    ⚾️ A catchers mitt, a fielding glove, when new they need a FURROW,
    One forms a well and oils the glove in order to be thorough…
    There is a certain SNACK to it…oh sorry I meant knack,
    And no two gloves will really MATCH…but players they keep track
    (And here today FONDUE strikes out, no way can it embark…
    Upon this theme of baseball gloves…and their OFFHAND REMARKS)! ⚾️

    So…The locker room…and two baseball gloves having obviously STRUCK OUT. And now that they’re OFF their players’ HANDS, they’re both being critical of one another…and passing REMARKS. Seems like that hard line drive that was hit should have been caught, and the catchers mitt is calling the glove OUT on it…while along the same LINE, the baseball player follows SUIT by trying to explain to the reporter. The glove though? He CATCHES the dig, and just tries to EVEN THE SCORE by BRUSH BACKing the comment and OFFHANDEDLY trying to blame the mitt for not trying to stop that fastball in the first place. Kind of inane…but? And what does it all boil down to?   3. 🙇🏻‍♂️ With a FURROW in his brow, as he read over his wife’s list of FONDUE ingredients…but not one SNACK…he made some OFFHAND REMARKS to MATCH his displeasure…🙇🏻‍♂️

    🤷🏻‍♀️She’d need to form a FURROW to MATCH the one before,
    So she could serve zucchini boats as the hors d’oeuvres du jour…
    Of course there’d be some FONDUE, it’s what the kids liked best,
    And for a SNACK her fruit kabobs would be put to the test…
    She planned it out and was surprised when she received some snark…
    And wasn’t pleased to overhear a few OFFHAND REMARKS! 🤷🏻‍♀️

    Monday morn’s quarterbacking report?
    Fingers pointed we see,
    And amongst baseball’s three?
    Bottom line they all have a retort! 🗣

    🤷🏻‍♂️Was the catcher the culprit today?
    Was it his fault the ball got in play?
    Seems the only one here,
    Who remains in the clear…
    Is the batter who had a field day! 🤷🏻‍♂️

    🙇🏻‍♂️Speak of field day…the player who missed,
    When his glove offered up a real dis…
    He def bobbled the play,
    When the ball wouldn’t stay…
    In his glove…and that out? Goodbye kissed! 🙇🏻‍♂️

    ⚾️So the mitt says the glove “dropped the ball”,
    And in his mind he should take the fall…
    And he does have it right,
    But reason for a fight?
    Let it go…glove just made a bad call…⚾️

    🙇🏻‍♂️There’s no crying in baseball they say,
    But sometimes it just isn’t the way…
    With these offhand remarks,
    Being made with the snarks…
    Crying might be today on display…🙇🏻‍♂️

  5. Very clever jumble ! I got HAND , MAKES , FOR , but just couldn’t Catch it ! So I found OFF and that left RR’s ! I really had fun with this one ! Good quote from “Cool Hand Luke “ the anagrams were there for me and FURROW was the hardest , but I got it ! Well there you have it , all of my OFF HAND REMARKS ! Everyone have a great Friday end of the week !!

  9. Really clever puzzle this morning. I figured “hand” would be in the cartoon answer, the double “f” led me to off and “remarks” followed nicely. Not an easy one today. Have a good day all!

  10. Fondue gave me reason to pause,but then solving that anagram,too many letters for me to solve the cartoon.Guess the extra year of age I picked up yesterday has hindered my ability to solve the puzzle cartoons.
