  1. Good Morning, Everyone. 👔 SUIT UP…AND SEND ME THE BILL 👔

🎶 BILL…I love you so, I always will…And though devotion rules my heart, I take no bows…Oh, but BILL, you’re never gonna take those wedding vows…Come on, BILL….Oh, come on, BILL…Come on and marry me, BILL…🎶 “Wedding Bell Blues” – The Fifth Dimension 1969 https://tinyurl.com/yxa7zvlh

👔 When buying suits as Custom-made, there’s nothing should be HIDDEN,
It comes to the FINALE, you expect them to be fittin’…
Just like a glove would fit your hand, comfy as a T-Shirt,
We sense KITTY-like purring, as we hear Melinda BLURT…
“You’re looking great in that new suit…and know, if looks could kill?
You’d slay them all…‘cause there’s no doubt you definitely FIT THE BILL”! 👔

Feeling the tug of that ol’ déjà vu, and knowing how I’m PROGRAMMED,…I just had to go digging into the FILES this morning. And…Lo and BILLhold, FONT memories… there it was. Way back on June 7th, 2013, we joined Bill in a CLOTHESly related puzzle…where he bought a “new CASHmere robe, because he wanted to UPGRADE his”…SOFTWEAR. Good one. But today, he’s going for something that better SUITs his needs. Ok…time to adDRESS our WORDs..

With nothing new to add to our Jumble SPREADSHEET, I do feel a POWERful need to POINT out that both RUBLT and TIYKT appeared just as is last year, along with Finale. And Hidden was just that…buried way back in 2014. As for a stumper? Not today. In fact, there was a lot of “ALGO first…ALGO first”…as the Early Birds all tried to BYTE their way to the front of the line….

As for our cartoon… https://tinyurl.com/y2g2dkkv . We find ourselves standing outside a tailor shop, looking in through the WINDOWS, as a tailor, measuring tape draped around her neck, adjusts a CUSTOM-made navy blue suit jacket for her customer. The customer, BILL GATES https://tinyurl.com/8pzhj2x, remarking how comfortable the FIT is, is accompanied by his wife Melinda, (fashionably wearing a pair of Coach flats), who’s letting him know how EXCELlent he looks. And why shouldn’t he? After all, a custom-made suit will always… FIT THE BILL. https://tinyurl.com/y3wq9qdr …And Bill definitely looks like a BILLion dollars!

Great play on WORDs, great cartoon…and that’s all she WROTE. Here’s to a good day, Everyone…Be well, stay safe…and keep in mind…There will always be envious people out there…and you know how it is…As soon as you start to EXCEL, they always start to SPREADSHEET about you…👔🙋🏻‍♀️

….And thoughts and prayers for all our neighbors in the path of Delta. 🙏🏻

      • Yes, he was Professor. A true Gentleman…on and off the field. Sports would surely benefit with more like him. ⚾️🙋🏻‍♀️

        • Whitey Ford was quite a man and that’s a lot coming from a Brooklyn Dodgers fan! I read on the internet (where everything is true and vetted 6 times) that he died while watching a Yankees playoff game. Ironic? True? Only the internet knows for sure……….
          Salud!

          • Brooklyn Dodgers fan? Get out! How so?…My Father was a die-hard Brooklyn Dodgers fan…until you know when…Then the franchise was dead to Him…And He raised us as Mets fans. But He always admired Whitey for the man he was. He didn’t admire the Yankees though. We couldn’t even eat Yankee Doodles growing up in Brooklyn…It was strictly Devil Dogs or nothing…😂 But I think any sports fan worth his salt, gives a tip of the cap to Whitey. He was deserving of it…And I read the same stories…which I must say sent a little shiver down my spine. The makings of a movie…if you ask me! ⚾️🙋🏻‍♀️

  2. 🎭 During the FINALE, a black KITTY emerged from the HIDDEN door behind the stage, startling some cast members, and causing them to BLURT out…”This doesn’t FIT THE BILL”…🎭

🧽 They told her KITTY litter would remove the oil stains,
And so as a FINALE, she thought “I hope this sustains…“
Her driveway looking spotty, what was HIDDEN now looked drab,
She took litter and scrubbed as hard as she could on the slab…
And sure enough it did work, and with that she had to BLURT,
“I wonder if this formula would work on greasy shirts”
But reading the care labels, that thought quickly she did kill…
She’d stick with her detergent, litter just don’t FIT THE BILL…🧽

  3. In solving this Jumble, i found that the second word was KITTY. When I solved this, I looked up, and lo and behold, there was a KITTY out in our lawn, threatening the birds at our feeder. I got out my squirt gun, went out the other door, and came in from behind, squirting the cat several times before he ran off my lawn. It was a tuxedo kitty, so he was already well dressed in a tux. I don’t think my squirts fit his bill, though.

    • LOL! Good Morning, Jim. I was bracing myself for your usual barrage, but this is definitely a refreshing change. So, I thank you! 😉 Cute story…God knows, I can definitely could use the laugh. And not being a cat person, (nor a bird person), your story amuses me…But I hope you haven’t opened up a Pandora’s box here…As for the tuxedo, I wouldn’t know a tuxedo cat from one dressed in a ball gown, so I can’t comment. But again, thanks for the laugh. Be well Jim, and stay safe out there…👔🙋🏻‍♀️

  4. Good morning. Had slight pause on almost everything but managed to complete it all. Bring on Sunday. You couldn’t have scripted a better ending to the Yankee game then having the guy that was knocked to the ground by a close pitch to his head hit the game winning homer the next time he faced the pitcher. Loved your song choice Angela. Until tomorrow stay well and stay safe.

    • Good Morning, Brooklyn. Yep, quite a close. Karma’s a b—-h. And Chapman dropping the ball (no pun intended) for the second time. Reminiscent of Altuve’s game-ending drive in Game 6 of last year’s ALCS. Just not meant to be I guess. But I do think that the post-game travesty of 🎶NY, NY🎶 was a bit much…TBT, lately I do try to root for NY…with all that we’re going through here, we deserve something to cheer about. We’re really taking a beating…Anyway…I’m glad you “approved” of my song choice this morning…😉 I’d hate to think that I was responsible for starting your day off on the wrong NOTE! 🎶😉 Have a good one, Paul. Be well, stay safe…and wear your mask! 👔🙋🏻‍♀️

      • Judge might have caught that homer if they didn’t have that weird padding sticking out over the field that he bonked his head into. I thought that was very strange.

        • Yep…it’s the talk of the town this morning. Not to mention what it did to me to see him hit his head…🤦🏻‍♀️

    • Hi Ronald, Good Morning. Yes, it was… Have a good one…Be well and stay safe. 👔🙋🏻‍♀️

  5. If I had Bill’s billions I’d dress like Steve and his geniuses…. I’d drive a car like Warren’s. I’d be the non-rich guy with billions. This Jumble was no match for me or for any of you I would guess. I always find it a little weird when a real person currently alive is a subject in the Jumble but it does add some fun to the exercise.
We went to our favorite restaurant last night for the first time in months. We dined al fresco in the valet parking area which was quite nicely decorated and lit. The food was exquisite so no complaints here—let’s have more ‘new normal’ please!
Cool and dismal looking out there which is quite an improvement. Supposed to be patchy rain in SoCal this morning but so far it has bypassed me.
Have a fun weekend, one where the Lakers win the trophy!

    • Well, Gates isn’t exactly one to flaunt his gazillions either. But it is nice to see a man “Suit Up” as Barney might say…😉 I personally love the look of a man in a suit. I just do..which is not to say I don’t like the look of a man in jeans…I’m not the pretentious type at all…But there’s just something to be said about a suit…And I guess I’ve just said it! 😂 Anyway, nice to hear that you got out last night. I’ve still not dined anywhere but home, at the homes of family, or out on the boat. And as much as I enjoy dining al fresco, I still haven’t taken the restaurant plunge. I’m way too nervous…And we seem to be having so many setbacks here in NY, that I fear doing so won’t be any time soon. But God…how I miss it…😢. And as for the puzzle…Definitely an easy, breezy one…I had myself thinking…”Who programmed this”? 😉 Doing my rain 💃🏻 dance for you Mig, I keep hoping you guys get some relief. Have a good one. Be well, and stay safe. 👔🙋🏻‍♀️

  6. Hi all – A quick pause at HIDDEN, and then a couple of jumbles to see FINALE on about the third try. The “Mr. Gates” in the answer gave it away.

    Good wishes to everyone.

Was “ALGO first” a computer language pun to go with my morning Java? If so, it’s a real Perl. 😂

“He wanted to keep his cards HIDDEN in the FINALE of the bridge tournament, but his partner had to go and BLURT out a bid that gave them away, costing them the entire KITTY.”

    • LOL!!! Why yes, it was! And thank you for noticing!..A PERL indeed! 👏🏻👏🏻. And I like your use of the word KITTY. 👏🏻. A MONEY shot! 😉 Have a good one, Steve. Be well and stay safe…👔🙋🏻‍♀️
(And extra bonus points…(as we like to say)…if you can tell me that you get my Barney reference to Mig….) 🤷🏻‍♀️

      • The only place I’ve seen the expression “suit up” was in a clip from “How I Met Your Mother”, but I’ve never seen the show, so the only Barneys I know are Fife from The Andy Griffith Show, and a big purple dinosaur. 🦕

        • Bingo! 👏🏻👏🏻 Barney Stinson from HIMYM. It’s his catch phrase. 🙋🏻‍♀️

  7. Easy one today. All in all it’s been a successful week. As Paul said, we’ll see what happens tomorrow – a stumper maybe??? Wishing all of you a good day.

    • Good Morning, Betty. Yes it is. And I’m sure we’ll conquer tomorrow! Wishing you a good day too. Be well and stay safe. 👔🙋🏻‍♀️

  8. Does Jeff sweat glitter too?????
