When speaking of Jeff Knurek’s work…he is one of a kind…
And these Cartoonists that we see I guess that we need PARDON,
The shocked expressions they all hold…with mouths agape and hardened…
The three have let their GUARD down…we see there is no stopping…
The stunned reactions they emit…the sketch? It’s def “DRAW” DROPPING!🖌
I love these solves that conjure up more than one angle…The “sketch”…a DRAWing…The auction…money DROPPING…The obvious shock at the highest bid…it definitely DRAWS a JAW DROPPING response from the crowd…And the quotation marks telling us there’d be a pun…“DRAW” DROPPING! PRICEless!…I definitely have a PENchant for these sort of puzzles…But today’s puzzle brings us so much more…
So…With yesterday and today marking the 76th Annual National Cartoonists Society’s Reuben Awards Weekend https://tinyurl.com/bdp67hmw , where among other things they’ll be celebrating the 100th Birthday of “Peanuts” creator Charles Schulz, Jeff has once again paid homage to his fellow artists by giving us a cartoon, IMO, worth a million dollars! This year‘s cartoon theme? The two men spoke…and praise WORTHY…she thought much to their credit,
There weren’t any harsh words…at the end he said…”Forget it”…

Good morning Friday and a stop to all the easy jumbles the past four days ! Wow ! The anagrams were there and smooth but the jumble had me working ! I had the words like Down , Word , Wagon and I I took out the ING , but still couldn’t get it ! Everything that Angela said was so true but it just didn’t come to me ! So not wanting to at all , I had to look it up , and it made my jaw drop ! Pretty tough one to end a stream of smooth ones ! It really had me going , But i just didn’t see it ! Everyone have a great Friday
This puzzle made my jaw drop, too. No blind solve, took out the ING and had to figure out a word with double letters to fit with the ING. Then it sort of came to me, the play on words, so it seems. Can’t believe that Charlie Brown song is so old. Have a great TGIF !!

I was in good company this morning with the number of people stumped by the cartoon this morning! May we all have better luck tomorrow.
The words today were easy, but the answer took some time. I was looking for synonyms for high or top, but eventually saw DRAW. With the letters left, I found DROPPING. Loved the answer, as it wasn’t even close to my first guesses, and quite clever.
I haven’t heard the Charlie Brown song in many years. Fun. Good choice! Angela.

Really good workout for the brain this morning. Had to resort to paper and pencil, separated out the double letters and “ing” then figured out “draw” for the pun and the rest fell into place. Love these challenges. Have a good day all!

This is destiny’s fate…
That the sketch needs to come home with me”! 🖌

‘Cause no way did he ever surmise…
That top draw would he fetch,
For his comic strip sketch…
And his pleasure he just can’t disguise! 👍🏻
