  1. Good Morning, Everyone…I hope this finds you well….
🧵SEAMS TO ME THEY’VE GOT THIS ONE SEWN UP🧵

    🎶 You’re the TOP…You’re an Arrow COLLAR…🎶 “You’re The Top” – Miss Ella Fitzgerald 1956 https://tinyurl.com/4sdubuke

🪡🧵It ‘seams’ that word of mouth worked well, the news has quickly spread,
That this business we’re seeing here…the fabric and the thread?
The TATTLE-Talers passed it on, that one best not FORGO,
A chance to purchase this great blouse…now everybody knows…
    There’s blue and there’s a purple check, a pea-green SOUPY one,
And they can’t make them fast enough to get the orders done…
The LESSON here for us today, just like a small child’s speller?
Simplicity’s always in style…and they’ve hit on TOP SELLERS! 🪡🧵

Sew…Just as our girl is saying…today, we’re seeing a “good problem”. A bit of oxymoronic phrasing. I like oxymorons…Deafening silence, love-hate, and that old standby…jumbo shrimp. And today, I guess our designer is dealing with somewhat of a minor miracle, since she seems surprised at how she’s called upon to button things up when it comes to these blouse orders…I guess it’s a case of controlled chaos…(And can you tell that I’m big on alliteration, besides oxymorons)?…Anyway, I digress…But speaking of words…

…No new words today, but it seams we have two new anagrams, with the other two patterned after words from August of 2009-ROGOF, and January of 2012-SLOENS. And as for the Early Birds, today the common thread? Easy, breezy…No needling like yesterday, with that DO-OVER imbroglio…Today, they sewed it all up in no time…

And today, we find ourselves in the fashion design studio of Tailor Swift, and her protégé, Sewphie Turner. Dealing with an unexpected demand to supply their new blouses, we overhear them basting in the glory, while at the same time wishing for more time to sew things up. But, they shouldn’t be on pins and needles…Let’s face it Folks…we should all have these problems, right? A blouse selling like hot cakes? They’ve got themselves a winner here…and that’s definitely better than trying to sell a product that’s just sew-sew. And with TOP SELLERS like this? Well, there’s no reason to seam-stress(ed) at all!

Jeff’s Gems? Three sewing machines, three blouses with arrow collars, and our two close-knit characters. But look closely. The blouse farthest left? Are those buttons on the wrong side? Hmm..The common thread though here today? Simplicity!

Sew…There you have it Folks, Done. Have a good one. Be well, stay safe…and I’ll leave you with some words of wisdom that my Mother and Grandmother passed on to me as I was trying to follow in their footsteps and wield a needle and thread…”As you sew…so shall you rip”. And till this day, I needle the help I can get…Ok…that’s my last stitch effort…I’m out of material…🪡🧵🙋🏻‍♀️

  2. 🤦🏻‍♀️ The teen group learned their LESSON, when after poor planning rendered them unable to display the TOP SELLERS because of the SOUPY, damp weather, and having to FORGO the entire sale, they each promised not to TATTLE on one other. 🤦🏻‍♂️

🥮 SHE wondered if the little ones would TATTLE ‘bout her plan,
She’d hate to FORGO the surprise…to make the perfect flan…
Where before it was SOUPY, she now had it down pat,
And learned her LESSON well enough to add some this and that…
She’s hoping they enjoy it, and will deem it finally stellar…
And it goes on to become one of her dessert TOP SELLERS! 🥮

  3. Fun day!
When I was a kid I would come home from school and watch SOUPY Sales (reh o reh)!
Dodgers stinking last couple days, mostly due to failing umpires. Some of the worst calls I’ve seen in Baseball.
We are home from our vacation on the central California coast and gained 20 degrees during the drive. Missing Cambria which is awesomely beautiful.
Hope you all have planned an awesome weekend!

    • Agree on the umpire missed calls. The checked swing was a swing, and the pitch was a strike anyway.Either way a strike 3 and the third out.But I guess we can’t cry over spilled milk.

  4. Good morning. Another easy go of it from the words to the cartoon answer. Unable to come up with the blind solve though. Ella is the tops, enjoyed listening to her Angela. Until tomorrow stay well and stay safe.

    • Good Morning, Paul. I’m with you all the way. Easy, breezy puzzle…and Miss Ella definitely the tops. I listen to her often. Hoping you stay well and safe too, Paul. Have a good one. 🧵🙋🏻‍♀️

    • At breakfast this morning, found an easy solve of it…so a great start to the day…..Look forward to Sunday !!!

      • Have a good one, Terry, and yes, definitely an easy go of it today! 🧵🙋🏻‍♀️

  5. The designers were not going to grouse
At the sales of the fashionable blouse
    With sales through the roof
    The ultimate proof,
That the garment had brought down the house!

    Over to you Angela!

    • Good Morning, Helen. Too funny! I always write a few, so that my reply can follow your train of thought…And today it looks like two of them both follow suit…(no pun intended)! 🙋🏻‍♀️

🧵The woman designed a great blouse,
Turns out it’s now the hit of the house…
      The sales going fast,
Not like times in the past…
When she’d find herself too prone to grouse! 🧵

👚 Their blouse has now gone through the roof,
With the numbers there’s nothing but proof…
      It made a big hit
      With a tailored fit…
For a look that’s demure or aloof! 👚

  6. Anagrams were a quick solve, even tattle w the multiple T’s.I had to pause over the cartoon solution, being stumped by the 3 letter word, but when Top popped into mind, the “Top sellers” phrase was a quick solution. The cartoon reminded me of my Mom and her sisters who shopped frequently for ‘tops’ and blouses at ladies’ apparel shops.

    • Exactly, Professor. That was the key…It’s about women’s “TOPS”. Kudos on the solve! Enjoy your day, Prof. 🧵🙋🏻‍♀️

    • Hi Eleanor. 👏🏻👏🏻Kudos! And it’s always such a pleasure to see you here. Be well, stay safe and have a wonderful day. 🧵🙋🏻‍♀️

  7. Topped off a good week jumble wise. Anagrams were an easy solve as was the cartoon answer. Wishing all of you a good day.

    • “TOPped off”, indeed! 👏🏻👏🏻! Well played, Betty. And wishing you a good one, too! 🧵🙋🏻‍♀️

  8. Hi all – A quick pause on TATTLE (after seeing LATELY). No idea about the answer, but a look at the letters showed TOP, giving it away.

Oh BROTHER, Angela has so many good puns today we have to SINGER praises.

    Good wishes to everyone.

“The SOUPY fog caused the pilot instructor to FORGO the day’s LESSON, lest someone TATTLE on him for unsafe behavior.”

    • LOL! Brother AND Singer? 👏🏻👏🏻…Good MATERIAL! Thank you, Steve. And nice going with the Soupy fog…Here’s to a good one…🍻Enjoy! 🧵🙋🏻‍♀️

  9. FROM THE BETTER LATE THAN NEVER FILE…
As I was cleaning up my files on today’s puzzle, I noticed something that I missed this morning. On the blouse farthest left, aren’t the buttons on the wrong side?…I guess since I’m plagued with that Left-Right Disorientation thing, it never registered. But now? All of a button, it hit me! Have a good night, Everyone! Enjoy! 🧵🙋🏻‍♀️
