  1. Good Morning, Everyone…I hope this finds you well…
    🦴 WHEN YOU’RE HOT…YOU’RE HOT! 🦴

🎶 The HEAT is on, on the street.. The pressure’s high, just to stay alive…’Cause the HEAT is on…🎶 “The Heat Is On” – Glenn Frey 1984 https://tinyurl.com/4k7rdxp4

🦴 So Paleontology is our theme…it’s definitely not my realm,
But these two we are seeing we can tell are at the helm…
With shirts that they could WRING out, they’ve worked up quite a sweat,
I guess a BASIC thought would be that ONWARD they’ll stay wet
The job far from a SPEEDY one, the skills take time to hone…
‘And when it comes to fossils…yes, they’re all DRY AS A BONE! 🦴

So this morning, I’m happy to announce that David didn’t go DIGGING into the Archives to come up with our anagrams…The words might be OLD favorites, but the anagrams? HOT off the presses! And there was no need to break out into a SWEAT with any of them…You could easily SINK your TEETH into them all…

As I mentioned in my rhyme, Paleontology’s definitely not something I’m interested in. In fact, all I really know about it is what I may have heard while watching the TV show “Friends”…where Ross, https://tinyurl.com/2x6dwmrp one of the main characters was a Paleontologist. And except for the SEDIMENTAL memories of the show, I come up DRY…But I’m not about to bury my head in the SAND here…I’m here to report the artiFACTS as best as I can, so I may as well DIG in…

The Desert…the DRY, hot Desert…. South America I think. And our two Paleontologists, SANDY and SED have hit pay dirt…uncovering some kind of fossilized creature. And make no BONES about it, it looks pretty well PRESERVED, considering that it’s like a BRAZILIAN years old…But as we see SED trying to quench his THIRST, SANDY wiping the sweat from her brow while dusting the sand from the BONES of the skull, and our dialogue and question both mentioning fossils…well it’s pretty ROCK solid that our solve is …DRY AS A BONE! Clever…I can DIG it…

So….There you have it, Folks…Done. Pretty cut and DRY today…Have a good one. Be well, stay safe…and I’ll leave you with a little Paleontology humor… An archeologist thought he had dug up a full dinosaur… but it turned out to be just a FOSSIL arm…🦴🙋🏻‍♀️

  2. 🥩Not adhering to BASIC cooking norms, and working in too SPEEDY a fashion, the steak turned out DRY AS A BONE…and her husband told her there was no need to stand and WRING her hands…but from here ONWARD it might be a better idea if he did the cooking…🥩

🙇🏻‍♂️ He knew they’d WRING him out to dry…the new chef after all,
He should have been more SPEEDY when he handled that last call…
The murmurs about …”ONWARD now, some BASIC rules re: phone”…
Were meant directly for him…he’d served meat DRY AS A BONE! 🙇🏻‍♂️

    • I’ve used it before, Brad…and it wasn’t the first thing that started playing! Have a good one! 🦴🙋🏻‍♀️

  3. Good morning ! It’s taco-Tuesday ! I could’ve been more SPEEDY with the anagrams if I didn’t fall ‘ off ‘ on moving ONWARD . My brain was soaked and I needed Suzie to WRING it out ! So I went back to BASICs and felt very hot looking at the skull and the desert air in the cartoon . A two letter and a one letter word helped me AS A desert DRY and a skull BONE! It was fun ! My wife suzie shouted it out with confidence ! Here’s a blast from childhood past 🎵 dem bones , dem bones , dem dry bones 🎵 the Delta Rythum Boys 1928 ! So everyone have a great taco-Tuesday! I’ll have some tacos-tue !

  4. Rather down and out this morning as anagrams solved and still couldn’t figure out puzzle answer….something amiss in the Jumble part of the brain today. See you on hump day. Lot’s of good songs out there about the heat, for sure

  5. Onward and upward with another Speedy Jumble solve so Basic and nothing to Wring my hands about. We’re Dry As A Bone out here on the high Great Plains with fire danger high. When You’re Hot, You’re Hot by Jerry Reed seems like good tune for me today. Be safe and have fun.

  6. I thought the 2 letter word was on rather than as,so the cartoon answer stumped me.At least from the poll,I am in good company.

  7. No bones about it, it was an easy solve this morning. I too thought of the song, “Them bones them bones them dry bones” which is our anthem here in California these days. We are desperate for rain but the temperature was in the high 60’s yesterday and I must admit I was enjoying the beautiful weather. So I guess if you can’t do anything about it, just enjoy it. Wishing all of you a good day. 🌞

  8. I was “deader” than this fossil today! After wasting my energy with ONWARD I got stuck with SAND, RAY/S, DAY/S in the answer. My brains, the little I have this morning, dried up!
I blame it on the women’s hockey that ended early in the morning. Glad my Canadians won against a much better American team. I dread the finals if we meet again!
Do you remember the song Dry bones?

  9. I guessed ‘one of a kind’, but that didn’t fit the letters or cartoon. It took a while to find the answer.

Last rain season (Oct to Oct), we had 3 inches of rain in SoCal. We had 9 inches in December. Alas, since then it’s been almost DRY AS A BONE. For the last two weeks we’ve mostly had dry winds (Santa anas), so the cartoon fits our ‘rain’ season.
