  1. Good Morning, Everyone…I hope this finds you well…🙋🏻‍♀️

🥒 Wanting so badly to be the WINNER, he wondered what went wrong to cause his entire GOURD crop to grow so FLOPPY, and he was FLOUNDERING in an effort to find his ERROR…🥒

🤷🏻‍♂️ They couldn’t draw a bead on him, his phrasing all so strange,
Example he’d say GOURD for head…some thought he was deranged
At crosswords, sure a WINNER, but in his normal speech?
Why FLOPPY when he could say limp? They thought him out of reach
The other day a baseball game …the camels back he’d break
They’d finally had enough of him and remarks that he’d make…
A hit and then an ERROR and he shouts, “The guy is groundering”
Gimme a break, just a bad play…he needs to quit this FLOUNDERING! 🤷🏻‍♂️

  2. Good morning. Today’s jumble was the easiest ever. For me everything was a blind solve. I never looked at the cartoon until I got the words which took less that a minute. Once I looked at the cartoon it was an instant read. We use to go for flounders when we were kids. One of my favorite fish to eat. Until tomorrow stay well.

  3. I remarked earlier in the year, that 2020 was a repeat or double number year, and that as a result a lot of our anagrams this year contained repeated letters.Low and behold 3 of the 4 anagrams today contained repeat letters, with error winning the contest, with 3 R’s.As far as the anagrams today, they didn’t pose a problem, and were a quick Monday solve along with the cartoon solution ,that didn’t find me ‘floundering’.

  4. Since I started working the jumble, I had never had a success as I did today. FLOUNDERING came immediately to mind, checked the anagrams to see if the letters would be there and YES they were. Went to solve the anagrams, no problem. Only concern was a U, and GOURD jumped out and said “here I am!” Have a great moon day (that’s right MOON day) Stay well, till TOOmorrow

  5. Hi all – The only thing that took me a couple of extra looks was WINNER, even with the double letter trick. The answer was obvious.

Good to see that Jeff took the bait and drew the usual sinking sailboat; the ship was foundering while the fish were floundering!

I looked up ‘flatfish’ on Wikipedia and had to smile when it said “Some species face their left sides upward, some face their right sides upward, and others face either side upward.” So there are right-eyed, left-eyed and ambi-what? Ambi-ocular? You could be reincarnated and still be a lefty!

    Good wishes to everyone.

“The only place he had pictures from when his GOURD was a WINNER at the Half Moon Bay Pumpkin Festival was on an old FLOPPY disk, but when he tried to copy it to something newer the screen just flashed ERROR!”

My song would be an old blues called “Everybody’s Fishin’” by Amos Easton. I only know this through a college friend who started his blues band in 1966, and who is still going strong – he just released an album on a UK label earlier this month in fact.
