  1. Good Morning, Everyone. ♦️YOU GOTTA HAND IT TO HIM ♥️

🎶 I wanna HOLD ‘EM like they do in Texas, please…FOLD ‘EM let ’em HIT ME, RAISE it, baby, stay with me (I love it)…Love game intuition, play the cards with SPADES to start…And after he’s been hooked, I’ll play the one that’s on his heart….Can’t read my, can’t read my POKER FACE…No, he can’t read my poker face…🎶 “Poker Face” – Lady Gaga 2008
    https://tinyurl.com/bo9dq4q

♦️ A poker player needs be cool, and never tip his hand,
You might just clear your THROAT, and someone takes it for a stand…
You’re playing for AWHILE, you’re glancing at the rest,
Whose head is down, and who’s sitting with cards close to his vest…
You can’t IMPAIR your judgment just ‘cause SPORTY draws an Ace,
You start to FIDDLE with your thoughts…and you chance losing face…
Just play the hand, not ORNERY, be cool and just stay calm,
Don’t widen eyes or shake a knee…don’t outstretch either arm…
And if you feel the time is right to go all in with grit…
Be like Mike here…he’s confident to TRY HIS HAND AT IT..♥️

…And you gotta hand it to our Jumble Guys…they’re always drawing us into these Poker games! If I didn’t know bettor…I’d think maybe someone’s heart might be in the wrong place…But whatever the reason, these puzzles are always a hit…Anyway…let’s not hold this up any longer… Let’s see what’s in the cards for us this morning….

Except for DLIFED, which was just played this past October 14th, (and just happened to be a gambling puzzle also).. https://tinyurl.com/ybcdkchb. we’ve been dealt new anagrams this morning, but no new words. And they’re a good mix too. One of the Early Birds questioned AWHILE…he feels it’s not one word… and another two blinked at SPORTY. But there wasn’t anything that caused any of them to fold…And with that being said…it’s time to flush out our cartoon…

As I mentioned earlier, we find ourselves sitting in on a Poker game…with the usual suspects. Our players, from lower right going clockwise: Lissa, holding a pair of Aces, Big Mike, either sitting this one out, or holding his cards way close to the vest, https://tinyurl.com/ybawfrxy, Mike, in a Virginia Tech sweatshirt, showing a red pair of twos, Jeff, looking edgy, and Donnie, donning an Indiana Pacers Tee, going out. On the floor, we can see left to right…the 2 of clubs, Ace of Diamonds, 2 of spades, King of Diamonds, and the 3 of spades. And with Donnie questioning Mikes move, he’s seen tossing his cards on the table, folding.. https://tinyurl.com/yc6dczle. From the look on Jeff’s face though, he seems very surprised…while Lissa is heard saying that Donnie usually folds anyway..or does she mean Mike?…So, if that’s holding true, Jeffs incredulousness may be coming from the fact that he too is surprised at Mike’s bravado…A first!…Mike’s “going all in”. https://tinyurl.com/y9r3zle4…he’s decided to TRY HIS HAND AT IT! And all with a poker face! And a pair of deuces in his hand…Is he bluffing? Is Lissa sitting pretty with her pair of Aces? And who’s she referring to with the fold? Is Jeff going home flush? Is Big Mike even in this hand? Should there be so many questions this early in the morning? Well don’t go by me, Kids…I don’t even fold laundry!

So, There you have it, Folks, Done. Wishing you all a good day, and hoping we’re all dealt a good hand sometime soon. Be well, stay safe…And let’s all pray things get bettor…♦️♥️🙋🏻‍♀️

  2. 🎻 The old FIDDLE player acted ORNERY when he was told that his attire was too SPORTY to be admitted into the club, so he cleared his THROAT and thought it ridiculous…it’s not like it would IMPAIR his performance…but since he did have a suit, after AWHILE he just decided to go home AND TRY HIS HAND AT IT…🎻

🏎 The car was fast and SPORTY, she ran fit as a FIDDLE,
Tom saw his ORNERY neighbor…as the car sat in the middle…
He felt his THROAT get tight because John always found some fault
They never could see eye to eye…there once was that assault…
Determined not to let him IMPAIR his life no more,
After AWHILE Tom walked over and opened the car door…
He figured a complaint was due…he braced for bullet bit…
But John asked was there a chance he could TRY HIS HAND AT IT? 🏎

  3. Good morning. Another enjoyable jumble. My choice for hardest word was Ornery. I looked it up. Not one of my combinations came up with that word that raised my anger for failing to get it on my own. The cartoon answer was simple which changed my emotions from ornery to pure joy. After studying the letters my first response was correct. Putting aside all words without a “G” ie: get or go, the answer just popped into my head. By the way they put extra locks on the metal boxes at the bocce court to deter playing of which I hadn’t as of yet. However we have started to play knock rummy. Only 4 players now for a week at least. People have been playing paddle ball or hand ball. They just pull back the fence. If PD shows up that means someone called and they chase. Loved your video and song Angela. Wonder what she is like without a camera on her. Don’t take this wrong but for a plain girl she does get the most out of her attributes. She is amazing. After this I’ll tackle the rest of your blog. Until tomorrow stay well.

    • LOL! Brooklyn, how you tickle me! “Don’t get this wrong…but for a plain girl…”! I don’t think Gaga is all that plain…but after having seen her in “A Star is Born”? I think she’s much prettier without all the makeup. And as for her off-screen persona, it’s said that she’s quiet and somewhat shy and reserved. Do I believe it? Again…don’t go by me…I don’t even fold laundry! 😂😂 Either way, I like the girl, and I’m glad you enjoyed it all…As for the Bocce court…things are beginning to open up for us this week, so I’m sure it won’t be long. Just be sure to have your mask…And I’m glad you’ve had the rummy games to tide you over…And I’m even happier that you calmed down with the puzzle solve…😉 although I doubt you’re ever ORNERY…Be well, Paul. And stay safe when you get out there…♦️♥️🙋🏻‍♀️

    • Good Morning, Lee. Sorry, but I don’t think there’s a connection per se. I just commented on what was written on the player Mikes shirt, so I suppose the friend of Jeff’s is an alumni of Va Tech. Be well Lee, and stay safe. ♦️♥️🙋🏻‍♀️

  4. Hi all – This was a bit of a struggle. The double letter trick gave FIDDLE quickly. Seems like we talked about ORNERY varmints like Gabby Hayes recently. IMPAIR was my second hardest word, but guess which one took AWHILE? All I saw at first was a book title combining Isaac Asimov and Moby Dick – “I, WHALE.” It wasn’t until I tried A as the first letter that I saw it. Then the answer also took “awhile”, until I saw HAND in the letters and that gave the rest.

    Good wishes to everyone.

“The FIDDLE player controlled his temper for AWHILE, but just felt so ORNERY that despite his SPORTY scarf, he managed to IMPAIR his THROAT in an unfortunate bow accident.”

Angela, yesterday’s story about D-Day in the EBT told of the French people who are still grateful – “ ‘Last year, this place was full with jeeps, trucks, people dressed up as soldiers,’ said Eric Angely, who sat on a seawall wearing a World War II uniform after taking his restored U.S. Army jeep out for a ride. ‘This year there is nothing. It’s just me now, my dog and my jeep’ the local Frenchman said.”

    • Moby Dick, indeed! You should have heard my friend this morning…A WHILE …2 words. He boarded on adamant…And then the others started in on him…it started to get a little out of hand…until someone called him a Diamond in the rough…and then they went off on a 6° jaunt…I was happy to just let them play amongst themselves!! 😂😂 I’ve always been touched by the outpouring of love and gratitude that comes from the French regarding D-Day. I don’t get through articles like the one I posted without choking up. So this year is so bittersweet for us all…But how amazing, right? Placing all those wreaths. We must never forget…And I give you props for your sentence…A more eclectic mix we haven’t seen in AWHILE!!! 😉 Hang in there, Bunkie…Be well and stay safe…♦️♥️🙋🏻‍♀️
