  1. Good Morning, Everyone…. 🍭YUM’S THE WORD? 🍭

🎶 SWEETer than CANDY on a stick…Huckleberry, cherry or lime…If you had a choice she’d (sic) be your pick…But lollipop is mine… LOLLIPOP, LOLLIPOP…Oh lolli lolli lolli, lollipop, lollipop…🎶 “Lollipop” – The Chordettes (w/Andy Williams) 1959 https://tinyurl.com/3vcnzsum

🍭 I wonder if Mom even tried to DIVERT her away,
And not go to the Candy Store while out shopping today…
This little girl so cute though, she gives your heart a SINGE,
The SHADOW of that smile? It could cause a shopping binge!
So now she’s got her lollipop…she’ll TWIRL that candy treat…
And there’s no need for words here…’cause it’s all so SHORT AND SWEET! 🍭

So…We start our week with a cute little puzzle that’s guaranteed to satisfy everyone’s SWEET tooth…And it’s CRUNCH time…so let’s take a BITE out of it…

Our words? NUTtin’ new. All four are already in the Jumble MINT, so there were no STARs BURST this morning…But we do have three new anagrams, (which is a JOY in itself, considering the MOUNDS of words David puts out)…and the one TWIX in the mix was RVDEIT, from August 2011…And if I were forced to CHEWS one word that caught an Early Bird off guard, causing the others to SNICKER? I’d have to go with SHADOW…He just couldn’t SINK HIS TEETH into it…But the solve? Easy, breezy REESE’S PIECEzy! Like taking CANDY from a baby…

Ok…our cartoon…Mom, Mrs Goodbar, and her little daughter, BABY RUTH, (nicknamed KIT KAT), are seen returning a little AFTER EIGHT, from a shopping trip along 5th AVENUE…Yesterday was probably PAYDAY…And just as Mom is saying, “O HENRY, guess where we went”, our little SWEETHEART, with a smile worth 100 GRAND, blurts out to Dad, MR GOODBAR, where they’ve been…And there’s no chance of a WHOPPER here because it’s pretty obvious…So as our SHORT little girl, in a SWEET voice like BUTTER, FINGERS that lollipop right up at Dad? Well, it couldn’t be any more BLACK AND WHITE, Folks…They went to the Candy Store…The story?…It’s just…SHORT AND SWEET! https://tinyurl.com/543dpye2

Jeff’s Eye CANDY? Remember me mentioning a while back how Jeff always seems to include a daisy in his drawings of a little girl? No? Hmm…I guess I didn’t SKOR much with that one. Well anyway, he does. And our little Ruth has a daisy, right SMACK in the middle of her shirt…But there’s an extra little TWIST here…If you TAKE 5, and look real closely at her shoes? Yep, daises there too…Now how SWEET is that?

So, There you have it Folks, Done. Have a good one. Be well, stay safe…and don’t go running through the day so FAST. BREAK time is GOOD…AND PLENTY of it’s even better…So find yourself a few RIESENS today to just relax and enjoy the SWEET life…🍭🙋🏻‍♀️

  2. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Even though she tried her best to DIVERT attention away from the SINGE to her uniform skirt, as soon as she began to TWIRL her baton, the SHADOW mark, in the shape of a lollipop, was terribly visible…prompting her boyfriend to say…”It’s no big deal…your skirt’s now SHORT AND SWEET”! 🤦🏻‍♀️

💃🏻🕺🏻He tries to TWIRL her ‘round the floor, a dancer he is not,
But he’s so enamored with her, that his heart…SINGE…it was hot!
She tries best to DIVERT him…he put on such a show,
She knows they look quite foolish…and hopes there’ll be a SHADOW…
So she could hide embarrassment…the guy has two left feet…
He’s very nice, but truth be told? He’s just too SHORT AND SWEET…💃🏻🕺🏻

  3. Hello everyone ! Great start to s new week ! I thought the jumble was easy, but I did have to think a bit ( o honey ) ! The two words that came out from looking at the cartoon was the girl who is short and holding the candy Loli-pop , which is sweet, and when I fried those two words , it was a done deal ! I had to use more of my thinking cap to get a couple of the words, but they came . Great song ! Lollipop! I love that song ! And the names of mom , little daisy and dad , which I thought of as ‘sugar daddy’ ! Ok have a great start to the week ! Good one !

    • Good Morning, Jim. Definitely a good one. Wishing you a great start to the week, too. Enjoy! 🍭🙋🏻‍♀️

  4. Certainly was a Short And Sweet Jumble today. Angela making my sweet tooth ache with all those candy brands. Lollipop a great song choice because as kids we used our finger in the side of our mouth to make that pop sound at the appropriate point. But I also thought of Sammy Davis Jr. song, “The Candy Man.” Who can make a sunrise? Can’t Divert from work any longer so I will Twirl into the Shadow before bosses Singe my next job review.

  5. To the child who is out for a treat
    Nothing could be so sweet
    With candy in store
She could ask for no more
Now her life is really complete!

  6. Good morning. Enjoyed the start of a new week. For me it wasn’t the usual easy Monday jumble. This required a little thinking. I was going to give up on the cartoon answer but like yesterday I figured I’d give it one more try. All of a sudden the answer fell into place. Loved your song choice Angela and the King of Puns has NUTin on you, the Queen of puns. Until tomorrow stay well and stay safe.

    • Good Morning, Paul. Thank you…It was fun…And 👏🏻👏🏻Kudos for that second time around…Have a good one…and ditto on the well and safe…🍭🙋🏻‍♀️

  7. 🍭 Nothing sweeter than our little girl,
With a lollipop in hand to swirl…
And she’s glad to tell Dad,
‘Bout the good time she had…
Out with Mom on the town all a’twirl! 🍭

🤷🏻‍♀️ We see Dad meeting them at the door,
But look closer at cartoon du jour…
    The doorknob’s not in view,
    Somethings definitely askew…
Was it left on the drawing room floor? 🤷🏻‍♀️

🍭 With a sweet tooth she needed to sate,
And her Mom who’s so easy to bait…
    Baby Ruth got her treat,
    And she’s loving her sweet…
And there def was no reason to prate! 🍭

👨‍👩‍👧 Short and sweet is our theme of the day,
And for Dad there’s not much he can say…
    Candy store? He could tell,
For he knows them so well…
A sweet family for sure are they! 👨‍👩‍👧

🍫 When it comes to a child and sweets,
It’s just something they all love to eat…
    So while shopping Mom knew,
    What she’d probably do…
Take our Ruth to the store for a treat! 🍫

  8. Sweet was an obvious choice for one of the cartoon solutions, but I couldn’t come up w the rest of the answer.Though short should have also been an obvious choice, given the little girl’s height.

    • Good morning, Chuck. My suggestion would be to look for AND, FOR, BUT, or THE when there’s a 3-letter word. There are quite a few others, but those are the ones I keep in mind. Have a great day and take care.

  9. Am thinking I am back in the game again…..didn’t initially blind solve the puzzle, but as I was unscrambling, it came to me. Anagrams pretty easy today. And of course, we have discussed the wonderful Chordettes before. Angela, you could have even chosen Mr. Sandman and I would have been happy !!! Have a great Monday

  10. Short and sweet indeed, that describes today’s puzzle. I first saw “divert” as “trivet” for some reason but like Mike, I look to see what the conjunction is and lacking the “d” for “and” found my mistake. Happy Monday to all!
