Nothing new to add to the Jumble FAMILY’S Playbook today, and we’ve just one word playing double duty. LORDL – having paid a visit back on July 12th, 2014, just as is. And all four words have appeared within the past few years. But the word that had the Early Birds crying UNCLE? TRAUMA…in fact, three of them suffered total defeat…But the solve? Now that they shared KINship with…Every one of them had something to write HOME about…Ok..Now, let’s BREAK BREAD…I mean move ahead with todays cartoon.
Two couples, a photo album, and a round of mine’s bigger than yours. We find ourselves in the living room of the woman who has five brothers and sisters, being upstaged by her guest, the woman who has eight. And one can’t help but think …”definitely before cable TV”. All the while, their husbands stand in the background, playing the same game. Definitely a new twist on SIBLING Rivalry…But the bottom line? And our other woman is searching her phone for proof that Eight Wasn’t Enough…What can I say? Oh BROTHER’s all that comes to mind…

Trauma gave me reason to pause,but working backwards from the ” all relative” cartoon solution gave me the trauma solution.The cartoon featured a “large” family of 6 and a family of 9. My wife’s family wins the contest,as she has 8 brothers and 8 sisters,for a total of 17 in her family.

TUAARM evaded me and I even have some training in it (same thing happened a while back with FIBULA or was it TIBIA? With many Ls floating around I said “What the ELL” and came up with ALL RELATIVE. Double letters helped in DROLL and MUDDLE but not TRAUMA. Another day another fun Jumble!
Maybe some very slight and patchy rain in SoCal tomorrow, overcast and chilly today, all good for winding down our many fires. Hopefully no more man-made pyrotechnics but we never know…

Hi all – Now *there’s* the proper word DROLL which people thought was DROLE as a second solution for OLDER recently (if memory serves).
Putting the odd ‘U’ in the right place was the key to seeing TRAUMA.
The answer was obvious from the cartoon.
