🎶 Ev’ry morning about this time she get me out of my bed…A-crying, GET A JOB…After breakfast ev’ry nay…She throws the want ads right my way…And never fails to say….GET A JOB…sha na na na, sha na na na na…🎶 “Get a Job” – The Silhouettes 1957 https://tinyurl.com/ouqac3w
🦖 I never saw the movies, so it’s BOGUS to pretend,
In for a penny or a POUND, comes out to the same end…
My take could turn out RANCID, so I’ll just say what I think,
And if I’m wrong, well…what the hey…you swim or else you sink…
This could be *Larry Daley here, chronically unemployed,
The guy with keys and microphone? It’s best that I avoid…
Ricky Gervais, or Dick Van Dyke? But neither look like him,
And dinosaurs? I’d be quite lost…so it looks pretty grim…
But *”Night at the Museum”? I’m going with the guess,
Is Ben Stiller the new hire? Again, I must confess…
I’m lost in JUNGLE-like brambles, but you know I’m no snob…
I bow to any one of you…So who’s SECURING THE JOB? 🦖
Have a good day, Everyone. Be well, and stay safe out there. 🦖🙋🏻♀️
🐘 While on Safari through the JUNGLE, they thought it was BOGUS when they came across POUND after pound of RANCID meat lying by the side of the road, but the men SECURING THE JOB of guiding them said they’d seen it before…🐘
🍇 The POUND of fruit was RANCID, that wasn’t hard to see,
This BOGUS guy manning the cart…the blame belonged to he
Sure competition JUNGLE-like, but this guy was a slob…
Who sanctioned this, just who ok’d him SECURING THE JOB? 🍇
Rancid was for me, like many others voting, the stumper. I was able to back in once I had the answer. Job popped out from the letters, and guessing the first word ended in ing enabled me to find the rest. I’m not familiar with Night at the Museum but it didn’t matter. Wishing all a great day.
Good morning. Had to look up Rancid. Haven’t seen that word for some time and it eluded me like the cartoon answer. Should not have given up so quick. Especially when you see the answer. Until tomorrow stay well and stay safe. Oh Angela, really loved your song choice.
Tks, Paul. Glad you enjoyed it. 🦖🙋🏻♀️
Rancid also gave me reason to pause, but having gotten that along w the other anagrams, and after securing the 3 letter word ,job, the entire cartoon solution, came into view, after some examination of the available letters.
Good jumbling of the anagrams this morning. Job was a given in the cartoon answer so securing fell nicely into place. Appropriate song choice as always, Angela. Wishing all of you a good Thursday!
Thank you, Betty. 🦖🙋🏻♀️
This week is winding down with Dodgers 1-1 and me 3-4 in the anagram department. NIRDAC smelled up my solve attempt because without some of those letters I couldn’t get to SECURING (although the clue was big with him receiving the big ring of keys!). So I had blank blank blank blank blank ING the JOB which is a failing effort. Ahhhhhhhh, Thursdays!
See y’all mañana in a brand new Jumble………………………………
Hey Mig…It wasn’t just SECURING the Job by getting the Keys…It’s a SECURITY job! 🦖🙋🏻♀️
I get that too, Angela, but the keys are used to ‘secure’ doors so the security guy is securing the museum.
On a different note, I can’t seem to get the puzzle in the evening from the Tribune. End up watching some long ads but no new Jumble. Do I need a ‘key’ or something? Or do the early birds pay for a subscription to the online puzzle to get it early????
Mig, confused as usual
Hey Mig…Yes, the keys. I just meant that it’s a double whammy type of solve, with it being a “Security Guard” Job. I like those. As for the puzzle, I’ve noticed the same thing. I always got the ads, but now it doesn’t seem to be there at midnight, my time. So, I haven’t bothered. I just wait until 3-4 AM, and it’s there. I have no idea when they’ve been posting. Sorry I can’t be of more help.🤷🏻♀️
Hi all – Using IC as a suffix didn’t work, so I had to write the letters to get RANCID. The answer was most likely xxxxING THE JOB, so the remaining letters and the set of keys in the cartoon showed it.
Good wishes to everyone.
Angela, that song must be where the 50’s tribute band SHA NA NA got its name, don’t you think? (I haven’t looked it up.)
“He found that even the organic food industry could be a JUNGLE when he discovered his hundred-POUND shipment of flaxseed oil used BOGUS ingredients and had turned RANCID.”
Hey Steve. Yes, it is. 🦖🙋🏻♀️
