Good Morning, Everyone. I hope this finds you well..
0️⃣ TRUE, NUMBERS DON’T LIE…BUT SUM-TIMES WE MIGHT JUST GET A-ROUND IT! 0️⃣
🎶 Will it go ‘ROUND in CIRCLES?…Will it fly high like a bird up in the sky?….Will it go ‘ROUND in CIRCLES?…Will it fly high like a bird up in the sky?…🎶 “Will It Go Round In Circles” – Billy Preston 1972 https://tinyurl.com/5n6vybhs
0️⃣ Just like the OPERA it ain’t over ‘til the fat lady sings,
When doing Math it’s tricky with rounding up and things…
Some kids they just CROUCH down in class, hoping to not be found,
‘Cause Math just doesn’t add up…numbers piled in a MOUND
It buries some kids under, it’s a SHROUD in a way…Yup…
Comes down to answers…not that easy to just ROUND “SUM” UP! 0️⃣
Coming right on the heels of the “SUM” puzzle we enjoyed just this past Saturday, today’s also proved no PROBLEM. ROUNDING a number https://tinyurl.com/5fk8uxxx simply makes life …well simpler…And that’s what we have here today…Another simple puzzle…So we just ZEROed in on the solve…If you’re dealing with ADDition and you want more ZEROES…Well…just go looking…and ROUND “SUM” UP! https://tinyurl.com/5t3k9cn5 A very clever double play on words here…And just as our dialogue tells us…it may not be TOTALly precise…but it’s approximate…
As for today’s equations? Unlike Saturday’s puzzle, where our numbers TOTALled 1954, these numbers seem to have ZERO significance as far as I can tell, with them having 2 2s and a 7 in common after being rounded up. But then again…who knows. They might ADD up to SUMthing for our creators. But there is a definite PLUS here today…You gotta love our little girl. I guess she’s FIGUREing if the teacher can fudge the numbers with these two examples, he might as well do the same across the BOARD…and embellish their grades while he’s at it. Now that would definitely make a DIFFERENCE!
So…There you have it Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, stay safe…and remember…There’s a fine line between a division sign and an addition sign…at all TIMES…➕0️⃣🙋🏻♀️
🙇🏻♂️ With the MOUND of bills hanging over them like a SHROUD, they wanted to CROUCH and hide…but after deciding to put on an OPERA, and having so few people showing interest, they recruited three members to ROUND SOME UP…🙇🏻♂️
🍇They’d CROUCH behind the bushes, with some leaves worn as a SHROUD,
They’d play like that for hours…child’s OPERA..laughing loud
They’d take a MOUND of berries and create meals for their sup…
And ate them ‘long with sodas…when lucky to ROUND SOME UP! 🍇
Good morning thirsty-Thursday ! The anagrams were very easy . I was real comfortable with them, and the jumble , after I saw the cartoon and read the letters , the math problem had SUM in it , but the word ROUND a came first , then SUM UP was left . It was then ROUND SUM UP ! We’ll I’m gonna be short , so everyone have a great thirsty-Thursday !!!
You too, Jim 0️⃣🙋🏻♀️
0️⃣ Rounding numbers we see being taught,
And attention from kids teacher sought…
It’s zeroes on display,
Teacher’s showing the way…
That the zero can be more than naught! 0️⃣
➕In a classroom zeroes holding sway,
Vital to the Math lesson today…
The point getting across,
Is that zero’s no loss…
When it’s used in this rounding up way! ➕
🤷🏻♂️Children learning that looking for sums,
Can be easier when zero comes…
It can round up to base,
As we see in this case…
With one kid more involved than her chum! 🤷🏻♂️
Today is WORLD KIDNEY DAY, celebrated to bridge the knowledge gap to better kidney care… https://tinyurl.com/yck6j37b 🩺🙋🏻♀️
Good morning. Had a brain freeze on Crouch but it finally came to me. No blind solve but was able to sum up the answer. Another hit with your song choice Angela. Until tomorrow stay well and stay safe.
Good Morning, Paul. Tk you. Wishing you stay well and safe too. 0️⃣🙋🏻♀️
Not as quick on the draw as I wanted this morning…didn’t quite see SUM right away so did the fairly easy anagrams and put it together that way. Will have to listen to Angela’s song….she always makes a fine choice. Enjoy this pretty day.
Tks, Terry. Hope you enjoy the day too. 0️⃣🙋🏻♀️
Not to stand on a Mound and brag but there was not a Shroud of mystery nor did I Crouch in fear like some comic Opera performer while solving this Jumble. Seeking greater challenges and hoping the boys Round “Sum” Up. Going with Elvis Costello song “Less than Zero” today. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MHQK3yo9CBA
When it comes to marks and a grade
Well, students are often dismayed
They react with a frown
If teachers round down
But round up – and their day is just made!
This Jumble again has additions. Unlike the past Jumble there does not seem to be much significance in these numbers. 15478 is the Zip code for Fayette County, Pennsylvania, and 29728 is the Zip code for Chesterfield County, SC. I live in a Chesterfield County, but not that one. But the idea of “round” numbers is curious. One might think of rounding π to 3, but actually one should round 3 to π. 3 is a triangular number and a triangle is definitely not round. 4 is a square number, and thinking of 4 as a round number is like putting a square peg in a round hole. π is the ratio of the circumference of a circle to the diameter so it is the roundest number of them all.
You have my head going round and round with all of this! I’ll stick to loonie limericks!
An amazingly easy puzzle for a Thursday, even opera was a quick solve. Being a math guy, round up and sum were obvious cartoon answers. May God bless Ukraine.
🙏🏻🇺🇦
Easy one today.
The catcher was in a CROUCH, and the OPERA singer was on the MOUND wearing a SHROUD and ready to throw the first pitch. I hope the first pitch happens before May or ROUND SUM UP could replace ‘play ball’.
Cute puzzle this morning. Love the student asking if he would round up their grades. Happy Thursday to all!
Good Morning, Everyone. I hope this finds you well..
