  1. Good Morning, Everyone. šŸƒšŸ»ā€ā™‚ļøA SPEEDING FRENZY…WORST PACE SCENARIO šŸƒšŸ»ā€ā™€ļø

šŸŽ¶ STOP! In the name of love…Before you break my heart…Think it overā€¦šŸŽ¶ ā€œStop In The Name of Loveā€ – Diana Ross & The Supremes 1965 https://tinyurl.com/j5n88rke

šŸƒšŸ»ā€ā™‚ļøFor those who’ve CHOSEN jogging as a way to keep their health,
It’d be ABSURD to not pay mind to a matter of stealth…
And here we see a warning sign…no print though, no ITALIC,
Yet still there are those drivers who’ll speed through like a smart aleck…
What makes a person not take heed, instead look to EXCITE,
The people who go jogging here…through day and early night?
Perhaps there’s HERBAL indulging…while they’re behind the wheel?
That’s causing them to speed when they should drive at even keel?
The bottom line, although UNSEEN as they come round the bend…
These joggers have the right of way and drivers need to lend…
    A little common courtesy…and adhere to precaution…
Respect those who are crossing…while they’ve EXERCISED CAUTIONā€¦šŸƒšŸ»ā€ā™€ļø

So I was going to look up some statistics relating to the number of accidents that probably occur in situations like what we have here today…but then I figured…why would I do that? I mean y’all didn’t come here for some CRASH course in all that…plus what’s the need to DRIVE myself crazy over all the minutia? So I just TURNed away from the idea…

Ok…DRIVING forward…Our words. Nothing new to see here, Folks, they’ve all CROSSED PATHS with us before. And just as y’day, we have one repeat anagram, in CLAITI, which SLOWED UP, I mean showed up on May 10th of last year. https://tinyurl.com/efm4u6wh And as far as the RATE OF SPEED in which the Early Birds RAN through our words this morning? Suffice to say they kept it at a good PACE…and the only word that STOPped three of them in their TRACKS was UNSEEN. They each went with Uneaseā€¦ā€Aā€ definite violation…

So…our cartoon. Ok…here’s the deal. We see two Jumble characters, out getting some EXERCISE, by jogging through the park, and a car approaching around the bend. And I could RUN on about a few things, but the bottom line is, this was a dead giveaway, with the ā€œpresentsā€ of the Pedestrian Crossing Sign. https://tinyurl.com/3dzab3au Definitely a gift! Knowing it symbolizes CAUTION, it didn’t take much to JOG the memory of the phrase, pick up on EXERCISED…and Boom!…(no pun intended)..There it was…Put that together with ā€œCarefulā€ in the dialogue…and we’re in the Home STRETCH…They EXERCISED CAUTION…And David continues with his RUN of winners!

And while there’s nothing lurking in the bushes as far as Gems go, there is the slight chance that it’s Jeff and Kathy that we’ve RUN into today…But I think it’s a STRETCH, since Kathy has beautiful curly hair, and the dialogue between her and the guy, (who has a bead of sweat by his left eye), somehow sounds as if they’ve just RUN into one another at the crossing…But, who knows…It may just be a LAPse in judgement on my part…

So, There you have it Folks, Done. Have a good one. Be well, stay safe…and here’s to a wonderful day with your favorite Running Mate! šŸƒšŸ»ā€ā™‚ļøšŸƒšŸ»ā€ā™€ļøšŸ™‹šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø

    🌺 HAPPY AUGUST EVERYONE! 🌺

  2. šŸ«– Having CHOSEN the ITALIC font for the HERBAL Tea advertising campaign, he thought it ABSURD that the directors were going to approve it sight UNSEEN, and tried to EXCITE them by spreading the word about past fiascos when all parties hadn’t EXERCISED CAUTIONā€¦šŸ«–

šŸ•ŗšŸ»He’d always been the CHOSEN one, so now it seemed ABSURD,
That he didn’t EXCITE them…at least that’s what he heard…
He poured himself an HERBAL brew, and pictured where his name,
Should be up on the billboard, print ITALIC, claiming fame
But so far it was UNSEEN…and he’s def feeling the shun…
Was he just too rash and should he have EXERCISED CAUTION?šŸ•ŗšŸ»

  3. No blind solve today….even though a quick peek of anagrams showed the X was part of the solution. Speedily solved the anagrams, though UNSEEN took an extra moment. Deliberated over puzzle answer and where to put that X….While running out of ideas, I thought TION might fit somewhere and girlfriend Marsha jumped in with CAUTION, quickly followed by the first word with that pesky X….Good song Angela and we’ll hope that August won’t be that hot in Central Texas.

    • LOL! That pesky ā€œXā€? Too funny! Tk you on the song choice…As for the dreaded ā€œHā€ word? Your lips to God’s ears…Let’s not even think about those dog days! 😱 Enjoy your trip, Terry…and stay safe out thereā€¦šŸƒšŸ»ā€ā™‚ļøšŸ™‹šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø

  4. As approaching the crossing they strode
    Joggers heeded the highway code.
    “If drivers do the same
There’ll be no one to blame
When the rules of the road they erode!”

    • Hi Helen…

šŸƒšŸ»ā€ā™‚ļøSo a jog in the park can be fun,
Long as you stay alert while you run…
ā€˜Cause there’s cars that may cross,
And it would be your loss…
Should you end up as one run and done! šŸƒšŸ»ā€ā™€ļø

  5. Hi Everybody – An easy Sunday Ā because the UN prefix worked and the harder anagrams were familiarĀ to me. Trying to make words with the X led me to exercised and the rest. Speaking of art imitating life, just recently I became Ā concerned when I learned a relative had been jogging down a narrow two- lane road that was also hilly and winding. SeemedĀ risky to me.

    • Good Morning, Caroline. There’s mention of that ā€œpeskyā€ X again! šŸ˜‰ā€¦And after reading your comment about your relative, I apologize for the last line of my Limerick…Have a good day, Caroline. Enjoy! šŸƒšŸ»ā€ā™€ļøšŸ™‹šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø

  6. It’s August! NATIONAL COFFEE MONTH. And today, is both NATIONAL FRIENDSHIP DAY, as well as NATIONAL GIRLFRIEND’S DAY. So, I think we all know what we should be BREWing today!…Hold dear your Friends, cherish your Girlfriends, and enjoy that cup of coffee! We’ve all BEAN apart for way too longā€¦ā˜•ļøšŸ™‹šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø

  7. No problem, Angela. I thought your last line was funny. I always enjoy reading your limericks and Helen’s.

    • Thank you…It is all in jest…albeit a bit of dark humor at times! šŸ¤¦šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø

  8. Being away from my real newspaper,I was handicapped w my online Jumble.I got stumped by herbal, then given all the letters, except for an ‘ed’ ending to one of the words,I was stumped by the overall cartoon solution.Which is actually not unusual for me w a multi lettered Sunday Jumble.Go Tribe and beat the WSox again!

    • It’s all in the cartoon, Professor…you just need to study that cartoon! Have a good one Prof, and enjoy your game! šŸƒšŸ»ā€ā™‚ļøšŸ™‹šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø

  9. Good challenge this morning. Had to study the cartoon dialogue a bit but finally saw caution and then exercised was obvious after that. So all in all it was a successful Sunday. Hope all of you have a good day.

    • Wishing you a good day too, Betty. Enjoy! šŸƒšŸ»ā€ā™€ļøšŸ™‹šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø
