But being a trivia buff, I had a HEADS-up with this one, since I SPENT time one night losing a game because of this very thing. The Early Birds though?…Only a QUARTER of them were aware of the 20¢ coin, so it helped. .The others? They practically FLIPPED out trying to make CENTS of it…
And while no one SPENT any time deciphering the anaGRAMS, we COUNTED how long it took most of the EB’s to get the solve. And even with the letters written out, some of them came up SHORT. But the bottom line? The 20¢ coin, despite its smooth edge, was just too similar in size and shape to the Quarter…and with the image on both featuring “Seated Liberty” on a rock, it was just too confusing to the public…unfortunately rendering it a SHORT-lived existence…So it couldn’t help feeling…SHORT-CHANGED!

🙇🏻♂️He knew he’d be SHORT-CHANGED when he saw HIKER after hiker returning to the entrance of the INDOOR pavilion…and realized that as the SCOUT assigned to the outing, he’d be TAUGHT a lesson in the consequences of weather…🙇🏻♂️
🥾 As a SCOUT he was a HIKER, and he had been TAUGHT well,
He enjoyed walking the different trails, and not just INDOOR dwell…
The camaraderie welcomed…with different thoughts exchanged,
And he knew within the Scouts he would never be SHORT-CHANGED! 🥾

This Jumble also has the solution GHOST-RANCHED. The only place where you find 20-cent coins now is on ghost ranches, which like ghost towns have been abandoned (and of course at coin dealer places).
Never Short-Changed when there’s time for the Jumble. I was Taught to use my Indoor voice at school but as a Scout and Hiker, we could yell. Hot on the Great Plains today but a cool weekend ahead. One of my all-time favorite Elvis tunes, Angela! Today is my Friday so let the party begin!

I was tricked into going down a wrong rabbit hole today…and therefore, failed at solving the cartoon puzzle. I just knew that first five letter word was going to be “CENTS”, but that was not to be. Good morning. I didn’t get short changed today. I was able to get both parts of jumble with very little trouble. It was almost a blind solve.
