In a repeat of yesterday’s puzzle, another EARLY WEEK EASY one, we’ve only one old anagram, GGION from 2017. But you’ll hear no COMPLAINTS from me, I found them all to be not only BIG enough to read, but easily unscrambled. The solve? The COFFEE definitely wasn’t POURly hidden, with the coffee maker prominently displayed, the mugs streaming, and our question mentioning DRINK…And with our man of the SCOUR, who I’ve named CRANKY, I mean Frankie, up EARLY and leafing through his MORNING paper?…And complaining?…Which according to his long suffering wife, DOLORes, is a daily Morning ritual? In Frankie’s case? He’s drinking “MOANING” COFFEE!
And now our cartoon…which today, IMO, may just be one of Jeff’s finest. I’ll start with the newspaper. At top, there’s a crossword puzzle, and a Boggle Brain Busters puzzle, which shows the name ANGE spelt out on the third line going across. At the bottom is a Jumble puzzle, with letters that spell the words: Eagle, Zesty, Cozier and Degree, and if I’m not mistaken, the drawing is the beginnings of what turned out to be the puzzle of 12/13/21 https://tinyurl.com/ycfa3w9h And next to that is a Family Circus cartoon of Dolly and Billy looking at what appears to be another comic strip in a newspaper. It’s amazing! Next, DOLORes has her cell phone in hand, the screen showing the opening of the Just Jumble App, while in her other hand is her coffee, in an I ❤️Jumble mug…and I notice that she’s holding it the way I do, without using the ear. Fusion was the hardest anagram for me.

I have no complaints with the jumble , so I’ll have a sip of my Jumble-orning coffee on that one . The words were GOING in the right FRAME, so I made my coffee a little CREAMY . The guy got up in the morning with a lot of FUSION so he started complaining about everything ! He should’ve ate a taco with his coffee ! Have a great Tuesday ! This one was really fun !

Good morning. I guess today my brain was a little clogged because it took me some time to get 3 of the words and once I moved on to the cartoon answer and saw the first word in quotation marks I almost gave up. But then I took a breath and copied all the letters down and noticed my favorite beverage among the letters. Once I crossed off those letters the remaining ones gave me the first word. Until tomorrow stay well and stay safe.

No moaning here this morning was able to solve the anagrams and cartoon answer without difficulty. Must be that “I Love Jumble” mug that powered me through. Happy National Irish Coffee Day!. You mentioned our own Buena Vista Cafe ( or The BV as it’s known to locals) in S.F., Angela. It is an extremely popular watering hole for tourists and residents alike. During normal times they serve something like 2,000 Irish Coffees a day. We actually learned to “float the cream” just right so we can brew our own Irish Coffee here at the house. Cheers!
