  1. Good Morning, Everyone …I hope this finds you well…
    🥕THE BOULEVARD OF DOGGIE DREAMS 🥕 **

🎶 WALKIN’ THE DOG,…Just walkin’ the dog..If you don’t know how to do it, I’ll show you how to WALK THE DOG…🎶 “ Walking the Dog” – Rufus Thomas 1963 https://tinyurl.com/3hnckp4k

🐕‍🦺 Most dogs, they have a RHYTHM, as they take their daily walk,
Familiar with the route they take so that they’ll be no balk…
And knowing which house has a STASH of goodies they can taste,
It helps them not to WAVER, and allows no time to waste…
No searching down a RABBIT hole, this dog dines à la carte…
There’s no denying he’s learned well…and def he IS “TREAT” SMART 🐕‍🦺

So…With no new words this morning, and one repeat anagram from 2013 in BARTIB, today’s decoding went well. There was a slight pause at STASH..I heard the Early Birds calling out Shaft and Haste…but I quickly TRAINed, I mean reined them in by telling them they were totally BARKING up the wrong tree…I figured it was the LEASH I could do…But as for the solve? Almost every one of us is a City Slicker, so Street Smarts https://tinyurl.com/pk4ma9cr is a very familiar phrase with us…and between the hints in the dialogue, and the SPOT on cartoon, it was a WALK in the park! This dog, without a doubt…IS “TREAT” SMART!

And as for our cartoon…once again we’ve gotten ourselves a keeper, since Jeff’s featured his own two furry friends, Gizmo and Fifi. For those long-time fans of the Jumble, and this blog, I’m sure you recognized them, as they’ve made many an appearance in our puzzles over the years. Gizmo, the white male Chiweenie with the broken right ear, is the dog with the (TREAT) Street SMARTS, and he’s overheard giving Fifi, the black female Papillon with the little heart on her collar, the lay of the land…”Carrots and Belly Rubs”!…Definitely TREATS …And Fifi? Very impressed, thinking he’s so SMART! And I guess it goes without saying that Gizmo MUTT be very PUP-ular in that neighborhood, unLEASHing all that information! Guaranteed he’s the life of the PAWty!

So, There you have it Folks, Done. Have a good one. Be well and stay safe…it’s still a little RUFF out there…And I hope someone TREATS each and every one of you special today…🐕‍🦺🙋🏻‍♀️

** Shout Out to Mr Tony Bennett. “Boulevard of Broken Dreams”, although recorded by many artists, is very strongly identified with Mr Bennett.. In fact, his demo recording in 1949, heard by Mitch Miller, got him his first recording contract with Columbia Records…and the rest is musical history… https://tinyurl.com/pzpxnspb Cento Anni, Mr Bennett…BECAUSE OF YOU I learned to appreciate good music…You’re definitely a rare BREED…🙋🏻‍♀️

  2. …AND OUT OF THE ARCHIVES…🙋🏻‍♀️
The puzzle of March 14th, 2015…The question… “The dog knew which stores to get snacks at because he was”… The solve: “TREAT” SMART!

  3. 🐰 He found an old STASH of comic books, and one of them, a Bugs Bunny, had the RABBIT trying not to WAVER as old Elmer Fudd tried to lure him with the RHYTHM of a guitar…but we all know that Bugs IS STREET SMART …and he’d never fall for that! 🐰

🐇 He noticed that the RABBIT didn’t WAVER in his ways,
He’d STASH his little carrots beneath all that grassy haze…
And he kept a certain RHYTHM, as back and forth he’d dart,
This rabbit is a sly one…there’s no doubt he IS STREET SMART! 🐇

  4. I thought it would have something to do with STREET SMART and it did in a way. Cute cartoon as well.

  5. Good morning ! Either I’m getting better or the jumbles are staying easy. I had a confusing time with RHYTHM. I was very adamant about the spelling of the word, I thought there was a “u” in it ; but I learned something today that I’ll never forget , but I got through the rest with ease. We have 3 dogs and I love a good dog jumble . When I looked at the letters, the one word that jumped out was SMART, and I knew that a dog snack is a treat , cause when I call the dogs to come in , I always give them a TREAT and that word jumped out also . The only letters left were IS and when you go to houses , you’re going in the streets , so the dogs were TREAT SMART. Got it !!!! What’s really crazy about this jumble is we also have a RABBIT ! I would WAVER that tomorrow’s jumble will be very interesting , can’t wait ! Everybody have a great day ! And enjoy ! I looked through my dog STASH and couldn’t find a song 🎵 about dog treats !

  6. 🐕 So Gizmo’s definitely Top Dog,
And he helped other dogs cut through fog…
    He set them all straight,
    Making sure they all ate…
When they went out for their doggie jog! 🐕

🐕‍🦺 We see Fifi with her dog mentor,
And she’s learning things straight from the door…
    She has Gizmo who’ll teach,
Once she’s off from that leash…
That the treats to be had just ain’t lore! 🐕‍🦺

🐕 While there are neighbors who live on your street,
Who resent any dog they might meet…
    You will always find some,
    Who make dogs most welcome…
And they’re more than willing to share treats!🐕

🐕‍🦺 We see Gizmo and Fifi out free,
And you wonder though where Jeff can be…
‘Cause the man loves his pets,
So I doubt that he lets…
Them go roaming the streets without he! 🐕‍🦺

🐕 It’s a dog eat dog world that’s for sure,
But with Gizmo you need not implore…
    He’s most willing to share,
And he makes it quite clear…
As he gives other dogs the treat tour! 🐕 🙋🏻‍♀️

    • Seems Rover’s a dog on the go
And to pals is willing to show:
      “Now this is my beat
      Best treats on the street
So now you will be in the know”!

  7. Not thinking outside the box today. Well, did not get a blind solve, but figured IS and TREAT might be part of puzzle solution. Therefore, diligently went to work unscrambling and even had to slow down and cogitate over the first word…WAVER. With all anagrams unscrambled and SMART left over after I took out IS and TREAT (mistakenly thinking TREAT was last word)…..I read out IS SMART TREAT…which made no sense at all !!! Until my precious Marsha showed me the folly of my ways and told me to flip the words…DUH !!! Am going to slink to the back corner of the room now. Great song, Angela. See you tomorrow.

    • You always give me a laugh, Terry. Glad you enjoyed the music, and here’s to you both having a great day…🐕‍🦺🙋🏻‍♀️

  8. Took me a while to get the puzzle solve even with spotting Smart right off. What dog Is (not) Treat Smart?
Otherwise, I did not Waver as my Rhythm improved fast as a Rabbit and I’m able to Stash another Jumble in the win column. So many more dogs in our neighborhood with more people at home and it’s a pleasure to watch them prance past as they show off their owners. Cooling on the Great Plains began yesterday with freeze advisories aplenty. Time to clean out the garden, folks!

  9. Good morning. Pressed for time I looked up Rhythm and went straight to the answer on the cartoon. Until tomorrow stay well and stay safe.

  10. I also hesitated on how to spell rhythm. Then having solved the anagrams and having all the letters,I was thinking the first word was as rather than is .After sorting that out,I thought the answer was ,is street smart, but lacking the letters for street, finally decided on ,is treat smart.
One smart dog!Doesn’t look good for my Browns tonight, on Th nite football,w the QB,Mayfield out, both running backs out,and 2 offensive tackles also out.Nevertheless,go Browns!

    • Sorry to hear that Scott…I can imagine how frustrating that can be. I hope the day improved…Take care…🐕‍🦺🙋🏻‍♀️

  11. Cute puzzle this morning and very appropriate. I have a GrandDog who knows I always give him a treat. He’s supposed to shake my had before he gets a treat but usually gets so excited he practically loses his balance trying to give me both paws at once. We have a wonderful new sound in our area this morning ☔️ RAIN!! I’m just praying that we have many more days of the wet stuff to help with this dreadful drought. I almost lost my first ☂ umbrella of the season yesterday unaccustomed as I am to carrying one.

    • Hey Betty…Poor puppy…but too funny. And yes, it’s all over the news about the rain. Good luck! Have a good one! 🐕‍🦺🙋🏻‍♀️

    • Hi…Look above at the intro…You’ll see that there’s 2 S’s in STASH. Or did your paper have the H circled also, like Scott above has mentioned? 🤷🏻‍♀️

      • My paper (a USA Today network member) also had the H circled instead of the second S. The puzzle had a different layout than usual, too

        • Hi. I wish I could help..I can imagine how frustrating that can be…My only suggestion is to contact your paper about it. Hope you enjoy your day. 🙋🏻‍♀️
