  1. Good Morning, Everyone…🪁 ON A STRING…AND A PRAYER! 🪁

🎶 Oh-oh-oh…Let’s go FLY A KITE up to the highest height…Let’s go fly a kite…And send it soaring…🎶 “Let’s Go Fly a Kite” – From the soundtrack of “Mary Poppins” 1964 https://tinyurl.com/bde6z7pb

🪁In China, a long time ago, the Kite did first appear,
And now ICONIC comes to mind, after so many years…
The WIDTH of some amazing, astonishing the breadth,
There is one of a CACTUS, that would easily catch your breath…
A great invention, sans the FRAUD…and Kites became a hit…
No fly-by-night once the people were to CATCH WIND OF IT! 🪁

Kites https://tinyurl.com/4sfn2s2c have always been a great pastime, and a great way to get together with friends and have some fun. It might have its UPS and DOWNS, but all-in-all, it’s a great way to shoot the BREEZE…

So…China, circa 5th Century BC, near the shade of a Beijing tree. And we see a gentleman scoring HIGH points with his LOFTY idea of flying a Kite to impress two women. And as we can see by the moving lines depicting airflow surrounding the Kite…it’s WIND that‘s keeping it aloft…Pair that with the dialogue….”Everyone’s TALKING about them”, and our question alluding to the idea of it taking WING as it CAUGHT on?… It didn’t take us…or the people…long to….CATCH WIND OF IT. https://tinyurl.com/2nv4ftz7 And I love a good idiom in the morning!

So…There you have it Folks…Done! Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…and I’ll leave you with a little Kite humor… Three kite strings decide to have a beer and are standing in front of a bar. Only without any ID, they’re feeling a little UP IN THE AIR about it…But the first kite string says: “I’m taking a chance, I’m going in”. He enters, and the bartender says: “We don’t serve kite strings in here”…So he walks out. The second kite string goes in, getting the same results… “Get out! We don’t serve kite strings in here!” The third kite string takes off his hat, places his hand on top of his head, and rubs his hair around, tangling it. Then, putting his hat back onto his head, enters the bar confidently. The bartender looks at him suspiciously and asks: “Aren’t you a kite string?” The kite string takes off his hat and says: “Why no, Sir…I’m a frayed knot.” 🎤🪁🙋🏻‍♀️

  2. 🤦🏻‍♂️Convinced that the owner of the ICONIC CACTUS farm was a FRAUD, the Senator’s statement, “I pledge that I will go to a great WIDTH to follow any lead once I CATCH WIND OF IT” drew laughter….🤦🏻‍♂️

🌵The claim that they did perfect work was def proven a FRAUD,
The word ICONIC in their ads? It couldn’t be more flawed…
The poster for the CACTUS plants…”Stick WIDTH us”…was the pits…
The word was “With, how could they not simply CATCH WIND OF IT? 🌵

  3. It’s hump-day Wednesday ! Todays jumble was so fun and entertaining ! Suzie and I had fun with the anagrams because I had one word’s picture in my head , but I couldn’t think of it’s name ! So I drew a picture of a CACTUS and she said it ! I said wow , how can I draw it and not know it ! The jumble was also very fun ! We got CATCH and WILD and FOIT was left and we both said CATCH WIND OF IT ! Very fun ! The song that came right to me is the same as yours Angela ! Let’s go fly a kite ! Perfect fit ! Everyone have a great Wednesday hump-day !!!!!!!

  4. Just a wee bit too cryptic for a blind solve, though OF IT was pretty much a known quantity. I tackled the anagrams with gusto and found the puzzle easily solved with letters in front of me. Great song and so very appropriate for a blustery fall morning. Another tuneful movie score from the Sherman brothers at Disney. Kites from China?? I always thought they were invented by the Wright brothers while they were working on their new airplane at Kittyhawk !!! LOL

    • LOL! Surprising the knowledge one can acquire here, huh? And I agree…1) OF IT was a given, and 2) some amazing music came to us through the wonder of Disney. Have a good one, Terry! 🪁🙋🏻‍♀️

  5. 🪁With a kite it’s a wing and a prayer,
That you can keep it up in the air…
You need wind that’s just right,
For your kite to take flight…
And to get it to fly there from here! 🪁

💨 Saying “Go fly a kite” may sound terse,
But in this case it’s part of the verse…
    Flying kites can be fun,
    With soft breezes and sun…
    And there’s nothing involved that’s adverse! 💨

🪁Fling it up and hope you catch a breeze,
So that your kite will lift up with ease…
And hold tight to your string,
    Guiding it on air’s wing…
All the while thanking the Chinese! 🪁

💨 Some say March is the best month to fly,
Take your kite outside when the day’s dry…
And March winds will do right,
    Granting a perfect flight…
As you watch your kite sailing on high! 💨

🤷🏻‍♀️ Wonder if these gals gave it a try,
Took him up on his offer to fly…
A kite as he has done,
    Getting in on the fun…
And then next be the people to buy! 🤷🏻‍♀️

  6. Good morning. With much difficulty I was able to solve both parts of jumble and was filled with great joy and accomplishment. I refused to succumb to the easy way out and look up the final answer for this one. Cactus as well as the cartoon answer took the longest to get. Loved you song video Angela. My father use to make all our kites. We would get brown paper from our butcher and he would cut the wood strips. Until tomorrow stay well and stay safe.

    • Good Morning, Paul. Tk you, glad you enjoyed it. And kudos for sticking with it! 👏🏻👏🏻..I remember my Father making kites too. Personalized…We were the envy of Avenue U! 😂 Have a good one. Be well and stay safe out there…🪁🙋🏻‍♀️

  7. The WIDTH of the FRAUD today in the Jumble is ICONIC. No CACTUS! Wait until the Jumblers CATCH WIND OF IT!

    Easy today.

  8. Speaking of kites, our daughter,Kara, now a medical Dr,won a kite flying competition as a child.Good day for the Jumble but not for my “Indians” yesterday.

  9. Puzzle was a breeze today. Great song choice as always, Angela. In our neighborhood, one Saturday in March we have “Ben Franklin Kite Day”. Folks bring their kites to a park down by the water and let ‘em Fly!!
