  1. Good Morning, Everyone…. 👑 THE KING …AND HI 👑

🎶 He is HIGH AND MIGHTY…Mighty is his power, mighty is his love…He is HIGH AND MIGHTY…He is there with the answers, let us lift him up…🎶…“High and Mighty” – Dolly Parton 1993 https://tinyurl.com/y5o8z7nr

👑 There’s nothing worse than arrogance, of all the social sins,
I have a HEAVY disdain for a person this way spins…
There’s those who MIMIC others, they think they’re so above,
They hide behind a HYMNAL, but when push comes down to shove…
Their colors shine through brightly…and most oft times it’s red,
With arrogance, I BUDGET almost every word they’ve said…
So just because this guy is King, and speaks other than blighty
His tongue is not impressive..it’s too forked and “HI” AND MIGHTY! 👑

So, a MIGHTY different statement with our words this morning. Of the four, one, MIMIC appears to be brand new…but the other three? Not just old words, but old anagrams to boot. And while two of the Early Birds were THRONE by HYMNAL, it didn’t keep them from SINGING David’s praises. It’s a masterful scramble…

As for our cartoon? Finding ourselves within the Kings castle, we see him sitting smugly in all his REIGNing glory. From the looks of the two subjects closest to him, it stands to reason why he’s greeting them by saying …”HI” in Spanish-“Hola” and in French-“Bonjour”. The “guten Tag“-German, and “Greetings“-English, completes his repertoire. And while the Spaniard and the Frenchman are impressed, the conversation between the two men at front leaves much to be deSIREd…Obviously not taken with the monarch, their attitude is more…”Too much of a good King“, or putting it more bluntly, considering that his linguistic prowess seems to be limited to just saying HI…“Too little knowledge is a bad King”…And as for our fifth subject, we may never know where his loyalties lie…he just seems to be indifferent…as if he’s just shrugging his shoulders…probably the Court GESTURE…Anyway, it all boils down to this…Just because you may posses somewhat of a Golden Tongue, it doesn’t mean you have the Midas Touch…And this “HI” AND MIGHTY King’s hardly REIGNing them all in…

Eye Candy? The King’s sporting a ring on each hand, and his Crown is inscribed with the Jumble’s Signature Scripted “J” encircled within a Square. But it’s the Throne that caught my eye…I’m pretty sure it’s made of TOUNGEsten Steel…

So, There you have it, Folks. Done…Have a good one. Be well, stay safe…And I’ll leave you with a bit of Royal Humor…One of the King’s servants offered Jell-O to his son, the Prince, but was immediately taken into custody. He was accused of pudding on heirs….👑🙋🏻‍♀️

  2. 🙇🏻‍♂️ Hating having been put on a BUDGET by his HYMNAL thumping wife, he began to MIMIC her in a HEAVY accent…and couldn’t hide his disdain for her HIGH AND MIGHTY condescending ways…🙇🏻‍♂️

🤷🏻‍♂️ While working on the BUDGET, he felt his shoulders slump,
Mismanagement had done them in…now HEAVY was their hump…
They’d need to tie their belts real tight…he told the council members,
But some had nerve to MIMIC him…as far back as September
He cut the funding for their booze, and upped HYMNALs instead,
The backlash wasn’t kind at all…these guys are so ill-bred…
    Who lies and who’s a cheater…and too large a number flighty…
And yet they all profess to be so very HIGH AND MIGHTY!🤷🏻‍♂️

  3. Good morning. Another stumper on Hymnal today, but the cartoon answer was a snap. Think it’s time to restock on my blueberries and strawberries. Been without them since Tuesday. Another successful song choice on today’s cartoon and first time hearing it. With you Angela, the hits keep coming. Until tomorrow stay well and stay safe.

  4. Being a retired math prof, one wouldn’t expect me to be a linguist of sorts. In HS I was a classical honors student, studying 4 years of Latin and 2 years of Classical Greek ,reading Homer’s Illiad and Odyssey in the original Classical Greek. Then in college I studied a year of German and a semester of French, before passing language exams in each for my PhD, in grad school. How’s that for a math guy?

    • Wow Chuck, sounds like you could have translated the Rosetta Stone for your thesis! How are your Hieroglyphics? 😂 (The BBC had a good story recently about the two different approaches that were used to translate it). We’ll talk about it – my treat at the fancy new restaurant, “La Maison de la Casa House.”

  5. Hi all – I had to pause at the last word, but then saw BUDGE and BUDGET. HYMNAL stumped me for awhile longer until I just suddenly recognized it from previous uses. “HI” was obvious in the answer, and the letter layout gave the idiom.

    Good wishes to everyone.

I got a laugh from “court gesture” Angela, and also getting in a reference to Royal instant pudding along with the Jell-O. Now all I need is a Table Talk pie and a cardboard cup of Hood’s vanilla ice cream and I’m all set! Fine dining from my youth.

“The church’s HEAVY debt burden got so bad, the choir members had to MIMIC each other from just a couple of volumes scrounged from the BUDGET HYMNAL salesman.”
