  1. Good Morning, Everyone… 🏡 BUILDING A HOME…
    …FOR WHAT IT’S WORTH…IT’S AN INTERESTING DEVELOPMENT 🏡

🎶 WOODn’t it be nice if we were older?…Then we WOODn’t have to wait so long…And WOODn’t it be nice to live together, in the kind of world where we belong? Oh, WOODn’t it be nice?…🎶 “Wouldn’t It Be Nice” – (with apologies to) The Beach Boys 1966 https://tinyurl.com/2dhrvwsr

🏡 Building from scratch, exciting…long as you don’t OVERDO,
As you go over suggestions…some seem ODDLY strange to you…
But if you trust your architect, not WILDLY go in blind,
Together you can come to terms…designing thoughts entwined
    It’s VITAL that you both agree…avoid a money pit…
And make decisions where you feel for sure you “WOOD” LOVE IT! 🏡

For a moment, I found it a little odd that we were dealing with OAK again today, having just dealt with it on Sunday. https://tinyurl.com/xwstmpwx But I suppose David just likes Oak…And while I’m definitely not looking to throw any shade here, I was looking for a punch line…but all I’m coming up with is acorn-y pun or two, so I’ll just cut my losses and move on. No use barking up the wrong tree…

So…While all of our words have built a solid reputation within the Jumble Lexicon, today we do seam to have all new anagrams. But there was nothing odd about them, (except that we’ve just seen the word ODDLY as DOYDL two weeks ago)…and they were easily deciphered. Well, except for one sliver of a pause…Seams one of the Early Birds swore our last word was DO-OVER. “We always called do overs when we played games growing up in Brooklyn”, he said. Uh…sure. But one, we’re not in Brooklyn anymore, and two, it’s two separate words…So, suffice to say, the others, being floored, needled him into the ground over his fir pas. But did he bristle about it? Just for a second, forest I could tell…And as for our solve? Easy, breezy…it didn’t stump anyone. Anyway, with all our ducts in a row…let’s not lumber along here any longer…Let’s get to the root of our puzzle…

OAKy…With today’s cartoon built around an architect’s office, we find our couple, Ashley and Spruce Willis planning their future home. And with blueprints laid out before them, the question of flooring comes up. But as the architect, Evelyn Wood, suggests oak, we see Ashley light up like a Christmas tree…yet Spruce, while definitely on board, seams a bit more spec-tical, I mean skeptical. I guess it’s the word “budget” that seams to have caused him to bark a bit. It’s always been the timber of Spruce to worry about money, and I’m sure some of the costs so far have floored him, so I suppose it wood stand to reason that he’s not looking to branch out too much further here with the budget…But the bottom line? It’s OAK-y dokey all around…Oak floors? They “WOOD” LOVE IT!

Jeff’s Gems? The panel is pretty much cut and dry. A model home on the table behind them, a monitor on a back desk, and Evelyn is sporting double hooped earrings. And I did notice that Jeff meticulously included the seal and signature at the bottom of the blueprints. Nice. But it’s the look on Spruce’s face that amused me. Cedar way Jeff’s drawn him, with his BROWS FURROWed? Like he’s ready to KNIT-pick? I definitely su-spec-t that he’s been giving Evelyn a run for her money…making sure she doesn’t run away with his!…And I just hope they’re not getting bogged down in cementics with building this house…

So, There you have it Folks, Done! Have a good one. Be well, stay safe…and here’s hoping we’ll all soon have a lot less to pine over….Knock on wood…🏡 🙋🏻‍♀️

  2. Eating breakfast in Basel and due to time change, our online newspaper not out yet, so had to hunt down online version… Was successful and a partial blind solve gave us LIKE IT… but knew WOOD correctly. Anagrams a snap. Another clever puzzle.

  3. 🔬 They all WILDLY agreed that they WOULD LOVE IT if they didn’t have to OVERDO the minutia, and could just concentrate on what was VITAL to the experiment, like the ODDLY caused fungus…🔬

🤷🏻‍♀️ While most things weren’t VITAL, the group seemed to OVERDO,
And most of what they’re doing? ODDLY strange to me and you…
They WILDLY get excited ‘bout nonsensical tidbits…
If they’d just stick with the program…Everyone then WOULD LOVE IT…🤷🏻‍♀️

      • No…(I don’t think so)…but maybe if you hum a few bars? 😉 🤦🏻‍♀️

        • Meant RAP TAP ON WOOD….made fairly famous by Bobby Short…NYC Cafe society pianist at Carlyse Room…on youtube

          • Now that’s a verse of a different color! 😉 Yes, I am. 🎶🙋🏻‍♀️

  4. Seemed wildly easy with oddly repeated vital clues. Another blind solve. Are we “overdue” for a difficult puzzle?

    • LOL! I think you’d have to define difficult, Don! 😉…Yes, it was a very easy one. And I like your “overdue”! Enjoy your day, and thanks for taking the time to comment. 🏡🙋🏻‍♀️

  5. No problem but, strangely I paused at ODDLY. At first glance I thought ‘DOLLY’ but the letters did not support my hypothesis. I know this happened to me before when this word came up.
This week hasn’t been so bad (YET).
    Tomorrow’s a new day……………………………………

    • I also did a double take when I saw this thinking it could be dolly, but then was surprised when it was oddly; thought gee whiz haven’t we just seen this word and we had earlier in the month.

      • Hi Alan…Yes, it is a little odd seeing Oddly used again so soon. IDK…Maybe David couldn’t see the forest for the trees? 😉 Have a good one, Alan…and thanks for commenting…🏡🙋🏻‍♀️

    • An understandable overSIGHT, Mig, and I’m pretty sure you won’t be alone with it. Have a good day, and stay safe out there…🏡🙋🏻‍♀️

  6. Good morning. This one should have been saved for a Monday as it was that easy especially since we just saw Oddly not too long ago. The cartoon was almost a blind solve. I had like for the second word then when I did the letters it turned out to be love 💕. Loved your song choice Angela. That will get the day going, you got to be pumped after hearing those guys. Until tomorrow stay well and stay safe.

    • Good Morning, Brooklyn. You’re right on the money…Definitely an easy one. And you’re right again about getting pumped with The Beach Boys. They made some beautiful, memorable music. Be well, Paul…and stay safe out there…🏡🙋🏻‍♀️
Oh…PS: So the DO OVERS? As long as we said it fast enough…we were good, right? I know it got me over many a time! 😉🙋🏻‍♀️

        • Hi Mike. Long time…Tks for this. Funny, I guess we never realize what goes on behind the scenes, especially in the case of such a great feel-good song. A “happy” song, just as Brian says. Sad though that life hasn’t been all that kind to him over the years…but the man was one hell of a songwriter. Hope all is well with you and yours, and that these insane weather patterns haven’t affected you. Be well, stay safe…and don’t be such a stranger. Take care, Mike. 🎶🙋🏻‍♀️

  7. Wow! They couldn’t ask for more,
    The latest in home décor
Though the price of the oak
    Might mean that they’re broke,
They’ll float on their new hardwood floor!

    • Hi Helen…
💸 Great that husband and wife here agree,
That the flooring they’re hoping to see…
      Is one and the same,
So there’s no one to blame…
When the architect mentions the fee! 💸

      • That’s right Angela. The decision must be FINAL. ‘cos there’s no switching to VINYL! I could go on… but the outdoors beckons…… and it’s a beautiful day here. Hope your day is a good one.

        • Cause as good as they look, ….You don’t want to get took! 😉…
Thank you Helen, and I hope you enjoy your day too…🏡🙋🏻‍♀️

  8. Readily agree, didn’t we just see oddly and dolly as anagrams?Having easily gotten the anagrams, and ‘wood’ being an obvious 4 letter cartoon solution, the rest was a quick virtual blind solve. An easy Monday puzzle on a Friday.

    • Yes we did, Professor. Dolly on Monday, and Oddly on the 8th. And yes, definitely an easy one today… Enjoy your day, Prof! 🏡🙋🏻‍♀️

    • Thanks, Betty. And yes, definitely an easy, breezy one. Wishing you a Good Friday, too. Enjoy! 🏡🙋🏻‍♀️

  9. Hi all – No problem with the words after seeing “over” giving “overdo”.
A minute thinking about the answer showed WOOD and the rest without needing the letters.

    Good wishes to everyone.

Laughed at “cementics” Angela, and that’s one of my all-time favorite Beach Boys songs. I’m always impressed by the good word choice when they sing “and after having spent the day…”.
Brian Wilson, “The man who wrote the soundtrack to Summer.”

“It was ODDLY familiar when the new rock star thought it VITAL to WILDLY OVERDO everything on his tour just like his predecessors.”

    • Hey Steve. It’s definitely a great song. It’s been in my head for hours…and I don’t even mind! 😉 And happy to give you a laugh…Nice take on the Wildly Overdo! Have a good day, Steve. Enjoy! 🏡🙋🏻‍♀️

  10. When most words with y in them end in y, it makes it too easy. Surely you could be more creative in this area.
