Our ISSUE here today we see… a chapter nothing new,
A Mom who’s so exhausted after working all day through…
Her daughter sits upon the FLOOR, no HAGGLE from her mate,
Down for the count is what she is…and it’s barely turned eight…
The bottom line what we see here…no argument…No, no Sir
The couch tonight is definitely Mom’s own “SLEEP-HER” SOFA! 🛋
Been there, done that…And let’s be honest..that sleep usually feels DIVAN…
Not much to add here, the puzzle pretty much SLEEPS, I mean speaks for itself…SOFA…a given for the four letter word…and with the dialogue giving us the heads up that the husband will have the bed to himself, and the daughter having no chance of getting on the couch, it’s obvious our SLEEPing girl has it all to HERself…Add to that the quotation marks…and a Sleeper Sofa turned into a “SLEEP-HER” SOFA! …And today’s solve? SOFA, so good…
So…There you have it Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…And this puzzle made me think about the couch I went shopping for recently. As I was considering a certain model, the salesman said…”Good choice. This sofa will seat five people without any problems”…And all I could think of was…Is he kidding? In today’s world? … Where would I find five people without any problems? 🛋🤷🏻♀️

🛋The assignment was to write a piece that dealt with one’s repose,
The choice open, it could be done in POETRY or prose…
No reason there to HAGGLE, the ISSSUE was quite clear,
New furniture the subject…no FLOOR models dealt with here
The guidelines clearly given, and safety approved by OSHA…
Excitement built regarding the latest SLEEPER SOFA… 🛋
📺 Mom’s exhausted…and fell out to sleep,
And it’s looking like it’s one real deep…
She thought she’d watch TV,
From the looks though we se..,
That for now any TV will keep! 📺
🔠 Wheel of Fortune the name of the game,
But Mom missed it…and it’s quite a shame…
‘Cause by quarter to eight…
Mom fell victim to fate…
On the couch she put in quite a claim! 🔠
💤 There’s no waking our girl up tonight,
And her husband knew it from first sight…
Seems it’s happened before,
And he knows by the snore…
That this sleep of his wife isn’t light!💤

Even though we don’t think,
Into deep sleep we’ll sink…
Turns out wrong is the way we had guessed! 🛋

Welcome back fun in the sun jumbles ! So deserving of a taco-Tuesday ! I didn’t HAGGLE at all and I didn’t have an ISSUE with any of the anagrams or jumble ! It was like POETRY and nothing threw me on the FLOOR ! As soon as I saw all the E’s and S’s SLEEPER came out , then the H was a cool play on words with SLEEP HER SOFA ! Good song ! Just missed a complete blind solve because I didn’t have my thinking hat on straight !!! Looked at puzzle cartoon, saw the SOFA….Thought probably SLEEP was hanging around somewhere…and blurted out SLEEP-FUL SOFA…which was just short of the mark. Then solved the anagrams and slapped myself on the forehead !! Nice song, Angela.

It was like “POETRY” in motion with the sisters dealing with the “ISSUE” of where to sleep at Grandma’s house who said, “girls, you don’t need to “HAGGLE”, one of you can sleep on the “FLOOR”, or on the “SLEEP HER SOFA” – what a fun puzzle and Angela, I love Ella’s song you chose – it all was a perfect jumble after the 4th holiday – until tomorrow everyone have a sunny day ! !
