  1. Good Morning, Everyone… 👕IT’S’ A GOOD FIT! 👕

🎶 Those OLDIES but GOODIES reminds me of you…The songs of the past bring back memories of you…I.always remember the first night we met….The songs they were playing I never will forget…🎶 “Those Oldies But Goodies” – Little Caesar and the Romans 1961 https://tinyurl.com/y63f5ju2

👕 I think we all have T-Shirts that have seen better days,
But somehow we’re attached to them…and we fight parting ways..
Some may be BLAND and faded, maybe bear a TOOTHY grin,
Despite it all we love them…and the memories within…
The concerts where we bought them, the AUDIO so fine,
I liken it to savoring a glass of chilling wine…
The memories a SPIGOT…they flow out easily,
And no one realizes what these T-Shirts mean to we…
I’m sure our guy’s bought shirts since then…these years of long 30…
But somehow this one he still keeps…”OLD-T“ BUT A “GOOD-T“…👕

So, there was a damper on the SMILING this morning. The reason? HYOTTO. Four of the Early Birds chewed on the word for so long, that the others, who’d already solved it, had long lost their GRINS…SufFACE to say it was definitely the stumper….And in addition, it looks like it’s a newcomer to Jumblese, since the search of my RECORDs came up empty…

Our cartoon. Ok, show of hands…How many of us have been there, done that?…Had a shirt that we just couldn’t part with? I know I’m guilty. And it’s not just the one, either. It’s gotten so bad, that most times when I “tell myself“ that I’m cleaning out my closet? I definitely know that I’m SHIRTing responsibility by keeping them all. But hey…Yes, I’m known to give most people the shirt off my back…but these? I just don’t COTTON to the idea. Plain and WRINKLE…So, it’s obvious that our guy today feels exactly the same about his black T-Shirt, from U2’s 1988 “Rattle and Hum” Concert Tour. https://tinyurl.com/y5bubojc. He’s handled it with care all this time, and here, now, more than thirty years later it’s aged well…The shirt may be OLD, but it’s still GOOD as new…It’s an “OLD-T” BUT A “GOOD-T”.

Eye candy? Jeff’s given us the perfect example of a die-hard aging rocker, with his torn jeans, and his hair worn long in a pony tail…while it’s lost all its CROWNing glory. Him saying that his shirt ROCKS is a nice NOTE too. And the woman’s raspberry-colored vintage MTV T-Shirt is definitely a keeper. But today I think I’ll take a different tack. Do we just assume that the woman we see is his wife? I only ask because if she were, wouldn’t she already know that he hand washes and line dries his shirt? Well then why the need to tell her, right? Think about it…It is a BONO fied question…

So, There you have it, Folks. Done…I hope this finds you well, and I wish you all a day of “Silver and Gold”, out there “In God’s Country” …👕🙋🏻‍♀️

  2. Tom Seaver. 1944-2020. This lousy year claims yet another beautiful soul. RIP, Tom Terrific. You were always a true Gentleman. God speed. ⚾️.

      • Good morning. Tom Seaver was the heart and soul of the Mets. He was a gentleman on and off the field. He will be surely missed. He is free of illness and in a better place RIP.

    • Sad to hear about his death and dementia. He seemed so sweet when my son got his autograph years ago.

    • A good California boy, born in Fresno, ended up a winemaker in Calistoga for the last 20 years or so. Glad he found everlasting fame in between with the Mets and elsewhere. I still vividly remember watching him win his 300th game in a White Sox uniform (on TV). Ted Robinson, the US Open tennis announcer among many other things, was talking about him on KCBS this morning. Ted grew up in New York and saw his debut with the Mets, and then got to know him as a broadcaster and later at his winery, and obviously considered it a highlight of his life. He also conveyed how special it was to see him make the Mets respectable and then champions in the aftermath of the Giants and Dodgers moving West.

  3. 🤦🏻‍♂️ Between the AUDIO being off, the BLAND tasting hors d’oeuvres, the cheap wine in a box with a SPIGOT, and the smug TOOTHY grin of the host, he knew he couldn’t stay…since the party listed as an OLDIE BUT A GOODIE…proved to be anything but…🤦🏻‍♂️

🦷 She hated how she smiled, the TOOTHY grin too much,
It’s bothered her for all her life, depressing her and such…
She constantly heard AUDIO, repeating in her head,
That she looked unattractive…and her social life was dread…
Her tears ran like a SPIGOT, her days nothing but BLAND,
And things had definitely gotten just too far out of hand…
She researched for a dentist…and hoped finally that she…
Advanced in age would smile bright…OLDIE BUT A GOODIE…🦷

  4. Good morning. I was stuck on Spigot and had to look it up. When it came time for the cartoon answer which was brilliant by the way I just hung up my spikes and looked at the answer. Enjoyed your song choice and was amazed at all the groups that I never knew. Like the song I knew but not the group. Until tomorrow stay well and stay safe.

    • Good Morning, Brooklyn. Thank you. One of my cousins said the same thing to me this morning about the groups…And I’m behind you 💯%…today’s solve is brilliant! Be well Paul, and stay safe. 👕🙋🏻‍♀️

    • Good Morning. Maybe a little more outside the box than usual, but one can’t deny the wit. Be well, and stay safe out there…👕🙋🏻‍♀️

  5. Hi Everyone – Outstanding answer. The small words helped me out. I was able to find A of course, Old and But, which enabled me to see the rest.

    • Good Morning, Caroline. I agree. And great work on the solve! Be well and stay safe. 👕🙋🏻‍♀️

  6. AUDIO slowed me down a little but the solution ran screaming down the road. I like to keep trying for a long time but didn’t have a clue on this one. I looked for some BON-O connection but alas! I think it was a clever solution, however dim witted I am…..

  7. Hi all – Cruising right along the words until coming up short at the third one. Looked like TOYOTA or its Mattel version, a HOT TOY. Then possibly the guy has another T-shirt of HOOTTY and the Blowfish. Wrote the letters to see TOOTH and got it. Also got “Oldie but a goodie” from the letter layout, but didn’t see how that was a pun or why the quotation marks, so wrote down the letters which revealed that it was OLD-T and GOOD-T. Very clever.

The guy’s pants aren’t in as good condition as his T-shirt, but they’re old and ripped enough to be the height of fashion. All you have to do is wait long enough. The detail I really liked though, was the woman’s MTV T-shirt. I’ve got one almost like that, with an astronaut planting an MTV flag on the moon.

    Good wishes to everyone.

“The BLAND AUDIO from the headphones distracted him from the TOOTHY mess in the sink as his dentist turned on the SPIGOT and said ‘Spit!’ “

    • Hi Steve,
I too first thought HOOTY which could go with the BLOWFISH but wondered if Darius would be OK spelling it with a Y. I got the rest of the words quickly but not the solution, which was clever.
      Have an awesome day!

  8. The answer wouldn’t come to me today, though I admit when I saw it, I slapped my forehead. Lightly. 😂
