  1. Good Morning, Everyone. 👗WE GOT IT CAUGHT ON TAPE! 👗

🎶 I’m STUCK on you…I’ve got this feeling down deep in my soul that I just can’t lose…Guess I’m on my way…🎶 “Stuck On You” – Lionel Richie 1984 https://tinyurl.com/46aznavt

👗The ADAGE about making hay when there was sun that shined,
Was on the mind of our girls here, and a sale they had timed…
For before weather took a turn, and HARSH days did appear,
They hoped their profits would EXCEED what they had made last year…
The window RADIUS they had they needed measure right,
So that they could announce their sale, and have it in plain sight…
They marked some little “X”s on the windows here and there…
So they’d ensure their sales help would know to…ADHERE AD HERE! 👗

    A sale…a clothing sale…What a pleasure aDRESSing this puzzle!

So…Today one repeat anagram, GAAED, https://tinyurl.com/b6pd2zh7 from January, joins our four repeat words. And the Early Birds were easily SOLD on them all. The solve? There was no way to get STUCK…and it was easy to cut through the red TAPE, since it was so obviously visible on each of the four corners of both signs, ADvertising the sale. So if you just ADHEREd to my ADvice to closely study the cartoon and the dialogue? You BOUGHT yourself a win…

And our cartoon is showing the 2 posters for the 30% off sale going up, and has what appears to be the two owners standing outside, discussing how the “Xs” marked the spot. How by placing them on the windows BOUGHT them the assurance that the ADs would be “placed perfectly” by their sales help. They knew exactly where they’d FIT in the windows…And as our girl who’s holding the marker is saying, “It makes STICKING them up easier”…ie…ADHERE AD HERE! SOLD! …Oh, and speaking of sticking, the girl inside at right, hanging the AD for the cocktail dress, and glancing up at her “X’s”? She has her tongue STICKING out! Another little bit of Jeff’s whimsy!

So, There you have it Folks, Done! Have a good one. Be well, stay safe…and here’s hoping we all STICK to the straight and narrow! 👗🙋🏻‍♀️

      • Hi Terrence. Excede is an incorrect spelling of exceed, and is a common mistake. In fact, I had to push the word through in order to get Spell Check to accept it here. And It’s not listed in the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, https://tinyurl.com/3edtsexs so it wouldn’t be considered valid. We appreciate you following us, and I hope you’re enjoying your day…🙋🏻‍♀️

  2. 💨☔️ Not heeding the warning that there’d be HARSH winds that could EXCEED 50 miles an hour and encompass a large RADIUS, he was stuck for more than an hour taking shelter in a doorway, with a sign above reading “ADHERE AD HERE”…and he thought of the ADAGE…”Doing nothing is hard…you never know when you’re done”…☔️💨

🤷🏻‍♂️ He’d often quote an ADAGE, when people acted HARSH,
He felt that it could turn the tide, and disagreements squash…
He tried to think of one he’d heard, with RADIUS its theme,
But it just kept eluding him…his guesses did EXCEED
    Whatever patience he had left…his mind a blank…all clear…
He thought that on that blank spot he could paste ADHERE AD HERE! 🤷🏻‍♂️

  3. Anagrams came to me fairly easily…but had to scramble around to finally reach solution. It almost was double use of the same word in solution like the guys have already done a couple of times this week..and I enjoy it when they do that…Jumble on folks.

    • A friend of mine said the same thing, Alan…that we seem to be seeing a good number of repeat words in the solutions. Adds to the fun…Have a good one, Alan. Enjoy! 👗🙋🏻‍♀️

  4. 👗 If a sale is what you’re looking for,
Why not buy from a neighborhood store?
    Just look for their signs,
    And avoid those long lines…
You’ll get personal service and more! 👗

    🧥It’s a bargain…30% off
And I’m seeing no reason to scoff…
    Get a warm winter coat,
    Or a trendy new tote…
Or a cap to go with your new coif! 🧥

👗Making sure that their ads are displayed,
These two partners easily had it made..
    Using “X” marks the spot,
    Advertising their lot…
Just an effective trick of the trade…👗

🧥 Winter clearance and they need the space,
    Inventory has come to replace…
So they put up some signs,
    Advertising great finds…
At their chic little neighborhood place! 🧥

👗 Discount shopping is great to pursue,
Fashion changes, you want something new…
    Off by 30 percent,
You’ll be glad that you went…
As you add to your wardrobe’s milieu! 👗

  5. It has been a tricky Jumble week, for sure. Anagrams accomplished, though RADIUS was a toughie. Looking at the letters it helped that I couldn’t spell out any prepositions. Therefore, AD probably had to be a Cartoon Jumble word….played around here and there to stumble upon the answer. Looks easy now….after all said and done.

  6. Jumble was good ! We got the anagrams ok , they didn’t exactly jump right out but they were there with a wink and a smile ! And I agree with Alan that double use of words kind of whistles attention and it helped us solve ! Have a great Halloween weekend 🎃 !!!!

  7. Now there’s two things we’re hoping will click
The poster as the glue that should stick
That this sale is real hot
    Just see what we’ve got
The appeal should just do the trick!

  8. Good morning. No problem with the words but not on the cartoon answer. I did notice the double letters again and arranged them in two groups. I finally came up with the answer but kept looking for something else with a little more pizzazz then never came. Oh well we all have our days. Enjoyed the song choice Angela. Until tomorrow stay well and stay safe.

  9. Took mealong time to solve, until I finally realized I had spelled exceed “excede.” Once I corrected that, adhere, which I guessed immediately, finally fit. Almost gave up, glad I “stuck”it out.

    • Sorry to HERE that Prof…😉 But there’s always tomorrow! Have a good one! 👗🙋🏻‍♀️

  10. RADIUS was the only word that took effort, as I first saw it as Saurid, a group of reptiles. For the answer, I first saw AD as the two letter word, and guessed at HERE due to the Hs and Es. With the letters left, it took surprisingly long to get the answer, as I was fixated on hear.

It rained a little over 0.5 inches on Monday here in S California, the first significant storm since January. Now it’s warm and dry again.

    • Once you get a word STUCK in your head, it’s tough getting past it…Rain? How I wish I could give you some of ours!! Enjoy your day, Dennis…Take care. 👗🙋🏻‍♀️

  11. Clever puzzle again this morning. I’m liking these double letter cartoon solutions. Figuring “ad” was the only two word choice helped solve the rest of the words as well as the dialogue “stick”. That dialogue is always a clue. Wishing all of you a good Saturday.

    • As I said above,I couldn’t come up w the 2 letter word,ad,for the cartoon solution,so was stumped, despite the multitude of E’s and H’s

      • Totally get it, Chuck. We’re used to “of” “at” “so” “to”. The only thing I could come up with was “ad” and then when I further studied the dialogue and saw “sticking them up” the 💡 lightbulb finally went off and I figured out adhere. It was indeed a tricky one. Tomorrow is another day. If it had involved math and numbers it would have been a no brainer for you. Take Care.
