Finding ourselves at a cocktail party for Numbers, it seems we have a disgruntled #6, most likely having been spurned by the lovely #3…after he was thinking of her as being his better HALF. Yes, one would think them compatible in a ROUND ABOUT way…but 3 seems impressed by what looks to be a man with a STRAIGHT head on his shoulders…where 6 always gave her the feeling of being DOUBLE trouble…ADD to the mix #4, trying her best to be OPEN minded about the situation, despite having felt that she and 5 might have LINED UP well…but is mature enough to appreciEIGHT that EVEN though she COULD COME BETWEEN them…she’s not looking for DIVISION…and must admit “they’re a good match”…And ROUNDING out the soirée, we have the letter A…having mistakenly wandered into the wrong party room…and is now red-faced, looking like a SCARLET LETTER…I tell you Folks…all this drama? Definitely the makings of a PRIME time special! And God knows we can do with LESS! …But the bottom line here today? The SOLVE to our NUMBERS game? It all ADDS up to 3 and 5, (our only two ODD NUMBERS) being AN ODD COUPLE! Well in reality it ADDS up to 8…but c’mon they just started dating…they’re still SINGLE DIGITS…let’s not get ahead of ourselves here…

Having no ideas for the answer, I tried coming up with the 2 and 3-letter words. That led me to “Up And” but no further. I decided to look for a six-letter word instead and found Couple.
