  1. Good morning. Not too much trouble with the words today. A break and return seemed to clear the cob webs and the words came easier. The cartoon took much more time to get. But atlas I succeeded. Until tomorrow stay well.

    🥇It’s nothing very LAVISH, but our FEISTY looking girl,
    Has made herself a box of sorts of her Olympic pearls…
    She handles them quite SOFTLY, no way they’ll fall ASTRAY,
    IGUANA with this puzzle? Uh…no, no way for today…
    She’s making it a RITUAL, she speaks to them you’ll note,
    And I thought it was Simone, who’s been often called the Goat…
    But counting up the medals, it just made my bubble burst…
    Regardless, with these medals they’re displayed with FIRST THINGS FIRST! 🥇

    So, once again this morning, I feel like I’m JUMPING through hoops, because I came across a word that I can’t find in the VAULT. SOFTLY. Seems odd, right? Such a common word? But…I gave it my best shot, and…nothing. So once again, I have to hand it to David for raising that BAR a little higher…he just keeps coming up with these new challenges for us. The man truly has no COMPETITION when it comes to all this…As for the Early Birds? A few of them blinked at FEISTY…Not just the word itself…That whole “I before E” thing RAISED its ugly head once again, and they ran PARALLEL to one another. So when I thought we were all finished? Uh uh…it was only the FINAL FIVE…because Feisty kept them from going for the GOLD… And when I sort of chastised them about the rule?…They told me to DISMOUNT from my high HORSE…because it really didn’t HOLD true here…And as of this writing…it still HANGS in the BALANCE…

    And speaking of Feisty…As I mentioned above, I thought for sure that our featured character, with that beautiful BEAMing smile was the feisty little powerhouse Simone Biles..https://tinyurl.com/y7khzsy5…but with the 2 Gold, a Silver and a Bronze medal that we’re seeing, it just doesn’t add up with the Olympics Logo that’s imposed on her display…I was FLOORed…but maybe I’m wrong…So, I’ll just FLIP it OVER to you all…What do you think?

    The solve? She’s hanging the Gold medals, that are awarded for FIRST place, FIRST. FIRST THINGS…FIRST. Now that’s an easy WIN!

    Eye candy? It might just be my eyes…but if those GOLD medals are hung by their ribbons, won’t they drape over the words SILVER and BRONZE? It just seems a little off-BALANCE to me…So, There you have it Folks, Done. I wish you all a wonderful day…with hopes that we can all raise the BAR a little HIGHER…And I’ll leave you with a little Gymnastics humor…

An incredibly easy Sunday,I usually have problems with the additional anagrams and more letters,but after a pause for astray,the anagrams and obvious first in the cartoon solution,were an amazingly quick solve.Speaking of first,today was our first Mass attendance inside the church,since Mar 7.We had gone to a few parking lot Masses observed from inside our car,but this was our first inside the Church experience since March.

  5. Hi all – I would have had trouble with IGUANA if I hadn’t just happened to recognize it from previous puzzles. In keeping with your Kid’s Jumble Angela, I first saw ANTIGUA in the Caribbean. Likewise with FEISTY which I thought of from the singer Feist (and which I also tried as FIEST first.)

  6. 🦎 Always considered FEISTY, they felt he definitely went ASTRAY when he purchased the IGUANA, and made a weekly RITUAL out of giving it this LAVISH bath, with music playing SOFTLY, so they decided to intervene…and FIRST THINGS FIRST, they contacted his family…🦎
    …I need another coffee to tackle another rhyme! 😉🤷🏻‍♀️

  7. 💃🏻🕺🏻The affair would be quite LAVISH, with a tropical appeal,
    They’d have exotic animals, to give it a real feel…
    They purchased an IGUANA, and a Gecko was on tap,
    There was a FEISTY Gila that they managed to entrap…
    This RITUAL they held each year, they needed it to pay
    For all the dough they spent all year…finances gone ASTRAY…
    The walking SOFTLY, with that stick, as Teddy once had said,
    It didn’t help with bills to pay…something they’d often dread…
    So this year they’re excited…breaking even at its worst…
    Is better than the debt they’re in…they’re taking FIRST THINGS FIRST! 💃🏻🕺🏻
