  1. Good Morning, Everyone…. 🍭HOW SWEET IT IS! 🍭

🎶Take your SWEET, SWEET TIME…I will be here if you change your mind …Take your SWEET, SWEET TIME…I will be here for you baby, anytime …🎶 “Take Your Sweet Time” – Jessie McCartney 2004. https://tinyurl.com/h38shdta **

🍭The Lollipop’s a huge one, and the girl is in no rush,
She’s licking it so slowly, making sure that it don’t slush…
But that much candy’s sure to do her TEETH a lot of harm,
The smaller ones are better…you know, what’s the brand name..Charms?
To INJURE teeth with sugar now, at this such a young age,
Isn’t the smartest thing to do…there’s no turn back the page…
Maybe best not have SHOWN her a lollipop this huge,
‘Cause later they may MUTTER, and be left feeling a stooge
The colors all are pretty…must be grape, lemon and lime…
But still, with all this candy? May not end up…HER SWEET TIME! 🍭

When I first saw today’s puzzle, it gave me a strong sense of déjà vu. I remembered one particular Lollipop puzzle that we’d had in the past, so I went searching…and I found it. I didn’t think it was so long ago, but it turns out that it was from back in 2017. https://tinyurl.com/6f3mfd9h Boy, how TIME flies when you’re having fun, huh? Anyway, it wasn’t just the cartoon that rang a bell. It was the solve, too. Which by the way, was a piece of cake. Hmm…Are you sensing a pattern here? Sweets running amok? Well anyway, we’ve had solutions of Sweet Spot, and Spots, Sweet Dreams, Short and Sweet, and of course, a Piece of Cake. But I didn’t find our exact solve in the Archives. What I did find though was a puzzle from May 1st, 2016, where the solve was “TAKE HER SWEET TIME” …So close, but it didn’t perfectly fit the MOLD…Ok, enough TIME spent on this…let’s move on to our words…

So…Once again today, David’s given us words that are all Sweet Repeats. But it looks like our anagrams are brand spanking new. And when the Early Birds went to sink their TEETH into them, there was no need to BRACE themselves…Easy, breezy, and done… LICKety-Split!

Ok…Today we’re seeing a sweet young girl and her Grandparents. I thought at first that we might be at the aftermath of her birthday party, going by the Grandfather’s dialogue, and that the Lollipop was a birthday gift…but there’s a bed behind her, and she’s dressed in a nightgown and slippers, so that idea didn’t STICK. Plus the Grandmother saying that “she takes exactly 100 licks a day”, makes it obvious that some TIME has gone by. But the message here today is that the way she’s going about licking that lollipop, having her SWEETS…at a particular TIME each day…it’s going to take forever to finish…because she’s taking all …HER SWEET TIME! And I ask you, Folks…CANDY solves of David’s get any better? No, I don’t think they CANE….

Jeff’s Gems? Besides the cat emulating the little girl by licking its paws in sync, I have to POINT out the Unicorn poster hanging on the wall. It’s sweet…

So, There you have it Folks, Done. Have a good one…Be well, stay safe, and keep in mind, it’s not a good idea to let your kids eat candy when they awaken…no matter how you sugarcoat it…🍭🙋🏻‍♀️

** And just in case my choice of music isn’t everyone’s TASTE, there’s a backup today. You know I hate to disappoint…😉

  2. 🙇🏻‍♂️ As she took all HER SWEET TIME getting ready, he couldn’t help but grit his TEETH, and MUTTER under his breath, since he knew she was doing it to INJURE him further…after he’d SHOWN no interest in the new outfits she’d bought…🙇🏻‍♂️

📚 She sat down with the novel, and couldn’t wait to sink,
Her TEETH into it ‘cause she heard it’s one to make you think…
The clerk had SHOWN her many books, but this one caught her eye,
The title, “Now, I INJURE”, a story dealing with spies…
She turned the pages slowly, some fear…but she had wine,
And then she heard the doorbell ring…sent shivers down her spine
A MUTTER and she jumped up, spilling wine, with the loud chime…
She should have been more careful…and just taken…HER SWEET TIME 📚

  3. No blind solve for me today, but Marsha jumped on it quickly. Anagrams easily solved to bring puzzle to fruition. Stay cool in this blistering heat.

    • Kudos to Marsha! 👏🏻👏🏻 Blistering is right! 🔥Be well, Terry…and stay safe out there…🍭🙋🏻‍♀️

  4. A little birdie told me today would be sweet, and it was……..
    Anagrams? Check.
    Solution? Check.
    On to the next one!

  5. Good morning. Hallelujah, finally succeeded on both ends of jumble today. I was even able to come up with the blind solve. Once I put down the letters I knew I was correct. You had a Pleasant first song Angela but you slid into home base safe with your second choice. Until tomorrow stay well and stay safe.

    • Good Morning, Paul…LOL! The music? Tk you…I figured as much! I favor the second one too…but that first one, with its title? What could I do? And yes, an easy go of it today…Have a good one, Paul. Be well and stay safe! 🍭🙋🏻‍♀️

  6. As she savoured her birthday treat,
All colouring and sugar so sweet
“I just want you to know
    I’m taking this slow
It’s on track for a marathon eat!

    • Good Morning, Helen..,

🍭So it looks like 100 licks,
By this young girl are doing the trick…
      She’s set up a pace,
      And here in her case…
That lollipop won’t be done quick! 🍭

  7. Very easy today.

I MUTTER, it has been SHOWN that she will INJURE her TEETH if she takes HER SWEET TIME brushing.

    • 👏🏻👏🏻! That, and licking a lollipop 100 times a day! Nicely done, Dennis! And yes…definitely an easy one today. Have a good one! 🍭🙋🏻‍♀️

  8. A Monday level solve for me w a quick solve of the anagrams and obvious solution of her as the first word and time as the third word quickly followed by her sweet time as a virtual blind solve.

    • Yes it is, Professor. A definite piece of cake! Enjoy your day, Prof! 🍭🙋🏻‍♀️

  9. Sweet treat indeed today – super easy Saturday puzzle. Angela, I’m thinking of a very old song called “Lollipop” by the Chordettes. Featured a cameo by Andy Williams. Happy Saturday to all my fellow Jumblers.
