Good morning and Happy Memorial Day. Hope everyone is in good health. Today’s jumble was done Lickety-split from the words to the instant read on the cartoon answer. I didn’t even put down the letters on this one. Until tomorrow stay well.
I found the anagrams a Monday Holiday snap, but did pause for the Memorial Day cartoon solution.Speaking of Memorial Day ,I am old enough to remember( yes I am old enough) when Memorial Day was “Decoration Day” and was celebrated on May 30, rather than the last Monday in May.Readily agree, may we ” Never Forget” the sacrifice of all those who paid the ultimate sacrifice for all of us.
Good Morning, Professor. This is an interesting, in depth article about Memorial Day. Hope you’re enjoying your long awaited time with your family. Be well, and stay safe. 🇺🇸🙋🏻♀️ https://tinyurl.com/yyr6p8oe

Good Morning, Everyone. I hope this finds you well… 🇺🇸🙋🏻♀️
A little Jumble Memorial Day Trivia…
Memorial Day 2013, May 27th, the puzzle question was: Congress designated that Memorial Day would always be the last Monday in May so that we’d ….NEVER FORGET.
And in our puzzle today, the Veteran speaking with the young Cub Scout scout, has a hat reading Post Commander Wyandotte Michigan, the same VFW Post that was featured in last years Memorial Day Puzzle. The continuity of our Jumble….
Prayers and respect go out today to all our fallen soldiers. But this year, perhaps we can also take a moment out to remember the almost one hundred thousand lives that are lost so far to the new war we’re fighting…Covid-19. May they all Rest In Peace. 🇺🇸🙋🏻♀️
Good morning. The concert had a Trend for putting its Grove on however when they announced the next band was the Grateful Dead, the place went into a Frenzy. Fights broke out and Police were called to get the crowd to Behave. Let us Never Forget what could have been if they didn’t stem the tide. Take care.
Paul…Did you intentionally mean to get POLICE in there? …Another great rock band? Well done! 👏🏻👏🏻 🎸 🙋🏻♀️
🇺🇸 With the TREND having become to celebrate Memorial Day as a day of FRENZY, with shopping and partying, the the old Veterans decided to teach the young kids that they needed to BEHAVE in a more dignified manner, and took them to the Cemetery near the GROVE, so that they’d NEVER FORGET the true solemnity of the day…🇺🇸
🇺🇸 While whipped up to a FRENZY, with pages of sales galore,
He leafed through his newspaper and began to so abhor…
The way he saw them BEHAVE, on a day that should be spent,
In solemn retrospective…and he felt the need to vent…
How did the TREND become this? What happened to respect?
He went to sit out in his GROVE to quietly reflect…
He thought of all the young men and he wept with such regret…
His fellow soldiers gone now…and he knew he’d NEVER FORGET…🇺🇸
Hi all – No trouble with the words; wrote the letters for the answer and saw it.
Good wishes to everyone; hope you are all safe and well.
A very fitting puzzle for an important day. As in so many places, our Memorial Day celebration at The Presidio will be a virtual remembrance this year. They usually have a lovely service, Boy Scouts decorate all the graves with little American Flags and the veterans of all our our wars are honored with a parade and speeches. Our lovely park is so silent this year. At last count 20% of the staff have lost their jobs. I do hope and pray that at some point people will once again be able to enjoy this absolute gem of a park in the middle of the city. Take care, all.
