    🤦🏻‍♀️WHEN CLOTHES MAKE THE (WOE)MAN! 🤦🏻‍♀️

    🤦🏻‍♀️Came time to WEIGH his options, Jeff figured what the heck,
    He chose a shirt with buttons, and a collar at the neck…
    In his mind the CENSUS was “It’s not my usual Tee,
    So I figure I’m looking good…I’m sure Kath will agree”…
    But Kathy took one look at him, standing there as he preened,
    And knew he’d chosen POORLY…even though he changed from jeans…
    And as she would a CHILD, she couldn’t help but voice,
    “Need I lay out your clothes for you? ‘Cause this is a poor choice”…
    And “choice” the key “word” (that’s no pun)…His outfit? For the birds…
    So dinner has to wait for now…she’s serving up CHOICE WORDS! 🤦🏻‍♀️

    So…Again today, another solve that speaks for itself…One might say, “It’s so easy, there are no WORDS”….But…today, aLASS, Kathy does have a few…For those of us diehard Jumble fans, our characters today are easily recognizable. They’re the ILLUSTRATED, I mean illustrious Jeff Knurek, and his lovely, albeit oft-times long suffering LASS of a bride, Kathy. And what we’re seeing is most likely a common occurrence…not just with them, but with many a couple. Going to dinner…and MEN, U just don’t get it sometimes. Here’s Kathy, dressed to the nines…halter cocktail dress and heels…and there’s Jeff…khaki cargo pants, a palm-tree patterned shirt that he’s had since the last time he visited his parents and sandals. I mean he looks fine..but not for the fine dining Kathy has in mind. Bottom line? Her exasperated dialogue (which I mentioned above in my rhyme), and that look of schlock…I mean shock on her face says it all…His CHOICE of clothing? Uh… Not tonight…Hence, her…CHOICE WORDS. https://tinyurl.com/5n7vcct6 And here again today…David’s adDRESSed another relevant TOPic!

    The Gems? So what Jeff may lack in sartorial splendor, we can all agree he more than makes up for in his graphic designs…not to mention his fantastic sense of whimsy.* Because if you look at the Knurek dogs, you can see Gizmo, a male mind you, echoing Kathy’s reaction…with his mouth agape and a look of total disapproval on his face…unless he’s just PANTing…Either way, it has to generate a laugh…while Fifi, lying atop the couch, just seems to want to SHIRT, I mean shirk the whole thing…And there’s a framed picture of a couple on the table, but I’m not sure who they are, or how they fit into the Knurek OUTFIT…But the clincher? Take a real close look at Jeff’s shirt…the water surrounding the palm trees? Tiny little sinking sailboats! A perfect FIT!

    So…There you have it Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…And men, keep in mind…If you’re going out to dinner and you tell your mate that you think you’ll get an early start on dressing, and she CASUALly answers, “SUIT YOURSELF”? Maybe you shouldn’t take it literally… It could very well lead to a lot of HANGAR management….🙋🏻‍♀️

  4. 🤦🏻‍♂️Despite studying about how the CENSUS counts every man, woman and CHILD in the nation, he did POORLY on the exam…and knew his parents would WEIGH in with some CHOICE WORDS…🤦🏻‍♂️

    🥊The boxer faced the WEIGH-in, worried POORLY he might do,
    He felt just like a CHILD when the results did come through…
    His Manager said CENSUS was that he was slacking off,
    But he knew that he tried his best, so at that he did scoff
    Resentment started creeping in…he felt it was absurd…
    That he was subject to his Manager’s way harsh CHOICE WORDS…🥊

    Wanting all things to go hand in glove…
    Most men…all in stride,
    Can hardly abide…
    Comes to fashion it’s more of “sort of”…🤷🏻‍♂️

    🍻 Kathy’s waiting for Jeff to appear,
    Maybe she failed to make it quite clear?
    That they’re dining in style,
    And perceives this as guile…
    And tells Jeff…”We’re not going for beers”! 🍻

    👗 Kathy dressed up and looks like a queen,
    Jeff’s so casual he def need not preen…
    She’s not happy tonight,
    As she takes in the sight…
    Of what “dressing up” Jeff thinks she means…👗

    👠Wearing heels and a beautiful dress,
    Right now Kathy’s feeling the duress…
    Jefff in sandals is shod,
    Would it have been so hard…
    To put shoes on and not give her stress? 👠

    🤷🏻‍♂️Most men mean well and really do try,
    To dress so that they see eye to eye…
    When their mate wants “refine”
    As they go out to dine…
    And not don anything on the fly…🤷🏻‍♂️

  6. Good morning Wednesday hump-day ! Well , this one was all figured out and solved with no excuses ! The only word that made me put my spelling hat on was CENSUS , I spelled it in question so I switched some letters around and got it ! I felt like a CHILD ! But I had fun with the whole jumble and I figured it out not POORLY , but very nice ! Then after all the words that I had to WEIGH , I got the jumble without even looking at the cartoon ! It just felt she was using CHOICE WORDS after she saw what he chose to wear ! Very nice one for midweek Wednesday hump-day ! Everyone have a great Wednesday !!!!

  8. Good morning. Being an early riser didn’t slow me down this morning. I was able to get both parts of jumble without much trouble. Census was the only one that I had to put my thinking cap on. Loved your country song choice Angela. Another first for me. Until tomorrow stay well and stay safe.

  9. CHOICE WORDS popped out right away…..then as I started on the anagrams, solving those went smoothly until CENSUS. Even with the blind solve and knowing which letters were needed, I struggled for a few minutes on how that word played out. Angela, thanks for pointing out all the intricate details of the puzzle !!

  11. An easy ‘Tuesday’ level puzzle on a Wednesday that feels like a Tuesday because of the Monday 4th of July holiday. Speaking of the 4th, my thoughts and prayers go out to the victims of the Highland Park parade shooting. I’ve actually attended a holiday parade up there years ago.
