Good Morning, Everyone…I hope this finds you well…
🚴🏻♀️THEY SPOKE THE SAME LANGUAGE! 🚴🏻♀️
🎶 On the ROAD again….Just can’t wait to get on the road again…The life I love is making music with my FRIENDS… And I can’t wait to get on the road again…🎶 “On The Road Again” – Willie Nelson 1980 https://tinyurl.com/yc2r6eyw
🚴🏻♀️ The age-old phrase that we all know…it goes “What’s in a name”,
And it’s PRONE to go deeper when two names are both the same..
We’re saying HOWDY to Kathy, and same to Cathy too.
We recognize the first one…the other’s looking new…
We’ve seen the lovely Kathy when before she OUTRAN others,
I wonder what she likes best…since of course she has her druthers…
She runs, she bikes, she’s very fit…she leaves no task UNDONE,
She’s even good at tennis…she enjoys the outdoor fun…
And today we see her featured…riding on the friendship code…
Together with her good friend…as they both RODE ON THE ROAD! 🚴🏻♀️
All new anagrams, two days in a row? If we go for the hat trick tomorrow…it might just be a first! And their degree of difficulty? Nothin’ to RIDE home about! The solve? 🎶Double your pleasure, double your fun…🎶. Two Kathys-Cathy’s…Two new bikes…That 🎶Long and winding ROAD🎶. …And the dialogue alluding to “it all sounds alike”? …They RODE ON THE ROAD!
Jeff’s Gems? I’m sure many of you die-hard Jumble fans have recognized Jeff’s #1 Gem, the lovely Mrs Kathy Knurek. Riding the bike at left, which bears the signature Jumble J encircled within a square logo, she’s donned a Wilco T-shirt. Her friend, Cathy, at right, shown wearing a T-shirt in the image of her comic strip namesake Cathy, https://tinyurl.com/bfn3eeka has what I think to be the more modern script J as her bike’s emblem.…As I said…our girls SPOKE the same language…(Or it’s a 9…and then I FLAT out have no idea what it means)…
So…There you have it Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, stay safe…and if you are a bicycle enthusiast, try to avoid the bike trails after dark…They’re full of cycle paths…🚴🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️
I STAND WITH UKRAINE 💔🇺🇦
I too stand with Ukraine…
Got up yesterday; put on my black hat, climbed into my saddle and galloped to the rescue!
Actually, I sent a “chin up” letter to the Ukraine Embassy in Washington, along with a $100 check, suggesting the Ukraine government use half for military weapons and half for food and shelter for the noble Ukraine people. 😁
🐶 The children’s story spoke about puppies playing, as puppies are PRONE to do, and how one puppy OUTRAN the other, saying “HOWDY” as he passed him by…but their little race became UNDONE when two speeding cars RODE ON THE ROAD…🐶
🚴🏻♀️The kids lay PRONE upon the ground, with backpacks all UNDONE,
They OUTRAN all the other scouts and now they wanted fun…
They had their drinks and favorite snack, a “HOWDY Buddy” cake,
And celebrated how they left slow bikers in their wake
Exhausted but excited, now their happy stories flowed…
And they waited there until the other scouts RODE ON THE ROAD…🚴🏻♀️
Good morning Friday , start of the weekend ! Wow , words that are spelled different , but are pronounced the same ! Kind of like the anagrams , like he was so “rowdy “ to say HOWDY ! Or he was PRONE to be “shown” the jumble ! Cute one for Friday ! I had a time with UNDONE , but I done it ! And I couldn’t walk so I OUTRAN and that one was tough ! Kathy and Cathy were supposed to meet Chris and Kriss , but they just RODE ON THE ROAD ! Great song by Willie Nelson ! I had the pleasure of hanging out with him after his concerts ! And 🎵I can’t wait to get on the road again🎵 !! Everyone have a great Friday , start of the weekend !
Good Morning, Jim. You too. 🚴🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️
Thought it was going to be a taxing day at the Jumble, but after a quick examination of the puzzle cartoon, somehow that brilliant flash of light, that comes from who knows where, served me a blind solve today. For the anagrams, had a tough time with OUTRAN. Great and very apropos song from Willy Nelson….it’s amazing how prolific he is in the songwriting department…and of course, even he recorded a Frank Sinatra tribute recently, of the great American Songbook.
Sinatra and Nelson…Definitely mutual admiration. Have a good one, Terry. 🚴🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️
I guess that the theme is that different letters can spell the same words: KATHY and CATHY, and then RODE and ROAD. But these are not exactly parallel. KATHY and CATHY are both nouns that mean the same – a name for a woman, spelled slightly differently. But RODE and ROAD are two different parts of speech, and they change two letters instead of one. This causes the possibility of shadow solutions, one of which is READ ON THE DOOR. They were reading a notice posted on a door about a bike rally that was about to occur. Also if OUTDUG is not an allowable word, it is hard to see how OUTRUN can be allowed either.
Good morning. My streak is still going. I went straight down the line to the cartoon without any hesitation. I needed to see the letters however to get the final answer. Perfect song choice for the cartoon answer Angela. Until tomorrow stay well and stay.
Good Morning, Paul. Tk you. Be well and stay safe out there…🚴🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️
🚴🏻♀️Something new and these girls definitely knew,
That their friendship was one that’s true blue…
So they took these two bikes,
Two girls with names alike…
And the open road they did pursue! 🚴🏻♀️
👭🏻Be it exercise or simply for leisure,
We see our girls consider it pleasure…
Be it C or a K,
They go on merry way…
As their friendship in miles they do measure! 👭🏻
🤷🏻♀️ Wearing helmets for safety sake’s heed,
Time together is all that they need…
And with new bikes to ride,
They just take it in stride…
That their names both the same do they read! 🤷🏻♀️
JUMBLE REWIND…In keeping with the theme of things that match, I think I’ve matched the picture of the cat that hung on the wall in March 19th’s puzzle that I SPOKE about…A Wilco album cover… https://tinyurl.com/2vjfbv2z. 🐱🙋🏻♀️
I knew you’d get there!
LOL! 🙋🏻♀️
Kudos Angela! 🐈👍🏻
Tks, Mike. 🙋🏻♀️
A Friday wipeout.First on the anagrams, undone and outran, and then on the cartoon, road to failure for me! A Friday wipeout.
The word “howdy” held me back a bit as I was not sure it was a dictionary word but evidently it is. I’ve used the word “blether” just for the sake of the rhyme of course. It’s a Scots word for chat, noun and verb.
It’s in tandem that these two are riding
And the pride in new wheels they’re not hiding
As they pedal together
Just having a blether (chat)
Looks like they’ll follow the road long and winding!
“HOWDY” partners in jumbleland – i “RODE” the “ROAD” to frustration with undone and outran today but it turned out okay when I got ro the cartoon !
Have a blest and sunny day – – until tomorrow !
Wishing you the same, Suz. 🚴🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️
I was nearly undone by “outran” this morning which really doesn’t seem that difficult but once I figured out that one, the cartoon answer was a breeze. Happy Friday to all!
