Good Morning, Everyone…I hope this finds you well…
🎶…LOVE IS LOVELIER…THE SECOND TIME AROUND…🎶
🎶 Well, you had me from “HELLO”…and I felt love start to grow the MOMENT that I looked into your eyes, you won me…It was over FROM THE START, you completely stole my heart…and now you won’t let go…I never even had a chance you know?…YOU HAD ME FROM “HELLO”🎶 “You Had Me From Hello” – Kenny Chesney 1999 https://tinyurl.com/4am3hbtn
1️⃣2️⃣❤️ An older couple meeting…seems they both did have a HUNCH,
That they might be compatible…and so made plans for lunch…
It wasn’t spur of MOMENT, they’d spoken long before,
A METHOD now so common…online chatting…Soup du jour
It has its plus and MINUS, but here it looks like soon…
There might be a connection…and it started at “HI” NOON! ❤️1️⃣2️⃣
I’m gonna go out on a limb here, and say that guaranteed both of these endearing characters were sitting out in the parking lot way before NOON time…The nervousness, the anticipation…the concern over how long it’d take to walk in there…Yeah…they definitely arrived early…You know, being on time… first impressions and all…
So…Today we’re privy to what I guess is becoming de rigueur..for lack of a better word. (And I say that more because Autocorrect is flagging rigueur out…despite the spelling being correct)…It seems that more and more older people are taking advantage of Social Media today and meeting online…Rolling with the punches, so to speak…as they’re rolling with the walkers and canes. And it’s obvious our couple, who I’m calling NOONan and WINSOME, is meeting face-to-face for the first time because of Winsome’s dialogue. “You’re even MORE handsome in person”. So as far as the solve goes, the two “HELLOs” = “HI” and our question giving us 12 PM, along with “the old clock on the wall”* giving us NOON, this puzzle today is a definite MEET and GREET…When they greeted one another it was “HI” NOON… https://tinyurl.com/2s3tfxmf …Check, please!
No hidden gems today, but boy, do I see potential with this puzzle…I’ve dubbed him NOONan, for the obvious reason…so then of course Winnie could have said, “HI, NOON”, and I’ve called her WINSOME, for two reasons…One because winsome is defined as “generally pleasing and engaging, often because of a childlike charm and innocence”…which she so appears to be. Telling a man he’s more handsome in person at first sight? Definitely lives up to the word…definitely old school…And two…I just have a feeling that she’s gonna WIN-SOME here today. I think these two may truly be a MATCH made in Heaven…But that’s a story for another day…
So…There you have it Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…And keep in mind…The rule of THUMB with most dating websites is to try not to HAND someone a line of bull…you’ll never find the WRITE person that way…1️⃣2️⃣❤️
* Bonus points if you can name the personality who used that phrase during his TV show…

👍🏻 He had a HUNCH that he’d seen the movie “HIGH NOON” a thousand times…well MINUS a few…but he loved it because of the METHOD the director used regarding the up-to-the-MOMENT Cold War controversy…👍🏻
🎲 The METHOD to his madness was to follow every HUNCH,
Sometimes there was a MINUS …but he did roll with a punch…
He lived by the mere MOMENT…sometimes like a buffoon…
The true life of a gambler…it’s a toss-up like HIGH NOON! 🎲
1️⃣2️⃣ Noon and Winnie have met for a date,
And they both made sure they weren’t late…
With hopes they will impress,
For today they’ll address…
If a future for them might be fate! 1️⃣2️⃣
👏🏻👏🏻 Note the greeter has such a big grin,
She seems very happy they came in…
‘Cause she probably can tell,
There’s a bit of love’s spell…
That seemingly just might begin! 👏🏻👏🏻
🗣️Met online and they chatted for weeks,
‘Twas companionship both out to seek…
So deciding to lunch,
They both went with that hunch…
Since their curiosity had been piqued!🗣️
👍🏻Winnie gushes just like a young girl,
Seems that Noon’s looks have her heart awhirl…
And he smiles in turn,
Face it…what man don’t yearn…
For a compliment that might unfurl? 👍🏻
❤️ Bottom line, it’s good they got to meet,
And the smiles we see as they greet?
Well it does one’s soul good,
For we all hope we could…
Have that moment our hearts skip a beat! ❤️
Well HI Monday ! Start of a new jumble week that was the best of the MOMENT ! Excellent anagrams without a MINUS in any word ! I had a HUNCH it was gonna be a good one ! My normal METHOD got them all ! The jumble couldn’t have been a better greeting than HI NOON ! Six letters and meeting at twelve o’clock, you have to say HI NOON ! Great start of a new jumble week ! Can’t wait ! Everyone have a great start of the week Monday !!!!
With that big clock staring at us, I thought certainly that Gary Cooper would make an appearance in today’s puzzle. At least it helped with my blind solve this morning. Reading your post, Angela, thought, too…that the very melodic VanHeusen/Cahn ballad, SECOND TIME AROUND was also going to make the scene. Enjoyed your musings so much today and read all with delight. No anagram stumps today so an excellent start to the week.
Look at that…I touched upon both “The Second Time Around” in my title, and “High Noon” in the second post…Are we starting to think alike? I’d hate to be responsible! 😂😂Tk you, Terry..I’m glad you enjoyed it all…Have a good one…1️⃣2️⃣❤️🙋🏻♀️
Good morning. TGIM. Thank goodness it’s Monday. No problem with either the words or cartoon answer. No blind solve because after a quick glance and nothing hit me I went right to the letters. Until tomorrow stay well and stay safe.
He had a Hunch the Moment he saw the test that with his new learned Method plus or Minus a few minutes, he would finish the test before Hi Noon. Take care.
Couldn’t have been any easier w s quick solve of the anagrams , a few letters for the cartoon and a quick blind obvious solve of the cartoon. Congrats to the Eagles and Chiefs for their wins yesterday! On to the Super Bowl!
Easy one today.
I had a HUNCH the MOMENT that I heard his MINUS METHOD that he wouldn’t solve the problem.
Sometimes first guesses for the jumbles are entertaining. For METHOD, I first saw ‘mothed’. Presumably this is when moths eat holes in your clothes. To prevent it, you need to ‘demoth’. I’m not sure of the METHOD, though.
Pretty easy puzzle this morning. I too thought of Gary Cooper and Grace Kelly and the theme from their “High Noon”.
Hello Angela. I really enjoyed all of your clever narrative today – excellent stuff! So…did anyone guess the television personality that used the phrase “old clock on the wall?” I was thinking Dean Martin, but maybe because that is a song by Mr. Martin.
Agree Dean Martin.
👍🏻🙋🏻♀️
Hi Tom. Thank you …you’re too kind. It’s much appreciated…And yes, Dean Martin! He’s the one! Thank you…it means a lot to know that someone’s reading my stuff! 😉 And you’re right about the song too. Be well, Tom…and have a good night… 🙋🏻♀️ https://tinyurl.com/ycyfafju
You are very welcomed, Angela, and thanks so much for the link to the Dean Martin song! Blessings to you, my friend!
YVW, Tom. Enjoy your night, and blessings to you and yours! 🙋🏻♀️
