  1. Good Morning, Everyone…I hope this finds you well…
    🚕 RIDING HIGH…AND FARE-ING WELL! 🚕

🎶There’s no BUSINESS like ROAD BUSINESS, like no BUSINESS I know… Everything about it is appealing…Everything that TRAFFIC will allow…🎶 “There’s No Business Like Show Business” (with an apology to) – Miss Ethel Merman 1946 https://tinyurl.com/ym5x782w

🚕 Like any brand new business, you hope there’s no EXCUSE,
You want to be successful…see the cash flow run profuse…
They put a PLAQUE up on the wall, a BOXING scene portrayed,
A SPLINT on one guy, but the next…triumphant…being praised…
Investing all their money, this App had to make the score,
And luckily…an “uber” start…it took off from the door…
No way would bills go UNPAID, nor their assets slowly SHRINK,
The mobile App worked wonders…now it’s time to raise a drink…
The ridership outstanding…and projections climbing up?
It’s Kudos all around for them…with BUSINESS PICKING UP! 🚕

So…We’ve definitely been down this ROAD before…BeCOURSE in an exact repeat of last Sunday, we’re not PICKING UP any new words today, and we have two old anagrams…PNDUIA, from this past June, and SNIPTL, from this past March…And they’re both anagrammed today exactly as they were then…so let’s play FARE, and not go looking for an EXCUSE as to why we couldn’t FIGURE them out. That being said, the Early Birds had no problem PICKING UP on any of them…they just DROVE straight through…You gotta hand it to these Guys…they definitely don’t take a BACK SEAT to anyone! And the solve?…You just had to PICK UP on the dialogue…”RIDERship”? “Projections IMPROVING”?…UBER??? …It’s all MAPPED OUT…And if you went TOO FAST and missed that huge clue with the upward trend on Jeff’s GRAPHics?…Well, you’ve no one to blame but yourself for missing the boat…I mean CAR…BeCOURSE this was definitely just one more puzzle made for easy STREET!..Ok, let’s not waste any more TIME…The CLOCK’s ticking…And we need to PICK UP the pace and get this show on the ROAD…

Today we find ourselves TAKING A TRIP back in time to 2011, into the offices of Uber…And we’re seeing the creators of its Mobile App; which as you know, made getting PICKED UP by one of their drivers a walk in the park…(well, not literally…I mean, we are talking Uber here)…Anyway, what’s APPening is wonderful. With such a successful launch, they’re thrilled with the numbers SO FAR – Downloads 🔼 300%! – and are totally DRIVEN FORWARD by 2012’s projections…What a LYFT 😉to their spirits, right? Ahem…AnyWAY, without taking any DETOURS, the solve is PARKED right there IN FRONT of us…They saw their BUSINESS PICKING UP! BEEP, BEEP…Brilliant!

…And as for Jeff’s Gems? TBT? I think I have to give the GREEN LIGHT to the entire cartoon. I mean, it’s only FARE…Yep, he definitely went the EXTRA MILE here today….

So, FARE you have it Folks, Done. Be well, stay safe…and I’m hitting the ROAD…And wishing you all an APPy Sunday! …🚕🙋🏻‍♀️

  2. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Not seeing BUSINESS PICKING UP, and his faith starting to SHRINK, he decided that since he was still in London, he might as well take advantage of BOXING Day, which gave him an EXCUSE to forget his UNPAID bills for a while, and have time to return the hideous PLAQUE that had a picture of a horse in a SPLINT on it…🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

🥊 He wasn’t good at BOXING, note the SPLINT upon his arm…
He still found himself UNPAID, fight promoters don’t count charm…
He sat ringside and read the PLAQUE that hung up on the wall,
And tried to think of an EXCUSE that could explain his fall…
The plaque said…”You can’t SHRINK away…you’ll never earn your sup…
You’ve got to pull no punches to see BUSINESS PICKING UP”! 🥊

  3. Normal Sunday J for me, I always solve them quickly despite the additional letters….
Solution obvious from the dialogue. I was at a travel show about 10 years ago and the Uber founders were there talking up their venture. I poo-pooed it but it appears to have succeeded!
    See ya on Monday!

  4. Good morning ! My wife and I had a lot of fun with this Sunday jumble ! We got all the anagrams and the jumble jumped out BUSINESS PICKING UP . 🎶 and we be taking care of business (every day) Taking care of business (every way) Baucman Turner Overdrive 1973 , the year I graduated , that song popped into our heads immediately! Six words in Sunday’s jumble seems like a lot , but it’s very rewarding when you get them . Our son uses Uber a lot in California so the Business is picking up ! Heading into November, the weather has been very cooperative and we are enjoying it ! Have a great Sunday and make it a fun day !

    • Six Jumble words is always a treat..and I agree, very rewarding. I think we all love the Sunday Jumbles…Have a good one, Jim.. Be well…and stay safe out there…🚕🙋🏻‍♀️

      • My middle name is not terry , it’s David ! This is Jim saying have a great Sunday, Angela ! 👌

        • LOL! Point well taken…I had Terry on my mind…Apologies, Jim…it’s fixed! 🙋🏻‍♀️

    • Jim, you and I must be about same age..I remember Bachman-Turner Overdrive well and the title of the hit was “You Ain’t Seen Nothin’ Yet”. They took care of business in their day..I also graduated HS in 1973, born in 1955..have a wonderful day and keep Jumblin’….!!

      • Wow Alan ! What a coincidence ! I can’t wait til there’s a jumble on “baby boomers “ , have a good one !

  5. Very obvious puzzle solution for the Blind Solvers out there….though that didn’t include me, even though UP was probably the last word. Anagrams solved speedily, which helped put it all together. Don’t really get the song connection, but enjoyable nonetheless….wow, what a week, Sinatra, Cole Porter and Irving Berlin have graced the Jumble songs. Way to go, Angela. Have a great Sunday

    • The “Songbook” was definitely in the house, Terry…Wishing you a great Sunday, too…🚕🙋🏻‍♀️

  6. Couldn’t get the blind solve either. Long words psyche me out. 🙂 But I guessed the UP. Then guessed the -ING on the second word, that eventually led to PICKING. Then BUSINESS popped out. Nice pun today!

    • Good Morning, Brad. I think the “Picking Up” was brilliant! How many times have we all said..”What time’s your pickup”? 😉 Have a good one, Brad…Enjoy! 🚕🙋🏻‍♀️

  7. Too many letters for my Sunday solve, and even unpaid got me,but tomorrow’s another day.My paper’s visual is so small, that it’s hard to pick up on the posted clues, like the up trending graph on business you pointed out.Enjoy your shortened daylight Sunday. And Go Browns!

    • Hi Professor…As much as I love my paper, it’ll never afford me the visuals that an online Jumble cartoon can. So as I’ve mentioned before, if you’re looking for the Gems, you can only get them by looking online. But there’s always the spot-on dialogue that one can use to PICK UP the clues! And today’s are brilliant…Uber…a PICKUP service! Have a good one, Prof. Enjoy! 🚕🙋🏻‍♀️

  8. Good morning. Had fun with toddy’s jumble. I went straight down the line never having to go back and try to get it a second time. It wasn’t a blind solve on the cartoon but I isolated the ing and up which made the first two words appear a lot quicker. Until tomorrow stay well and stay safe.

    • Good Morning, Paul. Nicely done…👏🏻👏🏻. Enjoy your day, and stay safe out there…🚕🙋🏻‍♀️

  9. 🚕 For those looking to get across town,
    Using Uber became taxi’s crown…
It was all just a snap,
    When you used Uber App…
And in no time at all…they’re renowned! 🚕

🚕 So with Uber you just run a tab,
Gives new meaning to hailing a cab…
    No more searching the streets,
    For the yellow cab fleet…
Use the App and a ride you can grab! 🚕

🚕 The success of their App is well known,
It’s car service just using your phone…
And they came out on top,
It’s all pick up and drop…
And amazingly business has grown! 🚕 🙋🏻‍♀️

  10. No problem with the anagrams but the puzzle answer took me a little longer. First thought of “go” or “up” for the two letter word but then figured “g” would be part of “ing” so that left up and with all those “s’s” business popped into view so it was a successful solve after all. Wishing all of you a good Sunday.

    • A successful one, indeed…😉 I like what you did there…And of course, another very clever solve… Wishing you a good Sunday too, Betty. Enjoy! 🚕🙋🏻‍♀️
