but had nowhere to go. Finally came up with DOMESTICATED…shared that with Marsha with a question mark?? And she added the MESS to the word, so it finally all made sense. I vividly remember seeing that movie when it came out and the silliness of it all, but somewhat enjoyable !!

  7. If it were a dog, this one would have been fairly easy, although with this many letters you needed help from a word website. But with a cat instead of a dog, the CAT part of the word becomes distracting. The best I could come up with were DOMESTICATTED (wrong letter – S instead of T), DOMESTICASTED (lost the CAT), and DOMESTICATSED (plural – but there was only one cat. All you need is one.) They made a MESS out of this one by distrCATing us from the MESS.

  8. Good morning. No problem with the words but bombed out on the cartoon answer. Too many letters for me. Since baseball is warming up I’d say you hit a home run Angela with Tom Jones for your song choice. Until tomorrow stay well and stay safe.

  9. “Domes-sticated” ? No way! Too many letters for me and quotes no less!
PS We have had cats in the past, Putter for one!

  10. Unscrambling the words took some effort today. For the answer. I found DOMESTICATED, with an S left over. I therefore put it on the end, not with the other S. Close. The quotes made it hard, of course.

  11. Catastrophic puzzle for me this morning. All I could come up with was “mess” but didn’t know what to do with the other letters. The dialogue was perfect but my brain just wasn’t computing this morning. We’re in the middle of a cold snap. It’s only 48 degrees here today so maybe I can claim brain freeze? Happy Thursday all!

  12. Both the Los Angeles Times and Orange County Register have “closet” as the third word. Curious why the puzzle would be different in some papers.

    • Mark…We addressed the difference in words in both our opening email and later on in the Anagram History. And I’ve spoken with David about it too. He has no idea how it could have happened, he submitted the puzzle with SUNSET as the third word. We’re all curious…🤷🏻‍♀️

      • Both SUNSET and CLOSET are sets. And the SET is all you need, whether it’s the set of all suns (i.e., stars) or the set of all clos (or maybe closets). The solution is the same regardless of what set you use. Sometime the Jumble people need to create a Jumble based on the game SET, a card game with 81 cards of three colors, three numbers, three shadings, and three shapes.
