🎶 It’s just about ready to do that thing…I don’t want no tears, I don’t want no lies…Above all, I don’t want no alibis…This Judge is hip, and that ain’t all…He’ll give you time if you’re big or small…🎶 “Here Comes The Judge” – Pigmeat Markam 1968 https://tinyurl.com/mr2dz6nu

    🧑🏻‍⚖️ A Judge’s job’s not easy, there’s much she need decide,
Like if the guy in PIRATE clothes has something odd to hide…
There was the case of “DRAGON Man” that had her on the ledge,
She thought the guy would ERUPT…not a case for bets to hedge
And although she may WINCE at times, she’s definitely not fainthearted…
She does her best to get it right…and acts properly WARRANTED! 🧑🏻‍⚖️

Today’s puzzle brings us just one new anagram, NWICE. The others were last seen in 2016, 20 and 21, respectively. But once again, we were right on the CASE and easily had them all PUT AWAY. The solve? The dialogue…”Need to get inside”…”You have my permission”. The word SEARCH in the question…Rock solid EVIDENCE there… It was all we needed to close this CASE!…It was definitely WARRANTED!

Our cartoon? A courtroom. We see the Judge, a police officer and who I think to be the prosecuting attorney… Fortunately I’m not familiar with any of this!…And if you look real closely, you can see the Scales of Justice on the search warrant, just as it is on the bench…And that’s a RAP!

So…There you have it Folks..Done. Have a good one. Be well, stay safe…and I’ll leave you with a little law and order humor… Did you hear that the police have a warrant out on a height-challenged psychic who’s been ripping people off? …It reads “Small medium at large.” 🧑🏻‍⚖️🙋🏻‍♀️

  2. FYI: Fourteen years ago today, Jeff’s first cartoon was featured in the Jumble. To commemorate his Anniversary, here’s that cartoon. https://tinyurl.com/5n6u9a6y
Wishing you a Happy Anniversary, Jeff… And here’s to many more successful years! 🍾🥂🙋🏻‍♀️

  3. 🔥The teacher realized that the lesson WARRANTED a little more caution when the DRAGON’s flame and the volcano experiment seemed to ERUPT at the same time, causing the little boy, waiting nearby with his PIRATE exhibit, to get startled and WINCE…🔥

🐉 He bought the DRAGON costumes, but hardly was convinced,
That the kids would really like them…he figured they would WINCE…
He hoped they wouldn’t ERUPT then into a vale of tears,
Like what had happened last time when they asked for grizzly bears
He tried to push the PIRATE theme, but Sue and Nick and Ted…
    Were thumbs down…so it’s dragons…hoping fears not WARRANTED!🐉

  4. 👮🏻‍♂️ 🧑🏻‍⚖️ When police have a case they must prove,
They need warrants before they can move…
They need go by the book,
So the Judge takes a look…
    Protocol followed always behooves…👮🏻‍♂️🧑🏻‍⚖️

  5. Good morning. Hallelujah, I finally was able to get a blind solve. I had just a little trouble with a couple of words but bam, when I went to the cartoon the answer popped right into my head. Unique version of that song Angela. First time ever seeing or hearing it. Until tomorrow stay well and stay safe.

  6. Blind solve here, too! I didn’t even Wince or Erupt with bad words like a Pirate fighting a Dragon. Self congratulations are completely Warranted. I had never seen “Here Come the Judge” performed but I certainly remember Sammy Davis Jr. repeating that phrase in costume on “Laugh In.” Gives you an idea of how old Old Omaha is. My work week ends today. See you in the funny pages!

  7. Nice easy Thursday Jumble and adding my name to other Blind Solvers !!! A real tough time with PIRATE although other anagrams easy. I could tell by the curtains that it was the .Tonight show…and yes, that really goes back a ways.

  8. Good morning ! My mind was not WARRANTED to get the jumble, so I asked my wife , Suzie, and she got it and put a WARRANT out ! We did have a little brain freeze with two anagrams , but after we saw the PIRATE slay the DRAGON, we didn’t WINCE on ERUPT ! We hope everyone has a great thirsty-Thursday !!

  9. Pierre, a sweet, romantic “DRAGON” met his sweetheart, Suzette, the “PIRATE” from Pittsburgh, to ask her to marry him. As they sipped thier wine, out from the pocket of his coat, he had to “WINCE” as the 10 carat diamond did “ERUPT” from his pocket landing in Suzettes wine glass ! Was the evening a success? It wasn’t “WARRANTED”, would she say yes – maybe she did, we’ll see in the next jumble ! Have a superb and sunny day !

  10. After such fiery, volatile words to unscramble, the solution had a lot less spit!

What we see is a case of a judge
Who needs little persuasion to budge
    A warrant’s a must
If the thieves can be bust
That definitely she will not begrudge!

  11. Judging by the posts this morning, the Jumble was an easy solve for most folks, including me. I too remember Sammy Davis Jr. on Laugh In. He was a marvelous entertainer and that show was a masterpiece. Happy Thursday to all!

    • The man could definitely do it all…Happy Thursday to you too, Betty. 🧑🏻‍⚖️🙋🏻‍♀️

  12. I looked over the words and immediately saw Wince, then solved the puzzle. Backing into the other words, there were a lot of the same letters! Which was really fun, because I was trying to pick those out first, and it made it more of a challenge to myself! Good day, all! 🤗

  13. This one Mar 3 gave me alot of trouble, especially pirate and dragon which I finally cheated on after 23 tries. I finally got pirate after 20+ tries.

    • Best thing about the Jumble is that there’s always a tomorrow and a brand new start…Here’s to tomorrow! Have a good night..🙋🏻‍♀️
