But this one is hardly CURRENT…it goes way back in the Archives, since we haven’t had SINARI in play since 1962…and before that 1955…I guess some things just never WASH OUT…But nothing could BREAK the winning streak that the EBs have been on, and they just WIPED the floor with them…The solve?…They SURFED right through…

Jeff’s Gems?…Besides the name of the movie visible on both Patrick’s script and Kathryn’s hat, we see a surfer out on the water…And of course, way up at the left, there’s Jeff’s Signature Sinking Sailboat HANGING TEN, I mean hanging on, for dear life…something we’ll never grow BOARD of…But something else caught my eye…I’m not looking to make WAVES or anything, but if you look real closely, you’ll notice that the temple on Kathryn’s glasses is missing. And I can’t help but wonder…How does she keep them BALANCED without the temple?

Hello Monday jumble ! What a DOOZY ! The words were a THUMBs up ! Just a short little trip and not a long VOYAGE . As for the jumble , the first word that I thought would splash me was BOARD . And it did , with 5 letters left , I totally GOT ON ! “Point Blank” so the first song that gave me RAISIN was 🎵we’ll all be planning that route . We’re gonna take real soon . We’re waxing down our surfboards . We can’t wait till June . We’ll all be gone for the summer . We’ll all be gone for the summer . We’re on surf-ari to stay . Tell the teacher we’re surfing . I Got On Board for this fun start to the Jumble week. May have to take a Voyage to Cali via my Thumb and have a Doozy of a time soaking up the rays like a Raisin in the sun. Always good vibrations with a Beach Boys tune, dude. But I don’t have to go to Cali, at least this week, to soak sun. The Great Plains having a run of uncommonly nice weather with highs in 60s and 70s forecast this week. Bonus golf ahead!

So they GOT ON BOARD. But for that to happen, they need boards. They can’t surf, after all if they GOT NO BOARD. One other shadow solution is GOT AD BORON, which reminds me of Ronald Reagan. So the picture I get is that these people want to make a surfing movie about Ronald Reagan but for them to do so, they need surfing boards.

This was back a long time ago, in the 1950s when Ronald Reagan appeared in a series of ads about 20 mule team Borax, which to me is not political. So any time I hear Ronald Reagan or boron mentioned, I think of these ads.

Anagrams were a quick solve as was the cartoon solution,even though I didn’t get the “board” connection.All in all an easy Monday solve.A down weekend for me with the Harbaugh brothers getting my Buckeyes on Saturday,and the Browns last night.
It definitely was an easy solve, Professor..and a very clever one to boot.. But the Board connection is definitely the key…As to sports?
