Very great jumble to hit a Friday ! The first thing I thought of when I read the names of Daryl and John was HAUL’N OATS ! And that did it ! What a fun and clever jumble for a Friday ! Now the anagrams were LOUSY ! I couldn’t get two of them ! And those two were ABATE and HECTIC ! They were UNSEEN in my brain ! But I loved the jumble ! One of my favorites , “ you make my dreams come true “ ! Everyone have a great Friday !!!!
It seems strange that I’m familiar with the duo’s big hits but never learned their names. I had to turn to Google for help on this one. Hectic also took some effort. I too appreciated the “wit and whimsy” of today’s puzzle and your posts, Angela. Wishing all an enjoyable weekend.

No clue for me……but Marsha came to the rescue with the duo’s name and blind solve. Both six letter anagrams we’re tough…and could solve only by backing them in. A humbling day, for sure !!!

This was tough. HECTIC took a while to find. For the answer, I knew of Hall and Oates, but did not remember their first names. It therefore took a while to find HAUL. With the letters left, I saw OATSIN, which jiggled the little gray cells and I got the answer. Toughest one in a while.
