  1. Good Morning, Everyone… 🏌🏻‍♂️DÉJÀ VU…ST ANDREW? 🏌🏻‍♂️

🎶 Here I GO AGAIN…I hear those trumpets blow again….All aglow again, takin’ a chance on love. Here I slip AGAIN, about to take that TRIP again…I got that grip again, takin’ a chance on love….🎶 “Taking A Chance on Love” – Miss Ella Fitzgerald 1955 https://tinyurl.com/y4g6vbeu

🏌🏻‍♂️No one would CROSS the Ocean and just cut short their leave,
But staying longer I could see…t’s easy to believe….
So Jeff and David on LOCALE… St Andrews is well known,
In fact I’ve heard of those who just for golf to there have flown…
The beautiful Scottish countryside, still TRENDY ‘oer these years
No crying UNCLE for a man golfing amongst his peers
Not sure if now they’d visit…with the virus reigning boss…
But fact or fiction there they are…and plan to STAY THE COURSE…🏌🏻‍♂️

STAY THE COURSE…In more ways than one…So you know how I get when I feel something’s familiar, right?…Those wheels start turning, and it’s just PAR for the COURSE with me…It’s as if a little BIRDIE’s whispering in my ear…Well, today’s no exception…In fact, today was a double whammy… I found myself gnawing at that bone from both ends. Not only did St Andrews come to mind, but STAY THE COURSE too was resonating in my ears…So I took off on a TRIP of my own…And you’ll never guess what I found. The St Andrew puzzle, yes. PUZZLE: https://tinyurl.com/yyofydbf
POST: https://tinyurl.com/y5d6kgf5…And you’ll note that I mistakenly identified the man at right as a woman. The HAIR threw me off, but later on Steve gave me the HEADs up that what I was seeing were muttonchops. Mea culpa. And if you can, enlarge the cartoon…you’ll see that the belt buckle of the man at left bears the logo of St Andrews… https://tinyurl.com/y3o3jyhd …which I also missed…Mea, mea culpa!

But the solve? Not one, not two, but there it was…I found it three times! And since I’ve told you before about how disorganized my files are, I only went back to 2015, so who knows..there might even be more. But wait until you take a gander at two of them…With a nod to Yogi, it’s definitely déjá vu all over again…PUTT first things first…

Over the years, we’ve seen dozens of golf-themed Jumble puzzles. But today, we’re in modern day Scotland, and we see Jeff and David at the site of the iconic Swilcan Bridge https://tinyurl.com/yycakux7 at St Andrews Links, https://tinyurl.com/y3hxpqre the home of golf. With Jeff whimsically asking if they can “STICK” around, and David excitedly answering that they’ve scored an extra two days…What a STROKE of luck, right? So they can STAY…they can definitely STAY THE COURSE!..

And as for eye candy… The man caddying for them both is wearing a Tee-Shirt depicting the course’s crossed clubs logo. And the clubs he’s carrying are in a bag labeled “Jumble”, written in its signature script. There’s the scripted “J” on the head on Jeff’s club.. And of course, there’s the Bridge. But it’s David’s old-fashioned pink checkerboard Knickers that got me. https://tinyurl.com/y6l4756v …In this day and age? David…I never thought I’d have any reason to say this to you, of all people…but …there are NO WORDS!

So, There you have it Folks, Done…Oh wait…the déjà vu…Ok. Here’s the three puzzles, dated 2016, 17, and 18. But take a look at the last two, in PARticular…Now how’s that for a TRIP?

Enjoy your day, Everyone. Be well and stay safe out there…🏌🏻‍♂️🙋🏻‍♀️
PS…A lot of LINKS today, huh?

  2. 🏫 He hated getting CROSS with his UNCLE, but he had no intention of renting his property just because it was in a TRENDY LOCALE, and was determined to STAY THE COURSE and keep searching…🏫

🙅🏻‍♂️ He wondered if they’d once again CROSS paths within the group,
The last time he’d cried UNCLE…and was definitely thrown a loop…
Things really became TRENDY, where before at their LOCALE,
The atmosphere was more relaxed…and better for morale…
But since this guy had come around, professing to be boss
Dynamics changed and all he wanted was to STAY THE COURSE…🙅🏻‍♂️

  3. Good morning. No problem with either the words or cartoon answer. I hit a home run unlike the miserable Mets. When your watching them you expect them to implode at any time. Loved your song choice Angela. Until tomorrow stay well and stay safe.

  4. Hi Everyone –
After getting wiped out on Sunday, I’ve had it pretty easy so far this week.
Though I’m not a golfer and don’t follow the sport, I enjoyed reading about the course and its famous bridge.

  5. How I wish I could play the course as easily as I was able to play this Jumble!
    Stay well

  6. I’m with Caroline, still recovering from Sunday’s stumper. Today’s puzzle was a breeze even though I know very little about golf. Wishing all of you a good Wednesday.

  7. Hi all – Quick one again today. The first word looked like LUNCH but a second glance showed UNCLE. Double letter trick for CROSS and LOCALE, Y at the end for TRENDY. It seemed that COURSE was probably in the answer, and since STAY wasn’t in the dialog, that solved it.

    Good wishes to everyone.

I liked your “lot of LINKS” pun, Angela. And your mentioning the knickers reminded me of watching golf on TV as a kid and seeing (if my memory is correct, not going to look it up, risking being ‘dead wrong in public’) Gene Sarazen as the only one wearing those knickers then. Was it Paine Stewart who wore them more recently? Time to hit Wikipedia!

“The couple’s UNCLE was so CROSS at having to go to a TRENDY LOCALE for their wedding instead of his familiar country club, he not only didn’t send a present, he changed his will!”

  8. To STAY THE COURSE of course you must extend your stay at the LOCALE, St Andrews. A TRENDY little hamlet which hosts the Open (not the British Open as some Yanks refer to it). You must CROSS the iconic bridge to complete your round, unless you are going to cry UNCLE. I doubt any of you reading this would give up like that, and I suspect you noticed that the solution and Jumble words from today were done in reverse order, as is proper and right!
As easy as this was it was still fun…
Best to all and to all a good day!
