  1. Good Morning, Everyone. I hope this finds you well…Here are the “Jumble Jems” in today’s cartoon…🎳

The proud Grandfather’s name is Walt. It’s embroidered above his left shirt pocket… and on his right sleeve, he sports his 300 Game patch, depicting two pins, behind a bowling ball, reading the #300. And Walt now uses a 3-prong walking cane, which is being held in his right hand. The gentleman to the left, who doesn’t seem to have the right hook on his ball to score the spare, is wearing a shirt that reads “Pin Pals”, showing a ball and two pins. Nice spin on a Bowling Team name…as seen here in two of the many great Bowling themed puzzles we’ve been given to play with over the years…

Looks like we’re definitely on a roll to start a new week…Set ‘em up! Be well, Everyone, and stay safe…🎳🙋🏻‍♀️

  2. With words to SPARE…🎳

🎳👏🏻👏🏻 In Bowling puzzles of the past, and we’ve sure had our share,
We’d see a woman here and there, a QUEEN trying to spare…
But today we’ve no SASSY gal…and no reason to MUMBLE,
The theme today endearing…Grandpa and his pins of tumble…
He’s proud to tell his Grandson how he scored his perfect game,
So why should women REVOLT? We too applaud his fame…
We’re all happy for Walter here…his feat that shall remain,
And it’s so very touching watching him walk MEMORY LANE! 👏🏻👏🏻🎳

👑 Needing someone to re-enact the SASSY QUEEN at their 40th Anniversary Reunion presentation, there was a bit of a REVOLT going on as members were heard to MUMBLE about who’d be doing the walk down MEMORY LANE…👑

💃🏻 She always acted SASSY, thinking she was quite the QUEEN
She’d gain attention left and right, the girl knew how to preen…
And while she’d hear a MUMBLE of complaint from others round,
She never let it faze her…‘cause she proudly wore the crown…
But this year might be different…a REVOLT might be on tap,
Seems other women finally have wearied of her c…%&!
I think this year what’s pent up…all the feelings of disdain…
May finally bring to an end her walk down MEMORY LANE! 💃🏻

  3. Good Morning. Today was no different from our usual Monday easy breezy jumble. The cartoon answer was done quickly also but I thought the last word was roll until I put down all the letters and only saw one l. It was then that memory lane popped into my head. Yesterday was great because I helped my youngest one celebrate his first Fathers Day. Nothing like family. Until tomorrow stay well.

  4. Being a former avid bowler,I enjoyed the bowling reference.Being a bowling related Jumble,,lane for the 4 letter word was a given, though in my bygone days,we called them ‘alleys’ rather than lanes.I,too ,had a marvelous Father’s Day,with our 2 sons and their 4 little girls, and our daughter, and her daughter, and 3 sons.

  5. One more bowling reference, my Dad who was a better bowler than I,almost had a perfect 300 game.He started with a 9 then the spare, followed by the 11 strikes for a 290 game. With the spare in frame 1, a perfect 300 game was never a possibility.

  6. There seemed to be a REVOLT in the bee hive as the QUEEN began to MUMBLE about how SASSY the drones had become, presumedly from the hot weather.

  7. Hi all – Had to get past OVERT to get REVOLT; the rest fell into place.

I see from the triangles above the pins that they’re probably at an AMF bowling center as opposed to a Brunswick, although both seem to have been sold by now.
The picture about bowling history posted above sure makes it look *really* dangerous to be a pinsetter – no place to get out of the way at all. I never saw those, but my father told me about sliding a quarter down the alley at the end of your bowling session to tip the kids.

Nice details, Angela. I noticed that the guy’s bowling ball is the only one that’s not black, and that rather than going for a 7-10 split as I first thought, it actually looks like a 4-10, of which I converted exactly one during all my bowling experiences (playing duckpins).

    Good wishes to everyone.

“Facing the biting sarcasm and wit of the SASSY QUEEN reduced the knight’s bold proclamation of REVOLT to a mere MUMBLE.”

    • Hey Steve…Thank you…And I guess it depends on how you roll..😉The colorized version in the paper depicts all 5 balls as basic black. A different spin 😉 I suppose! And I like your sentence take! 👏🏻 Have a good one, Steve. Be well and stay safe. 🎳🙋🏻‍♀️

  8. Easy one this morning but I too was looking for alley at first in the cartoon answer. We used to have so four or five bowing alleys in the city years ago but I think we’re down to one now which is located in the Presidio. Have a good Monday.
