Good Morning, Everyone…⛄️ SNOW ICE TO MEET YOU! ⛄️
🎶 Gee, what A GUY I’ve got…love him so…the things he does for me…Makes me know…I’m the luckiest girl in this whole wide world…Gee, what A GUY…Gee, what A GUY…🎶 “Gee, What A Guy” – Yvonne Carroll & The Roulettes 1963 https://tinyurl.com/3mz7h5zb
⛄️The CAMPUS was the ideal place, kids loved its many hills,
The Snowman SLYLY let them come to enjoy winter’s thrills…
The old sled they’d been using, with TWINE tied here and there,
Paled in comparison to this guy who they now held so dear…
They nicknamed him Sir GASKET, because he was so round,
They hoped winter would never end, since this new friend they found
And until the snow disappears and things will go awry…
They’re enjoying each day with him….’cause he’s just AN “ICE” GUY! ⛄️
So, while we once again today are seeing all old words, in a little twist of fate, David’s managed to SLIP in all new anagrams! What a GUY!…And the EBs SLID right through them…The solve? Another easy, breezy one…
Ok…Since I already put our sledders on a Campus, I’m staying put…Three snow-laden fir trees are seen off in the background. And there they are, three little kids sledding down a hill on the back of our Snowman, Gasket…Some snow is still falling, and the little girl holding on at front is wearing daisy-shaped earmuffs. They’re all having a great time, and the dialogue is definitely SPELLING it out for us…The children thought the Snowman was…AN “ICE” GUY! And how cute is that? I swear, David SLEIGHS me!
So, There you have it, Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, stay safe…and I hope this cartoon isn’t a harbinger of some sort…That white stuff is SNOW joke…⛄️🙋🏻♀️
🤷🏻♂️ Being known as A NICE GUY around CAMPUS wasn’t enough…he knew nothing about a GASKET, and SLYLY trying to wrap TWINE around it, wasn’t working…🤷🏻♂️
🙇🏻♂️ His anger it was mounting, a GASKET he might blow,
He slowly wrapped and rewrapped TWINE while he waited to go…
They thought their acting SLYLY on the CAMPUS issue would
Cause him to turn the other cheek…and pretend things were good
But he was on to the charade, he told them…”Real nice try…
You all must take me for a fool…just ‘cause I’m A NICE GUY”…🙇🏻♂️
Fairly easy J today. The anagrams came quickly and the solution was a little puzzling……
Puzzling…😉! Have a good night,Mig…⛄️🙋🏻♀️
U 2 Angela
Tks, Mig! ⛄️🙋🏻♀️
Good morning ! The jumble today was somewhat cold , but the anagrams were there . A couple tough ones , but they came with the TWINE undone . The snowman in the cartoon looked a little SLYLY , but fun ! The kids riding him had a nICE time, the nICE GUY that he is probably slid by the college CAMPUS to give the college students a fun ride too ! Well he can stay wherever he’s at , cause I’m just not ready for snow yet , but nICE GUY always has fun ! Everyone have a great weekend !!
No one’s ready for that 4-letter word…that’s for sure! Have a good one, Jim…⛄️🙋🏻♀️
“Frosty the Snowman” aside, as soon as I saw today’s cartoon, I was wrapped up in such a feeling of déjà vu. I even felt like I could hear some sort of music related to it. It was bugging me all night…The vintage look of it…And then it finally hit me, so I went searching…And I found just what I was looking for… this is what it reminded me of. I remember seeing these commercials and wanting to buy one of these razors for my Father…So strange what one picture can do to trigger a long lost memory… ⛄️🎄🎅🏻
…And you have to see how great the cartoon looks in color…As soon as my local paper emails me the digital copy, I’ll post it. It’s adorable…🙋🏻♀️
Totally remember these ads, Angela. They were really clever.
Yes, they were, Betty. They had a sense of simplicity and innocence about them. Nice to remember…⛄️🙋🏻♀️
The teacher game me an honorable mention today (so I didn’t have to clean the chalk off the blackboards). Definitely saw the AN and knew a vowel had to follow….so penciled in AN ICE MAN and thought accolades would follow….Humrph !!! Wouldn’t you know it, I solved the first word and cried aghast that there was a Y I had to place….which rendered my MAN….moot.
With a little extra time on my hands this morning, had my DJ spin Angela’s song…and immediately I was transported back to prom days/sock hops of my early H.S. years…a fun and maybe simpler time of our lives…Very enjoyable Angela !! Am sure the vast majority of Jumblers off to various weekend Fall events….enjoy.
Man-Guy…it’s all good. You still get an accolade from me, Terry…And I agree, those old Doo-Wop songs definitely had their charm…I’m glad it helped stir a memory….Have a great day, Terry! ⛄️🙋🏻♀️
Good morning. Enjoyed the final answer on the cartoon drawing. It wasn’t a blind solve but cool just the same. I got that first word but had to check to make sure. Until tomorrow stay well and stay safe.
Good Morning, Paul. Cool, indeed! Enjoy the sunshine we have today, Paul…Be well and stay safe out there…⛄️🙋🏻♀️
The snowman’s a guy on the go
Puts on a really good show
“C’mon kids, let’s slide
For a real thrilling ride
And we’ll whoosh down the hill in the snow”!
Good Morning, Helen….Have a good one! ⛄️🙋🏻♀️
⛄️Little kids and a Snowman, how sweet,
And the Snowman is offering a treat…
“You can climb on my back,
And we’ll follow a track…
As a sled there’s no way I’ll be beat”! ⛄️
🤦🏻♀️ As a kid I loved playing in snow,
Piled high with that glistening glow…
But today the tune’s changed,
Piles of snow? I’m deranged…
‘Cause there’s shoveling to do, you know…🤦🏻♀️
⛄️ Be it Gasket or Frosty we knew,
Carefree days in the snow? Bid adieu…
But the memories last,
Those sweet days of the past…
Just like snowflakes they still cling to you…⛄️
No problem w the anagrams, but I failed to write down the A from campus to solve the cartoon.Correcting that error, and having guy for the third word, led to the quick solution.
Today’s sledding puzzle reminded me of when our daughter,Kara ,was a toddler, and I took her down a steep hill on a tobaggon behind her gramma Kathryn’s house in Allegany NY.
The cartoon just seems to strike a chord as far as memories go, Professor. It has that nostalgic look about it. Hope your day’s going well. Take care. ⛄️🙋🏻♀️
Snow trouble with the anagrams or puzzle answer this morning. One of our ski resorts at Lake Tahoe opened for business already as a result of that huge storm we had a couple of weeks ago. Happy Saturday to all!
Snow trouble! 👏🏻👏🏻Well played! And Happy Saturday to you too, Betty! ⛄️🙋🏻♀️
This one is a swap of the N. There is no such thing as A NICE STORM, especially if it is AN ICE STORM. But in this case we have guys instead of storms. The first word is SLYLY, but it looks like it should be SILLY, but it isn’t. It’s SYLLY. That’s a sylly way of spelling the word; further, if you use SYLLY instead of SLYLY, you get LA ICE GUN, as though the snowman took off because he was propelled by an ice gun. But to me that’s a sylly answer.
Hi Jim…You had me blinking there for a moment…You may not be a dollar short…but you’re definitely a day late…😉 We’ve traded in the sled for a car! APPy Sunday! 🚕🙋🏻♀️
