🎶 AFTER ALL THESE YEARS you stood by me the days and nights that I was gone…After all these years you sacrificed, believed in me, and you STOOD STRONG 🎶 “After All These Years” – Journey 2008 https://tinyurl.com/2p8f8cna
⛪️ It’s as rare as a hen’s TOOTH, SWEPT so high in the sky,
And can cause quite a RIPPLE to all those who may pass by…
One makes out like a BANDIT, no disappointment there,
When one visits the site and looks up at it and just stares…
Lo all these many years it’s been part of England’s landscape…
And it’s a spire that’s managed still to be IN TIP-TOP SHAPE! ⛪️
So…Salisbury Cathedral’ and it’s Spire…and you can read all about it here…. https://tinyurl.com/yc37uwaw …And I’ll cut right to the chase…Today we see who appears to be Ted Lasso, https://tinyurl.com/2ehdfbzv and his buddy, Coach Beard https://tinyurl.com/bdea99ps doing the tourist thing…gazing UP in wonderment at the TOP of the 404-foot spire being cleaned. You’ll need to look real closely to see the two maintenance men suspended by wiring from the TIP-TOP of the spire…And between that, plus the words “clean that” in the dialogue, and “still” in our question, this solve just SHOT RIGHT UP for me. Another TIME HONORED idiom…The spire was still IN TIP-TOP SHAPE. … https://tinyurl.com/ytkmz5ss …And if you look closely, you can see the spire’s image on Ted’s phone…as the punster that he is references a “HIGHER calling”! Kudos, Jeff! …But just in case you’re not familiar with the hit Apple TV+ show… https://tinyurl.com/2yyzervb you should check it out. I’m sure you’ll get a KICK out of it…

ANAGRAM HISTORY…🔠🙋🏻♀️
WPEST: Used on – 02/13/17, 11/16/16
OTHTO – PRLIEP – DAINTB: New
🤷🏻♂️ After they had gotten the office IN TIP-TOP SHAPE, a BANDIT SWEPT through and caused quite a RIPPLE when having tripped and broken a TOOTH had the audacity to try and sue…🤷🏻♂️
🦷 The child took the TOOTH he lost…placed it beneath his pillow,
He went to sleep as the wind SWEPT through the yard’s tallest willow…
The RIPPLE of each moving branch as if a BANDIT crept,
Against his window, casting beams as the small child slept…
His Mother left some money and a small note that she taped…
Onto the bedpost that read…”Hope you’re still IN TIP-TOP SHAPE”! 🦷
The anagrams were easy, solution slightly harder.
Fun puzzle like most of Dave and Jeff’s
Puzzles..
Let’s Jumble again tomorrow
Good morning Saturday weekend ! Boy , the anagrams were great , although I had a brain hiccup that SWEPT through me to miss that easy one ! But the rest were good ! Now the jumble got me , but I looked up the Salisbury Cathedral and saw how beautiful it was , but I couldn’t get the descriptive saying IN TIP TOP SHAPE , but I’m in the starting blocks for a new jumble week that I’m gonna really concentrate on . Till tomorrow have a great weekend !!!
So in other words you’ll aSPIRE to do better next week? 😉🙋🏻♀️
That was inSPIREing !
😂🙋🏻♀️
A pretty normal Saturday morning Jumble outing…took a quick look at the puzzle cartoon, then moved on with anagrams. Those out of the way, first word to come my way was POINT, which was wrong. Then happened upon TIP-TOP for the solve. It was a blind solve for Marsha. Stationed in England back in the 70’s and visited Ely Cathedral a few times. Somehow missed Salisbury Cathedral…must look up location. Could have at least gone for Salisbury Steak !! Until tomorrow.
LOL! I was thinking the same thing, Terry! Salisbury Steak! 🥩 Doesn’t take much for me to segue to food! 😂 …And Kudos to Marsha! ⛪️🙋🏻♀️
Bandit was a struggle. I had to get the answer first and back in. Thanks, Angela, for the very interesting link on the cathedral. Wishing all a fun weekend.
Good to see you, Caroline…and you’re very welcome. I’m glad you enjoyed it….And wishing you the same…⛪️🙋🏻♀️
📱See the tourists…they’re craning their necks,
Got a picture on iPhone high tech…
And their thoughts of the sight?
Not with all of their might…
To them it’s akin to a train wreck! 📱
🙇🏻♂️With this Spire that’s been there for years,
These two men have a view very clear…
And while marvel they may,
There’s no way enough pay…
That they’d any job like this adhere!🙇🏻♂️
🤷🏻♀️Is it Ted and Coach Beard that we see?
Hopefully Jeff sees way to tell me…
That I’ve pinned down the two,
And his whimsy saw through…
Characters from great Apple TV!🤷🏻♀️
😱 Salisbury Cathedral what we see today,
And our characters love the display…
Went there just for the sight,
But Beard’s feeling the fright…
As he sees those men at tip-top sway!😱
😂 But with Ted, it’s a whole different take,
Being Ted…it’s a joke that he makes…
The man can make one laugh,
Even when it’s a gaffe…
You know Ted..he’s quite often a flake! 😂
Salisbury steak,not my favorite.
Happy Belated Birthday, Chuck. Hope you had 🎂 cake. 🎉
I did my favorite, angel food cake.
Yes, the cathedral has an awe-inspiring spire
And the gazing tourists never do tire
But the job of cleaning
Takes on new meaning
When you’re asked to go higher and higher!

I’m with Chuck. No fan of Salisbury steak. Was not familiar with Salisbury Cathedral either and have heard of but never seen Ted Lasso (I must be living under a rock) so thanks for the information, Angela. That being said, I did get the anagram and cartoon answer so all was not lost. Have a good day all!
YVW, Betty. But with STEAK being the “inoperative” word here, there’s so much that can be done with well-seasoned beef. 😂 I should look up how it got that name in the first place though…I’ve never given it much thought. But as for living under a rock…you’re too funny. I doubt that about you very much. Thing is, with Ted Lasso airing on Apple TV+, not network TV, a lot of people aren’t familiar with it..so you’re hardly alone. And it’s just my guess that it’s him in today’s cartoon. I’d have to check with Jeff…but it sure reminded me of him. Wishing you a good one too, Betty. Enjoy! 🥩🙋🏻♀️
Ah yes, I do love google. Thanks for the info about Salisbury Steak. I actually don’t eat a lot of meat but if I do I like a good old fashioned cheeseburger or a filet – guess it’s the brown gravy that puts me off. With all the offerings on TV today, I just can’t keep up. One could spend the rest of one’s live watching the Tube.
YW. And cheeseburger, check. filet, check. But even after all these years, it wouldn’t be a Sunday for me without my meatballs, sausages and braciole. You know what a traditionalist I am! 😂 But I do enjoy brown gravy…that’s where the creative seasoning comes in! …And as for TV? You’re so right. It’s whole new world out there…🙋🏻♀️
